Chapter 57 Where are they?
In this absolutely dark space, Reinhard, who had no need for light or sight, boarded the aircraft and, like a free bird, flew over the heads of the enemies blocking his way in an instant.
Buster's eyes were fixed on the blond potato, and he followed closely behind.
The other teammates followed closely behind. With enemies guarding both above and below, they trailed Reinhardt, ascending and descending the dark passageway as if playing a video game. The sounds of enemy combat served as the game's music, and the players occasionally unleashed skills, all perfectly synchronized.
Reinhardt led the charge, flying unimpeded through the corridors and into the inner fortress. Explosions echoed from the other side of the fortress, clearly indicating that another squad was also engaged in fierce combat!
Moreover, they were making rapid progress over there; judging from the sounds, they weren't far from their squadron. Staying there would only cause them trouble. Reinhardt lowered his body, hugged his aircraft tightly, and whispered a command to his aircraft to accelerate.
Having evaded the puppet soldiers, the zombified adventurers, and all sorts of other undead creatures that had also been demonized, Reinhardt made his way through the maze of twists and turns and quickly reached the central garden of the castle.
The garden was equally desolate. The open-air garden, which should have offered a glimpse of the bright moon, was obscured by the swirling dark clouds overhead and the occasional surge of malevolent energy; its darkness was not much different from that inside the corridor.
The demonic aura was so intense that their visibility was even lower. The luminous pearls in their hands, which could illuminate at least three to five meters, had shrunk to about one or two meters. If they hadn't been watching so closely, they probably would have lost sight of the people in front of them long ago.
Buster was a little nervous, not because of the so-called dragon. The place was too foul; even someone as strong as him felt uncomfortable. How could Reinhardt, with his small frame, possibly withstand it!
The tension turned into action, and Buster simply sped up and moved forward. Unexpectedly, Little Stewed Potato turned a corner without looking back, with a clear goal in mind, and guided them in the right direction.
Buster hurriedly followed, and his teammates behind him also picked up speed.
Perhaps to warn the captain and Budney, the last teammate threw signal devices along the way, and then followed Buster and the others, flying into another gate of the castle.
The thick walls kept out the howling wind, and they moved from one darkness to another, with only the sound of the wind reminding them of their surroundings.
Reinhardt, the only one who didn't need light, didn't need the power of wind to clearly take in the entire environment in his mind.
This should be the main hall or chapel inside the castle. It looks like some large animal chased it over; most of the central wall structure is smashed. The furniture is also overturned and in terrible condition.
Instead, the ground was piled high with small mountains of items.
But none of that is the main point. What's more important is the pervasive aura that makes Reinhardt extremely uncomfortable. This suggests that the Demon Eye must have existed here for a long time, or perhaps it is still here now.
Reinhardt slowed down, and Buster caught up, grabbing Reinhardt's cheek and checking him from head to toe to see if the potato was injured or if he looked well.
While he longed for another moment of ambiguity during their time of seeking warmth, he did not want Reinhardt to fall into the same predicament again.
As he expected, Little Potato's skin changed from pale to deathly white. With a sigh, Buster leaned over and hugged Reinhardt, holding his arms and pulling him into his embrace, while rubbing his shoulders to warm them up.
Reinhard himself wasn't paying much attention to his body. He remained seated in the aircraft, his upper body nestled obediently in Buster's arms. Tilting his head back, the beautiful blond deity whispered in Buster's ear.
"The atmosphere behind this door makes me feel very uncomfortable; it might be inside."
Buster couldn't resist.
It should be said that by this point, he no longer needed to maintain his persona.
His fingers caressed the back of Reinhardt's neck, and with a little pressure, he leaned down and placed a soothing kiss between Reinhardt's brows.
"I understand," he said softly.
Though it was inappropriate, Buster now simply found Reinhardt adorable. Absolutely adorable, so adorable that he wanted to bite him and leave his teeth marks on that handsome face.
"It's gold!" someone shouted excitedly, but their voice trailed off when they saw the two brothers cuddling together. "Gold everywhere! Uh, damn..."
“You guys…” The other person was also taken aback.
Buster, however, didn't care at all.
The kiss on his brow slowly moved down the bridge of his nose to the tip. He pinched Reinhardt's chin and took another kiss, then spoke to Reinhardt as if to himself, "The dragons that dwell here are probably no longer living beings. I will open a protective barrier for you. You stay here and don't go in. They're not very strong and can't hurt you."
It's like turning things upside down in front of people; it's extremely disrespectful.
The others listened, their faces turning pale and then red, angrily questioning Buster about his intentions. But Buster, having used them, had no interest in talking to them anymore. So he simply ignored them, took out a plaster photo frame about the size of two fingers, and hung it around Reinhardt's neck like a necklace.
Before leaving, she leaned down and kissed his cheek.
At the same time, he thought Reinhardt needed to gain more weight, to get a fuller face so that when he kissed him, his cheeks would be chubby and the kisses would be really loud.
He then opened the barrier and, all alone, rushed into the gate without any hesitation.
Reinhardt saw his teammates were itching to go in and wanted to join them, but they all stopped him.
Reinhardt's presence seemed to pose no threat to them, and the men spoke frankly without any attempt to hide their conversation.
"Why are you in such a hurry? It's good that he goes in by himself, so we don't have to think of another way."
"Ha, this is the first time I've seen someone so eager to die."
"Let's wait and see when Budney and the others arrive. Hopefully, he can hold on a little longer inside."
Reinhardt felt there was something off about what they were saying. Following his spiritual intuition, he silently retreated in his aircraft, slowly hiding himself in a dark corner.
Not long after, the other teammates arrived.
The captain and the long-haired Budney successfully reunited with the remaining two. Budney looked around, seemingly searching for something. Reinhardt took the opportunity to move to the other side, away from where he and Buster had separated.
"Where are they?" the captain asked.
The guy who ambushed Reinhardt with the pebble pointed to where he had been standing and said contemptuously, "After those two perverts kissed goodbye, the big one went in, and the little one... um?"
Seeing no one, he hesitated for a moment, then shrugged nonchalantly and said, "Anyway, he's nearby. That blind man is in a flying machine. As long as we block the entrance, he definitely won't be able to escape."

Author's note: Buster: Here's a question. If I cover your eyes and then inhale, can you see me?
Reinhardt: ...
Reinhard was particularly absurd and didn't want to answer the question.
