Chapter 40 Invincible Han Feng

The words had barely left her lips when the office door was flung open. Su Wanwan burst in, sporting messy, short red hair and wearing a Longyuan training uniform that was clearly a size too big.

Han Feng looked at Su Wanwan in surprise, then at Lin Zhengguo, who shook his head helplessly.

"Old man Lin! There's something wrong with the system permissions you gave me! Even the basic ones..." She suddenly noticed Han Feng was also there, and her voice trailed off. "Huh? Why are you dressed so formally..."

Lin Zhengguo coughed once: "Technician Su, please be mindful of the occasion."

Su Wanwan then noticed the new epaulets on Han Feng's shoulders, her eyes widening in surprise: "Wow! You got promoted?" She leaned closer for a better look, "Lieutenant Colonel? Such a young lieutenant colonel?"

Han Feng glanced helplessly at Lin Zhengguo, who shrugged: "Everyone's here, let's get down to business. Su Wanwan, you'll be in charge of technical support during the selection process, especially countering electronic reconnaissance and network intrusion."

Su Wanwan pouted: "That's it? Using a sledgehammer to crack a nut..." Her gaze was suddenly drawn to the photos on the table. "Wait, the muscle proportions of these people... are not right?" She turned to Han Feng and said, "Tell me the truth, were the injuries on your body from fighting these people?"

Han Feng and Lin Zhengguo exchanged a glance. This "little hacker's" observation skills were indeed sharp.

"Detailed information will be sent to your terminal." Han Feng stood up. "Now, it's time to meet our candidate."

On the training field, 87 elite soldiers were already lined up. When Han Feng appeared in his lieutenant colonel uniform, a few suppressed gasps rippled through the ranks—he was just too young.

Han Feng stood on the high platform, his gaze sweeping over every face like that of a hawk. Among these people were elite special forces soldiers, reconnaissance experts, and weapons geniuses... but after today, the vast majority of them would be eliminated.

Suddenly he spotted a familiar figure in the crowd—Liu Xiaoran.

No wonder the system said that there was no danger when Liu Mengran got into that military-plated car last time. It turns out that her brother Liu Xiaoran came to Kyoto and participated in the selection for Longyuan this time.

After gathering his thoughts, Han Feng stepped forward and said, "I am Han Feng, the head instructor for this selection. Some of you may have heard of me." His voice wasn't loud, but it carried clearly to everyone's ears. "For the next period of time, you will be experiencing hell."

He pressed the remote control in his hand, and holographic projections suddenly rose around the training ground, displaying the battle scenes of the gene warriors—their superhuman speed, strength, and brutal attack methods made many candidates change their expressions.

"Your final test," Han Feng pointed to the screen, "is surviving for three minutes against opponents like these."

A burly army major in the ranks couldn't help but speak up: "Sir! This...this isn't scientific!"

Han Feng's lips curled into a slight smile: "Of course it's not scientific. Iron Tower!" With Han Feng's command, Iron Tower removed his combat uniform, jumping off the platform in only a black tactical vest. "So now, I'll give you a lesson first."

The tower walked to the center of the field and waved: "Everyone, charge at once!"

The 87 elites exchanged bewildered glances. Finally, the major who had raised the objection stepped forward first: "Excuse me!"

The next five minutes became the most breathtaking moment in the history of the Longyuan selection—Iron Tower single-handedly took down all 86 candidates. His movements were so fast they were almost blurry, each strike precisely hitting vital points, yet controlled to avoid causing permanent damage. Liu Xiaoran had witnessed Iron Tower's prowess before, and simply stood silently to the side.

When the last candidate—a Marine Corps combat champion—was taken down with a spinning kick, the entire training ground fell silent.

At this moment, Iron Tower's shocking words came: "Don't look at me like that. Under Instructor Han, I didn't even have a chance to make a third move."

Everyone gasped in shock. If the soldiers under the instructor's command were already this strong, and couldn't even last three moves against him, just how strong must the instructor be?

Even Liu Xiaoran, who was standing to the side, was shocked. Iron Tower's strength seemed to be even greater than last time. At this moment, the light of longing for Longyuan in his eyes was even stronger!

Han Feng clapped his hands, his breathing barely quickening: "This is the level of enemy you'll be facing." He looked at the candidates slumped on the ground. "Now, does anyone still want to quit?"

Not a single person raised their hand. An unprecedented fighting spirit ignited in everyone's eyes.

Watching this scene through the monitor in the control room, Su Wanwan whistled, "Awesome..." Suddenly realizing what she was saying, she quickly covered her mouth.

Lin Zhengguo appeared behind her unnoticed and said meaningfully, "Wanwan, he'll get even more handsome."

In the distance, the sun finally rose fully, bathing the training ground in gold. Han Feng stood at the boundary between light and shadow, the stars on his epaulets shimmering faintly. He knew that the real battle had only just begun.

"Everyone assemble! Ten seconds!" Iron Tower's roar echoed across the empty training ground like a thunderclap from a clear sky.

The 87 candidates quickly sat up from the ground, hurriedly put on their training uniforms, and rushed downstairs. They had just been taken down by the tower alone, and their muscles were still sore.

"Your reaction time is still too slow," Han Feng's voice came from above. He slowly walked into the light of the playground, toying with a coin in his hand. "The gene warriors won't give you time to put on your shoes."

The coin bounced into the air and was caught by Han Feng at its highest point.

"This morning's training exercises: weighted trekking, gas endurance, underwater shooting, and anti-interference combat." With each word he spoke, the corresponding image lit up on the electronic screen behind him. "Iron Tower will supervise, and Night Owl will record the scores."

As soon as the words were spoken, more than a dozen automated weight-bearing robots drove into the field and stopped precisely in front of each candidate. Each robot was equipped with a 40-kilogram counterweight, almost twice the amount used in regular special forces training.

"Put it on my back, follow me." Han Feng personally carried a robot, as easily as if he were carrying an empty backpack.

The team followed Han Feng into the mountains. The first five kilometers went smoothly, but from the sixth kilometer onwards, the mountain path became steep and slippery. A lieutenant from the Marine Corps slipped and tumbled down the slope with his load, only to be lifted back by the iron tower like a chick.

"Continue." Han Feng said without turning his head, "No one's waiting for you to tie your shoelaces on the battlefield."

Upon reaching the summit, the 87 people had barely caught their breath before being herded into a closed training area filled with irritating gases.

"C5 tear gas, concentration 0.5%." Night Owl coldly announced the rules. "Hold your breath and pass through the 50-meter obstacle course, completing three code-breaking tasks along the way."

Liu Xiaoran was the first to step into the gas field. He held his breath, his eyes bloodshot the moment they came into contact with the gas, but he still traversed the obstacles at an astonishing speed, completing all the tasks within 25 seconds.

"Excellent." The owl recorded the score. "Next."

When it was the turn of a sniper from a special operations brigade, this burly man, standing at 1.9 meters tall, broke down before the third obstacle, tears streaming down his face as he pounded on the exit glass. The tower, expressionless, pressed a button and teleported him out.
