Chapter 55 Talking logic to robbers is nonsense.
Even the most obtuse fool could sense the tension between Buster and Budney, let alone the intelligent son of a god.
He just didn't quite understand.
Although Buster has a bad temper and a sharp tongue, he wouldn't be so rude as to bare his teeth at someone who can still be considered a partner for the time being.
Unless he categorizes people as enemies.
But what kind of enemy is Boudni? Didn't they have a pleasant conversation just yesterday?
However, he didn't have much time to think before the main force began to move.
Almost simultaneously, everyone retrieved their aircraft, including Buster.
Reinhardt felt his body suddenly lift into the air, followed by arms tightening around his waist. The brief weightlessness caused him to awkwardly bump into Buster's chest.
Luckily it was soft.
The powerful recoil and the sound of the air being torn apart made Reinhardt, whose eyesight was poor, realize the speed at which they were flying.
Dusk had fallen, and the mountaintop was covered in snow. The group scattered in all directions, and the thicket of thorns, mostly hidden by the snow, remained silent until the scattered group entered their territory.
In the afterglow of the setting sun, the thorny bushes, which looked as lifeless as withered branches, suddenly sprang up! Like oil erupting from the ground, the decaying branches nearly trapped their teammates flying directly overhead.
Those who made it this far were no pushovers; without exception, they all managed to evade the attacks.
The seven different phantoms, each with its own unique ability, were all so fast that the thorns were completely overwhelmed.
But they also seemed to have a certain wisdom; when their proactive attacks failed, the thicket of thorns quickly extended to the outside of the magnificent castle, building high walls.
The thorn wall under the setting sun reeked of death and decay, but Reinhardt couldn't see it. Otherwise, even while fleeing for his life, he would probably have marveled at the magnificent, desolate scene before him.
Lacking any romantic flair, the Storm Chief, as rigid as steel and in a terrible mood, had absolutely no time or inclination to appreciate the scenery.
He had a burning anger with nowhere to vent it, so he clenched his fist and produced a ball of eerie blue flame. Buster punched the thorn wall and smashed a huge hole in it!
However, before the sound from his side had faded away, a strange noise came from the other side, booming loudly.
Reinhardt was naturally drawn to the scene, turning his fluffy golden head in that direction. Buster followed, his gaze meeting that of the blaster, Budney, who was looking at them.
A large patch of thorns had been blasted open over there, and Budney stood in it, the embers of the setting sun burning on his flowing long hair.
As everyone knows, Budney actually has a pretty good personality; he's gentle and polite, and rarely loses his temper. This eye-catching explosion is clearly contrary to his usual style, and his teammates, drawn by the sound of the explosion, naturally noticed the eye contact between Budney and 'Byrne'.
Everyone quickly understood what was going on and began to want to watch the show.
provocative.
This is blatant provocation.
Budney might be afraid of death, and he certainly is, and he admits he can't beat Byrne. But when it comes to courtship, the fox-orc is absolutely unwilling to concede defeat; he desperately wants to display his masculine charm in front of Hart.
And so, a bizarre competition began.
Budney exploded loudly, and Storm Leader... considering that Reinhardt would be in a lot of pain, he took out a pair of earmuffs and put them on Reinhardt, then exploded even louder!
Budney's blast covered a wide area, so Buster ignited his fist with flames and directly destroyed the large-radius, terrifying thorn wall amidst the crisscrossing aircraft!
The two fought with increasing ferocity, and in the blink of an eye, they had cleared away two-thirds of the troublesome protective wall.
The other teammates were happy to have some peace and quiet, watching the two wild beasts clear the wasteland.
After they had cut down most of the trees, they had safely reached the castle gate.
It's a battle of wits between Land Rovers and their competitors, and it's not over yet.
This is a giant ancient castle perched on a cliff, its walls soaring into the clouds, almost endless. Countless petals and withered vines climb the outer walls, along with thickets of thorns, but due to the violent demolition by two fighting males, many vines and thorns have been torn down, revealing a blackened brick wall.
Occasionally, centipedes and scorpions, the native inhabitants, would flee in panic.
As dusk settled and the afterglow of the sunset was slowly pushed into the clouds by the night, the very essence of life gradually receded into the darkness.
The world fell silent instantly, the howling of the wind was amplified, and gusts of wind and waves were stirred up.
The snow, which had started falling at some unknown time, was mixed with the clearly tracing winds, making people's cheeks sting.
Seeing that both of them were putting in their best effort, the captain decided to use reverse psychology, saying to Reinhardt, "Such a beautiful little guy definitely needs a strong person to guard him, at the very least someone with the strength to break down this door..."
Clearly, this was very effective; before the words were even finished, two massive waves of explosions erupted from the heavy castle gates.
The dust was quickly swept away by the wind. The captain and the other team members laughed and each went into the room through the two blasted holes.
The castle was completely dark, so they had to use luminous pearls and other lighting tools. Faced with two barely discernible corridors, the captain decided to split up.
He walked over to Budney, then turned back to instruct Buster's team: "We'll go to the left, the three of you go to the right. Be careful, if you spot any dragons, don't attack immediately, signal us first."
Buster was relatively accommodating, nodding before taking his wife and walking away.
While his companions might not be as capable as Buster in terms of combat, they certainly have a unique way of stirring up trouble.
“Actually, it would be safer for you to leave him in the main city of Snow Country. The fact that you keep him with you is not only a hindrance to yourself, but he is also likely to get hurt in battle.”
The voice that spoke was almost identical to the one that had been used the first night when Reinhardt was thrown stones and he was surprised that Reinhardt could move.
The implication was that Reinhardt was a burden on the operation.
The blond little potato was indifferent, and his expression rarely changed. Even if he heard what was said, he remained the same.
He himself understood this, that he was of no benefit to Buster at the moment, and that placing him in the capital of the Snow Country was the right choice.
The reason the Storm Leader took him along was simply because it was inconvenient for him to move around on his own and he was easily exposed as having been taken away by the Harlin Empire.
This is perfectly normal logic, but unfortunately, the Storm Leader is not a normal human being.
"Don't use your weak-minded thinking to judge my standards." The leader, who was already in a bad mood, turned terribly dark.
He thought for a moment and decided he should be more tactful, so he continued, "Without him, you wouldn't even be alive to talk to me right now."
Trying to reason with a robber will work if he listens to you; otherwise, he'll just ignore you.
Buster was now treating the other person's words as loud and stinky farts. If Reinhardt hadn't been there, he would have pretended to be human and slapped him across the face, making him a fashion accessory on the wall.
Sigh, the son of the gods has become so kind-hearted from eating too much saliva.
Just as Buster was wondering if the blond potato would become venomous after consuming too much of his saliva, a slight vibration suddenly came from the floor tiles beneath his feet.
-----------------------
The author says: The Storm Leader's Diary of Nourishing the Spirit records that the Holy Essence can bring a sense of tranquility that cleanses the soul and a peaceful mindset that allows one to face anything in peace.
If you're still easily angered, irritable, and want to fight, then you're probably not full. Just have another drink!
The brooding Reinhardt silently uttered: ...?
Reinhardt: Something just doesn't feel right.
