Chapter 165 Reflections

It suddenly leaned close to Han Feng's ear, its silhouette formed by light and shadow almost touching his cheek, "The most unique aspect of the power of stars is its malleability. If you want to master it quickly, you should go and see how other families use energy."

Han Feng's eyes lit up. Indeed, observing the trajectory of different energies firsthand would greatly benefit his understanding of the changes in stellar power. The first person he thought of was Liu Xiaoran—as a descendant of the Liu family, Liu Xiaoran's use of energy was always clean and efficient, making him the best role model.

Just as Han Feng was about to ask Zero for more details, a slight rustling sound came from the edge of his consciousness—it was movement from the outside world. Zero's image vanished instantly, leaving only the words: "Someone's coming."

Han Feng's consciousness quickly returned to reality. He opened his eyes, and the bedroom clock showed that only twenty minutes had passed. He tiptoed to the door, and the faint sound immediately stopped.

She flung open the door and saw Liu Mengran standing outside, her hand raised in mid-air, seemingly hesitating whether to knock. She was wearing a light purple nightgown, and the ends of her hair were still damp from her shower, gleaming softly in the warm light of the corridor.

"What's wrong?" Han Feng leaned against the door frame, a smile unconsciously creeping onto his lips.

Like a startled deer, Liu Mengran quickly withdrew her hand, her cheeks flushing red. "N-nothing..." Her gaze darted around, "I just saw you go back to your room alone, and I didn't open the door for you last night..." Her voice trailed off, "I was afraid you'd be upset..."

Han Feng's heart warmed. This silly girl, despite being incredibly shy herself, was still thinking about his feelings. Before Liu Mengran could finish speaking, he pulled her into his arms and held her tightly.

"Ugh!" Liu Mengran gasped softly, pressing her body against Han Feng's chest.

Han Feng lowered his head and buried it in the crook of her neck, taking a deep breath. The jasmine scent of Liu Mengran's shower gel, mixed with her unique sweetness, instantly relaxed him. "Looks like my Mengran is still the best to me," he chuckled softly, feeling the warmth of the woman in his arms.

Liu Mengran's ears turned bright red: "Who...who is your baby..." She struggled symbolically for a moment, but was only held tighter.

Han Feng straightened up, looking at Liu Mengran's blushing face and sparkling eyes, his Adam's apple bobbing involuntarily. He swept her up in his arms, and Liu Mengran gasped, instinctively wrapping her arms around his neck.

"Han Feng! Put me down—"

The protest was silenced by a passionate kiss. Han Feng hooked the door shut with his foot, gently placed Liu Mengran on the bed, but his lips never left hers. At first, Liu Mengran nervously gripped the sheets, but gradually, her hands climbed onto Han Feng's shoulders, awkwardly but sincerely responding to the kiss.

When the two finally separated, Liu Mengran's lips were slightly swollen and her eyes were misty. Han Feng leaned over her, a strand of hair falling down and brushing against her cheek.

"You..." Liu Mengran's voice trembled slightly, "Weren't you sad?"

Han Feng chuckled softly, his fingertips tracing her burning cheeks: "It was a little hot at first. But now..." He leaned down and whispered in her ear, "With you here, everything is alright."

Liu Mengran wanted to continue speaking, but Han Feng kissed her again, and she heard Han Feng's slightly heavy breathing in her ear: "Mengran, I missed you so much."

Having said this, Liu Mengran's last line of defense completely collapsed. She closed her eyes and began to slowly reciprocate Han Feng's advances.

Soon, cheerful symphonic music filled the room.

The next morning, Su Wanwan rubbed her eyes and walked out of her bedroom, her messy hair resembling a small, agitated animal. As she yawned and passed by Liu Mengran's room, she suddenly stopped—the door was open, and the bed was neatly made, clearly indicating that no one had been there all night.

"Oh dear~ Something's up." Su Wanwan instantly snapped out of her daze, a sly smile playing on her lips. She tiptoed to Han Feng's door and pressed her ear against it.

The faint sound of even breathing came from inside. Su Wanwan's eyes darted around, and she raised her hand to knock three times: "Hey, hey, hey, time to get up! If you don't get up, your parents are coming!" She deliberately raised her voice, "Your aunt and uncle asked you to buy breakfast yesterday!"

A flurry of activity immediately erupted from inside the room. First, there was a dull thud as something heavy fell to the ground, followed by Liu Mengran's hushed exclamation: "Where are my clothes?"

"Here! Here!" Han Feng's voice was hoarse from just waking up. "Oh no, oh no, I overslept..."

"It's all your fault!" Liu Mengran said, her voice tinged with embarrassment. "What will happen if my aunt and uncle find out...?"

Su Wanwan covered her mouth, trying to stifle a laugh, practically pressed herself against the door. Just then, the door was suddenly flung open—

"Wow!"

Losing her footing, Su Wanwan stumbled forward, only to fall into a warm embrace. Han Feng, now fully dressed and exuding a different aura, raised an eyebrow at the girl in his arms: "Well, Wanwan, you're up to no good, eavesdropping?"

Su Wanwan struggled frantically: "Who, who eavesdropped! I came to wake you up—"

Before he could finish speaking, Han Feng leaned down and lightly pecked her lips: "This is your punishment." He then released her, ignoring Su Wanwan's fury, and ran barefoot outside, shouting, "I'm going to buy breakfast!"

Liu Mengran peeked out of the bathroom, her face flushed, the rosy cheeks practically dripping with moisture: "He...he just went out like that?"

Su Wanwan touched her lips that had been kissed, then suddenly chuckled: "Sister Mengran, on your neck..."

"Ah!" Liu Mengran immediately covered her neck, turned around, and shrank back into the bathroom. "Wanwan, you're not allowed to tell!"

Su Wanwan skipped in, saying, "What are you afraid of? Your aunt and uncle already noticed! But you should still be careful, the mark is quite obvious." She squeezed to the sink, picked up a comb, and started tidying Liu Mengran's hair. "But Han Feng... he's much more frank than before."

Looking at Su Wanwan's serious profile through the mirror, Liu Mengran asked softly, "Are you really not bothered? About us like this..."

"What's there to mind?" Su Wanwan tilted her head. "Anyway, as long as the three of us are happy together, that's all that matters!" She suddenly grinned mischievously. "But you did a really good job soundproofing Han Feng's room; we couldn't hear a thing last night!"

"Su Wanwan!" Liu Mengran covered her mouth in embarrassment, and the two girls laughed and joked in the bathroom.

Before long, Han Feng returned home with the soy milk and fried dough sticks he had bought, and urged upstairs, "Are you done yet? My parents must be getting impatient."

All that could be heard was hurried footsteps, and the group headed together to the villa where Han Feng's parents lived.
