Chapter 36 Su Wanwan's Strangeness

As soon as the two parked their car in the garage, Su Wanwan quickly ran into the house, rushed into the living room like a gust of wind, threw her backpack on the sofa, and turned to run towards the storage room.

"Where's the first-aid kit? I remember putting it in last time..." she muttered as she rummaged through drawers and cabinets, her short red hair disheveled from the vigorous movements.

Han Feng slowly walked to the sofa and sat down, the wound on his left side throbbing slightly. He had just unbuttoned the top two buttons of his shirt when Su Wanwan rushed back with a first-aid kit, kneeling directly on the sofa, almost throwing herself onto him.

"Don't move!" she commanded, tearing Han Feng's shirt open, almost ripping it to shreds. Han Feng raised an eyebrow: "So eager?"

"Shut up!" Su Wanwan's ears turned bright red as she frantically opened the first-aid kit. "Your wound has reopened, and you're still talking nonsense!"

Han Feng looked down at her, her hands trembling so much she could barely hold the alcohol swabs, and suddenly chuckled. Normally, Su Wanwan would have exploded, but this time she simply bit her lower lip, focusing even more intently on treating the gruesome wound.

Her movements were surprisingly gentle. First, she cleaned the blood around the wound with saline solution, then carefully disinfected it with alcohol swabs, and finally applied ointment and a sterile dressing. Throughout the process, her bangs fell down, obscuring her eyes, but Han Feng could see her tightly pursed lips and slightly wrinkled nose.

"I didn't expect you to know this." Han Feng said softly.

Su Wanwan didn't even look up: "Hackers aren't just about typing. I already have an emergency response specialist certification, okay?"

Han Feng then noticed that one of the three silver rings on her right ear was engraved with a small red cross. Sunlight streamed through the French windows, casting a soft glow on her profile, softening the edges of her always flamboyant and rebellious features.

Before they knew it, the two were so close that they could feel each other's breath. Han Feng unconsciously stared at Su Wanwan. Her eyelashes were actually very long, and there were a few almost invisible freckles on the bridge of her nose. Her lower lip was bitten white from nervousness.

"Alright!" Su Wanwan suddenly looked up, unexpectedly meeting Han Feng's deep gaze. Time seemed to stand still for a second.

Su Wanwan's face flushed red at a visible speed, from her cheeks all the way to her ears. She leaned back abruptly, almost rolling off the sofa.

"You—you better watch out!" She frantically packed up her medical supplies, her words coming out in rapid succession. "If I die one day, no one will cook for me!"

After saying what could be described as the most awkward expression of concern in history, Su Wanwan jumped up like a cat whose tail had been stepped on. She rushed to her room without even putting away the first-aid kit, almost bumping into the coffee table on the way.

"Bang!" The door slammed shut.

Han Feng paused for two seconds, looking down at the surprisingly neatly bandaged wound under his ribs, a smile involuntarily creeping onto his lips. He reached out and touched the edge of the dressing; even the tape was applied meticulously.

In the room, Su Wanwan buried herself completely under the covers, her heart pounding as if it would burst from her chest. "Why is he looking at me like that..." She buried her face in the pillow, kicking her legs wildly a few times. "So annoying, so annoying!"

In the living room, Han Feng was still staring blankly at his wound, his smile growing wider and wider.

"Ding~ A lewd smile has been detected on the host's face. Do you need emotional counseling?"

The system's electronic voice suddenly rang in my mind, with a distinctly mocking tone.

Han Feng's smile froze instantly: "Zero, when did you develop a voyeuristic tendency?"

"It all started when the host started staring at that young girl~"

The system's voice said in a cheeky tone.

"Would you like me to replay the footage from just now? High-definition and uncensored~"

"Believe it or not, I'll format you!" Han Feng threatened, his ears burning slightly.

"Tsk tsk, getting angry out of embarrassment~" The system imitated the sound of a human smacking their lips.

"However, considering your dominant performance today, a reward will still be given~"

"Ding~ Congratulations, host, your combat proficiency level has increased to Lv4! Current progress: 4/10"

Han Feng's attention was immediately diverted: "The maximum level is 10? What level is Lv4?"

"With your current strength, you could easily kill that Blood Wolf who took the gene serum last time!" the system said proudly. "If you level up to Lv10, wow, smashing a small mountain with one punch wouldn't be a dream!"

A hint of longing flashed in Han Feng's eyes: "How can I level up quickly?"

"Fight more, okay?" the system said irresponsibly. "Or..." it suddenly became cheeky again, "Save the damsel in distress a few more times, that would be fine too~ When Su Wanwan was bandaging you just now, her heart rate soared to 120~"

\"roll!\"

"Okay, okay, I'll shut up~" the system feigned grievance, "But host, you looked really silly laughing just now..."

Han Feng ignored the system. He stood up, stretched his body, and was surprised to find that his muscle memory had indeed undergone subtle changes. Every movement was smoother, as if his body could automatically calculate the optimal attack path.

He punched the air a few times, the sound of the air being cut was sharper than ever before.

"Not bad." Han Feng nodded in satisfaction, his gaze unconsciously drifting towards Su Wanwan's room on the second floor before quickly shifting away.

Kyoto International Airport

At the arrival gate, as a man walked out, four or five men in black quickly stepped forward: "Young Master, you're back."

"Hmm," the man hummed softly.

"Young Master, would you like to return to the family first?" one of the men in black asked.

"Let's go back first. We only have a few days to stay here after all."

"Ah? Young Master, didn't you return from the Northern Military Region?"

“You don’t understand. This time I have higher ambitions. I should go back to see my grandfather first. If I don’t go back soon, he’ll probably skin me alive.” Then he followed the group to the parking lot and got into a Toyota minivan.

"I heard your younger sister has been brought back. Is she home now?" the man asked.

The driver didn't even turn his head: "Miss came back last year. She doesn't live at home anymore; she lives on her own and is studying at Kyoto University."

The man sighed and said, "It seems she still has some reservations about leaving her in Jiang City in person. How about this, you come pick me up tomorrow, and I'll go see my little sister. After all, she's still a member of the Liu family."

"Yes, young master."

This man was none other than Liu Xiaoran, whom Han Feng had met in the Northern Military Region!

Han Feng was completely unaware of this. Since witnessing Long Yuan's combat prowess and Han Feng's solo battle against the genetically modified warrior, which resulted in Han Feng's defeat, Liu Xiaoran had learned that the gene serum could enhance a person's combat strength by 6-10 times, based on subsequent research of the Blood Wolf's corpse at the base.

Liu Xiaoran's curiosity about Han Feng's identity reached its peak, and through the Liu family's connections, he managed to get Han Feng sent to Longyuan to participate in the selection.
