The morning sunlight streamed into the bedroom through the sheer curtains, casting dappled shadows on the floor and creating a perfect picture.
As soon as Han Feng opened his eyes, the first thing he felt was the soft girl in his arms. Liu Mengran was lying on her side beside him, her black hair cascading down the pillow, her breathing even and long.
Her eyelashes trembled slightly, and the corners of her mouth turned up slightly, as if she were having a sweet dream. Han Feng unconsciously held his breath, afraid of disturbing the scene. He carefully raised his hand, his fingertips gently tracing her brow bone, then sliding down her cheek to her chin, as if touching a rare treasure.
"Mmm..." Liu Mengran hummed softly in her sleep, unconsciously snuggling closer to him. Han Feng's heart skipped a beat, his fingertips pausing at her lips.
A few minutes later, Liu Mengran's eyelashes trembled slightly, and she slowly opened her eyes. Her clear eyes were still a little confused when she first woke up, until she met Han Feng's focused gaze, and the scenes from last night flooded back into her mind like a tide.
"Good morning." Han Feng's voice was low and slightly hoarse from the morning.
Liu Mengran's face instantly flushed crimson, the blush spreading from her ears to her collarbone. She instinctively shrank further under the covers, only to feel the touch of their skin against each other even more acutely. The images in her memory became increasingly vivid: the warmth of Han Feng's lips tracing her neck, the rough texture of his hands, and that strange sensation of both pain and pleasure...
"It's...it's still early..." Liu Mengran's voice was barely audible, her eyes darting around, avoiding his gaze.
Han Feng chuckled softly and pulled her closer to him: "Want to sleep a little longer?"
Liu Mengran nodded, burying her flushed face in his chest. Her breath was filled with Han Feng's unique scent, mixed with a faint fragrance of shower gel and traces of the previous night's passion. This realization made her heart beat even faster.
"I'll make you breakfast." Han Feng kissed the top of her head. "I'll come call you later."
He tiptoed to his feet, picked up his scattered pajamas from the floor, and put them on. Before leaving, he glanced back; Liu Mengran had already wrapped herself up in the blankets like a silkworm, only her bright eyes showing. Han Feng winked at her, which resulted in her quickly shrinking back under the covers.
As Han Feng closed the bedroom door, the smile on his lips hadn't yet faded when he was frozen in place by the scene in the living room.
Su Wanwan sat cross-legged on the sofa, holding a steaming cup of coffee in her hands, looking at him with a half-smile.
"Good morning, Young Master Han." Su Wanwan drawled, her gaze sweeping meaningfully over his neck. "Did you sleep well?"
Han Feng subconsciously touched his neck, then suddenly realized something and quickly pulled his pajama collar up. This action made Su Wanwan burst out laughing.
"No wonder someone tore down their room and wanted to renovate it yesterday," Su Wanwan said, taking a sip of coffee, her eyes crinkling into crescents. "So it turns out the room's soundproofing wasn't very good."
Han Feng's ears burned instantly. He opened his mouth, but found he couldn't refute it; last night, in the heat of the moment, he hadn't really controlled his volume. Thinking about what Su Wanwan might have heard, he wished he could disappear into the ground.
"I...I'll go make breakfast." In the end, he could only manage to squeeze out these words dryly before fleeing into the kitchen.
Behind him came Su Wanwan's triumphant laughter: "Remember to fry two extra eggs, someone must have used up a lot of energy last night!"
In the kitchen, Han Feng opened the refrigerator and took out eggs and bacon, his face still burning with embarrassment. He never imagined that someone as capable as him, who could navigate both the business world and the battlefield with ease, would be so embarrassed by a little girl's teasing.
Amidst the sizzling sound of frying eggs, he heard footsteps and hushed conversations coming from the living room. It must be Liu Mengran getting up. Han Feng peeked out cautiously and nearly dropped the spatula.
Liu Mengran's gait was noticeably awkward. What made his heart race even faster was the clear, bright light in the morning, revealing the marks he had left on her neck the night before.
"Sister Mengran, slow down." Su Wanwan immediately stood up to support Liu Mengran, her mischievous smile impossible to hide. "Oh dear, looks like last night's battle was quite intense~"
Liu Mengran's face instantly turned as red as a ripe apple: "Su Wanwan!" She made a move to hit her, but the other party nimbly dodged it.
"Don't be shy," Su Wanwan helped her sit down on the sofa and whispered something in her ear.
Han Feng watched as Liu Mengran's expression shifted from embarrassment and annoyance to shock, then to a mixture of shame and indignation: "You! How could you even hear that?!"
"So it's true?" Su Wanwan's eyes sparkled. "Did it really hurt that much the first time?"
"Su Wanwan!" Liu Mengran grabbed a cushion and threw it at her. "If you say that again, I'll tell everyone about that time you got drunk and hugged the toilet, yelling 'Han Feng, you big idiot!'"
Han Feng's hand trembled, and the fried egg flipped over. What? Su Wanwan has this kind of condition? When did this happen?
"I was wrong! Sister Mengran, I was wrong!" Su Wanwan immediately surrendered, but her gossip spirit was clearly still burning. "So... how did you feel afterwards?"
Liu Mengran bit her lower lip, her voice barely audible: "At first it was a little... then..." Her gaze drifted towards the kitchen, meeting Han Feng's furtive glance. She immediately turned back like a startled rabbit, "Then... it started to feel a little better..."
"Wow~" Su Wanwan drawled out the sound, her face showing an "I understand" expression.
Han Feng quickly looked away, pretending to concentrate on frying the eggs, but found that the corners of his mouth were involuntarily turning up. He plated the fried eggs and bacon, cooked three bowls of plain noodles, and then carried the tray out of the kitchen.
"Breakfast is ready." He greeted her, trying to appear calm, but his composure crumbled the moment he met Liu Mengran's gaze. Her eyes were filled with shyness and sweetness, making his heart race again.
Su Wanwan looked at this one, then at that one, and suddenly sighed: "Sigh, looks like I'm going to be constantly being fed dog food (a Chinese slang term for witnessing public displays of affection) from now on."
"Then why don't you move back to Villa No. 3?" Han Feng said deliberately with a stern face.
"Dream on!" Su Wanwan grabbed the largest piece of bacon from her plate. "It's impossible for me to move it, and besides..." She winked slyly, "What if you need an audience someday?"
"Su Wanwan!" This time, the two shouted in unison. Su Wanwan immediately shrank back and stopped talking.
Just then, Han Feng's phone rang. It was Lin Zhengguo calling. Han Feng gave Liu Mengran an apologetic look and went to the kitchen to answer the call: "Hello, Mr. Lin, what's up?"
