Chapter 34: A Courageous Journey Begins! Escape!

Chapter 34: A Courageous Journey Begins! Escape!

Reinhardt's face was actually only about the size of a palm, and the injured area covered at most a third of it. However, because he had delicate skin and was a little afraid of pain, the fearless leader was afraid that his rough hands and feet would hurt this ancestor, so he applied the medicine very carefully.

He also used his sleeve to wipe the dust off Reinhardt's face.

Then, pinching Reinhardt's chin with his fingers, he lifted Reinhardt's face and moved it up, down, left, and right as if it were a mechanical part, finally fixing his gaze on the small cut on the corner of his lip. The Storm Leader frowned and gritted his teeth, saying, "We should have peeled off a layer of his skin first, that damned little beast."

After saying that, Buster felt a sudden surge of energy in the Reinhardt head he was holding. Like a kitten that had caught the scent of meat and was crawling toward him, that faint curiosity about the unknown events, like a nose searching for the aroma of meat, made him at least seem somewhat alive.

In short: It's like smelling gossip.

The Storm Leader was both angry and amused, wondering if he had been corrupted by Madonna and the others.

This was originally a private matter, and Buster was too lazy to say much, but given that this little taciturn boy rarely showed his emotions, he still chose to satisfy the gossipy heart of the son of the gods.

“His name is Battan Schneider Miva, and he is my twin brother. We were separated when we were very young, so we don’t know each other well.”

Reinhardt seemed to have been piqued, but he hadn't talked much about gossip and didn't know where to start his questions, or rather, he was a little confused about what he was curious about.

Buster didn't force him; in fact, he even gave him a privilege that went beyond the boundaries of a normal partner or friend relationship, a privilege that Buster himself didn't even realize he had.

"Ask only what you think of, don't expect this little sullen potato to sprout right now."

His thoughts were now only on Reinhardt's cracked lip.

His gaze followed the faint red mark on the lips, and the Storm Leader didn't realize that he had been lingering on the other's soft lips for quite some time.

He didn't even notice that the pad of his thumb had inadvertently pressed against that soft spot.

It's a little warm.

The Storm Leader, brimming with vitality, even had warm fingertips as he gently covered the corners of his lips.

It smelled... a little bitter. But the medicinal fragrance mixed with herbs, coming from his warm, calloused palm, inexplicably made him feel at ease.

The clueless Reinhardt failed to grasp the ambiguity implied by the gesture, and of course, the foolish, straight-laced leader was equally oblivious.

He didn't even understand why he did this, but he was unconsciously drawn to the softness of the little potato.

His fingertips inadvertently brushed against the cut on the corner of his lip, causing Reinhardt to wince in pain and instinctively flinch. The movement was very gentle, and Reinhardt showed no resistance, feeling as if a silent kitten was slowly rubbing against Buster's palm.

Perhaps it was because of the strands of hair, Buster felt a slight tickle in his heart, and the rhythm suddenly became unusual.

Suddenly, Buster snapped out of his daze.

"They're back."

With a cold laugh, the Storm Leader's previously gentle tone instantly vanished, replaced by its usual arrogance and a hint of excitement.

His gaze immediately drifted to the door. He raised his hand and gently placed it on Reinhardt's head, rubbing the beautiful blonde princess with what he felt was not much force. Her hair was slightly disheveled from the rubbing, and only then did he hear Buster Dao invite him: "Come on, let me show you the show."

The bewildered Reinhardt was easily picked up by the Storm Leader. Then, the Storm Leader launched a brutal attack, and in the blink of an eye, Reinhardt was taken to the lookout tower with the best view on the entire ship.

He couldn't see clearly, but he could still vaguely see many black dots drifting in from the sky, like snowflakes moving at five kilometers per hour, approaching them at an extremely fast speed.

When the snowflakes fell on the ship, Reinhardt realized that they were actually crew members returning in an airship.

“Chief.” There were still crew members on guard duty on the lookout tower. He wasn’t surprised to see Buster appear. But when he saw the blonde beauty in the arms of the tough guy, his expression was a little strange.

"oops!"

Reinhardt's blindness didn't mean Buster was blind. The leader noticed this strange expression and punched the man in the back of the head. The crewman cried out and obediently turned his head away, no longer focusing his gaze on the Son of God.

Reinhardt's head had just turned around at the sound when Buster's claws pressed it down on his head, turning it back around. Then the latter saw the crew returning to the hive one by one, like bees landing on land.

The returning crew members did not rest but quickly returned to their posts, ready to set sail at any time.

These people were all far away from him, so Reinhardt couldn't tell who they were by smell and sound; he could only vaguely sense their outlines.

"Where is Ms. Celine?" Reinhardt wasn't familiar with the others, so he could only be concerned about the three beautiful pirate sisters with whom he had some connection.

Although Buster was mischievous, he didn't tease him here. Perhaps because they had just had a fight, he couldn't bear to tease the dull little cat anytime soon. He answered honestly.

“The pursuers from Duogu City are not to be underestimated, and we may not be able to shake them off in a short time. If she cannot be sure that it is safe for her to return to the ship, she will leave on her own first, and we will meet up at the next transit point.”

Just like when Victoria was at the Peninsula Pier.

At this point, Buster remembered something and took out a gold ring inlaid with a green gemstone from somewhere, and put it on Reinhardt's left thumb.

"It contains a locator, a communicator, clothing, a flight simulator, lights, a protective shield, emergency food and water, and is capable of dealing with sudden emergencies."

"Does Celine have one too?" There are other crew members as well.

They used this to find the direction of the Infinity, and Buster also used the locator to determine the direction and safety of the crew.

Buster was amused and annoyed by his behavior of putting others first. He kept rubbing his head as if trying to wake him from a dream, and said through gritted teeth, "Her portion is the most advanced on the ship, more advanced and fully functional than anyone else's, because she forged it!"

“Everyone on the ship has one, and yours was also made by her. It’s unique and belongs only to you.”

Reinhardt's head was in complete disarray, his smooth, long hair instantly becoming a mess, but all he heard were the words "unique" and "belonging only to you."

His eyelids trembled slightly, and the tiny specks of light on his eyelashes were like bouncy little elves, jumping around one by one. For a moment, Buster seemed to feel his heartstrings being touched.

...A quiet, stubborn girl who only responds to gentle persuasion.

If you treat him even a little bit well, he will really repay you with his life.

Buster sighed inwardly, then ruffled Reinhardt's hair and said, "I'll teach you how to use it later. Right now, our priority is to escape."

"Martial law has been declared at the dock." A crew member who had been observing the dock's movements noticed the surge in soldiers and the increase in the number of patrolling ships, and immediately turned back to report to his commander.

Bastian nodded, making a decisive decision: "Set sail!"

Author's Note: Buster passed by and pinched Reinhardt's cheek: Hmm? Have you gained a little weight again? Your face is fuller.

Reinhardt silently put down his chopsticks and hesitated before speaking: "Mommy said I'm a pig... if I'm a pig, then..."

Buster interrupted angrily: Who said you're a pig! [Angry] Who taught you this rubbish!

Veroria: [Okay]

——

I've recently been brainwashed by pigs chanting mantras, hehehe.
