Chapter 2 Second Stage
In the real world, everyone has their own daily necessities.
After the lunch, Chen Yun said goodbye to the bride and went home with the wedding candy.
She came by car, and on her way back she dropped Zhao Yanxin off at the high-speed railway station before turning around and getting on the highway.
It is more than 200 kilometers from Yanshan to Ningjiang, and Chen Yun held a small concert in the car.
When the car parked, her throat was a little hoarse. She opened the bottle of mineral water and drank half of it, and took the remaining half upstairs.
Four-year-old Chen Xinyang came home from school and was playing in the living room. He thought his mother had brought something good, so he pounced on her like a tiger: "Mom, mom, mom, mom!"
Chen Yun's ears were hurt by the noise, and she picked up her son and said, "It's so noisy."
Chen Xinyang was not hurt at all by being rejected and twisted around in his mother's arms.
It was so cute. Chen Yun kissed his face, kicked her shoes aside and walked into the study.
Chen Xingyue was doing her homework, listening attentively to everything around her. Her back straightened up all of a sudden, and she looked so well-behaved.
Chen Yun stood behind her daughter and pointed out the problem: "The stars should all be written in the frame."
Chen Xingyue uttered a short "oh", erased the first few numbers, and continued writing with a grunt.
Anyone who is familiar with this child knows that he must have gotten into trouble today.
Liu Yingxia came in with some fruit. She thought that the teacher didn't say anything to her when she picked up her granddaughter, so she gave her daughter a questioning look.
Chen Yun shook her head slightly, threw her son aside to play, and picked up an apple herself: "Where's my dad?"
Liu Yingxia: "I went to deliver food."
Chen Yun: "It's a race against time."
Liu Yingxia: "He was just sitting on the sofa playing with his phone, then he stood up and told me he had a particularly good order and left."
This kind of thing has become common in this family since Chen Xinyang went to kindergarten this year. Chen Yun has become accustomed to her parents' busy schedule.
She said, "Tell him to be careful on the road, don't run red lights and don't speed."
Liu Yingxia: "You don't know him yet."
I have been cautious all my life, for fear of becoming the perpetrator of an accident and affecting the innocence of the next generation.
Two years ago, Chen Yun wanted to take the civil service exam to keep her father's spirit, but unfortunately she couldn't find the enthusiasm to study hard to get into a 211 university, and soon returned with failure.
She smiled and said, "How about taking the test again this year?"
Liu Yingxia thought about it seriously for a while: "What about Xingxing going to elementary school?"
She and her husband can take care of the children, but their educational level is very limited. They don’t even understand the issues related to the transition from kindergarten to primary school, let alone the compulsory education stage.
Chen Yun: "Just learn it yourself. I did the same before."
Liu Yingxia has now completely caught up with Ning Jiang's lifestyle: "Can it be the same now as before?"
He added: "Our stars are falling behind."
Chen Yun still wants to give her daughter a little childhood, so she hasn't arranged too many courses for her so far.
But the apartment they live in is in the school district of the first-tier primary school in the district, and there are many people in the community who push their children to the extreme.
Liu Yingxia sometimes takes her grandson to play on the slide downstairs. After listening to the stories of other children, she always feels a little anxious when she comes back.
Chen Yun: "Where did you hear about someone's genius today?"
Liu Yingxia: "Kola from Building 3 knows more than 2,000 Chinese characters, and he is only half a year younger than Xingxing."
Chen Yun: "Our Xingxing can also read."
Liu Yingxia could recite the words "heaven, earth, man, sun, moon and stars" on the left, right and right.
She said, "You are the emperor and you are not anxious, but I am the eunuch."
Chen Yun put her hands on her mother's shoulders: "Xiao Xiazi, it's time to eat."
Liu Yingxia patted her daughter's hand without any respect, went into the kitchen and put on an apron: "I'll cook two more dishes, and you can ask your dad to come back for dinner."
Chen Yun responded and sent a message to her father.
Chen Yongzhong was probably in the elevator, as the few voice messages he sent back had echoes.
First: “Right away, right away.”
Second: "I have another order, I will go back after I deliver it."
Third: "You guys eat first, don't wait for me."
The tone becomes higher as you go further.
Chen Yun could imagine the expression from his tone, and bent down to touch her son's head.
Chen Xinyang was lying at his mother's feet playing with his toy car. All his attention was focused on him without even moving his eyelids.
When the child is willing to be quiet, let him have fun.
Chen Yun took this opportunity to see how her daughter was doing with her homework.
In the last semester of kindergarten, Chen Xingyue began to learn pinyin and simple addition and subtraction.
She has to do homework for half an hour every day when she gets home, and if no one is watching her, the time will be infinitely longer.
But as I said, a guilty conscience is the best motivation for a child.
Chen Yun entered the study just as she was finishing the last stroke. She glanced at her and said, "Great job, honey."
Chen Xingyue's smile barely had time to open but was brought back to reality by her mother's next words.
Chen Yun: "Now, let's talk about what you did in kindergarten today."
Chen Xingyue is very good at self-examination and criticism.
She rolled her eyes quietly: "I shouldn't bring toys to school."
Chen Yun tapped her gently: "What should I do if I know I'm wrong?"
Chen Xingyue quickly put her hands behind her back and said, "You can't fight."
Chen Yun could count the number of times he hit her on her fingers, and she thought to herself that she was not a violent person.
She spread out her palm: "I'll give you a sticker."
Chen Xingyue felt more upset than being beaten, and tried to negotiate with her mother: "How about a sticker?"
Chen Yun said firmly: "No."
Chen Xingyue felt so aggrieved that she wanted to cry but didn't dare to. She opened the first drawer on her left, which was filled with her collection of stickers of various patterns.
She couldn't pick out which one to give to her mother, so she made up her mind and picked one at random.
I don't know how sad I was, tears came to my eyes.
Chen Yun has now become "hardened" and said, "Mom will keep it for you now. If Teacher Xu gives you a red flower next week, I will return it to you."
Chen Xingyue pursed her lips and nodded vigorously, but in the end she couldn't help herself and stretched out her hands for a hug.
Chen Yun patted her daughter on the back and coaxed her: "Mom thinks you can do it well next week, right?"
Chen Xingyue hummed in a crying voice, but she still looked listless.
The next second, Chen Yongzhong, who had just arrived home, poked his head out and said, "Hey, why are you crying again?"
Chen Xingyue even knew how to write the word "embarrassment". She hid in her mother's arms and refused to let anyone see her.
Chen Yongzhong touched his granddaughter's pigtails and said, "Guess what grandpa brought back for you?"
Chen Xingyue showed half of her face and sobbed, "I don't know."
Chen Yongzhong said in an exaggerated manner: "Grandpa bought some delicious fried chicken."
Children, there is nothing they can’t coax out of food.
Chen Xingyue wiped her tears and followed her grandfather. The next second, she was sitting at the dining table eating a chicken leg.
Chen Yun looked at the box of fried chicken and asked, "A good chicken? Where is it?"
Chen Yongzhong: "It's at the south gate of our community. I've been observing it for several days and it's quite clean."
When delivering food, he usually only takes orders from nearby areas, as he is afraid that his family will need him and he won't be able to get back in time. Recently, he has gotten to know all the delicious food and drinks within a three-mile radius.
Chen Yun usually goes through the east gate, so she didn't notice it.
She said, "So you bought all the money you earned today with fried chicken?"
Chen Yongzhong pointed to the spicy box his daughter ate and said, "It's still not enough. Guess how much this is?"
Ningjiang's prices are so high that they are almost driven out of the RMB circle. Chen Yun boldly guessed: "128."
Chen Yongzhong was shocked by her: "Then can I buy it?"
That’s right. Chen Yun bit a chicken wing while serving the dishes, and said vaguely: “I can’t guess.”
Chen Yongzhong: "I still need 88 to place an order with a coupon."
If it weren't for his three children at home who love to eat it, he would think eight dollars and eighty cents is too expensive.
Chen Yun was always generous to her parents, but was surprised: "Did you buy the coupon yourself?"
Chen Yongzhong was so proud: "I just stood there and tinkered with it until I figured it out."
Seeing how happy he was, Liu Yingxia said, "I've noticed that ever since you started delivering food, you've been spending more than you earn every day."
Whenever I pass by a restaurant, I have to bring some delicious food back.
Chen Yongzhong: "Just tell me if it tastes good or not."
He added: "You just pick up the bones that Yangyang didn't eat cleanly, what can you get from eating them?"
Liu Yingxia: "There is still meat on the bones, why can't we eat it?"
The old couple started arguing, but Chen Yun pretended not to hear.
She poured a spoonful of gravy into her son's bowl and said, "Yangyang, you have to eat too."
Chen Xinyang's mouth was full of oil from eating the food, and he took the time to smile, revealing a row of neat little teeth.
When Chen Yun looked at his teeth, she thought of her daughter's.
She said, "Xingxing, use the loose tooth to eat more and try to make it fall out by itself."
Chen Xingyue widened her eyes in horror: "It will hurt."
She even spoke carefully, for fear of touching the crumbling tooth.
Chen Yun said in a gentle voice: "If it still doesn't fall out, Mom will have to take you to the clinic to have it removed, which will definitely be more painful."
She herself didn't want to go. After all, she was exhausted just by coaxing her children to lie down and receive treatment. The shadow of dentistry gradually rose in her life after she became a mother.
After weighing the pros and cons, Chen Xingyue still felt that going to the clinic was more terrifying.
She mustered up great courage, opened her mouth and took a breath of air.
Chen Yun thought she was going to bite it, and didn't know whether to laugh or cry: "Are you teasing the chicken wings?"
Chen Xingyue said confidently: "I'm rehearsing."
Okay, let her muster up some courage.
Chen Yun thought that this might be a big decision for the child, so she picked up some food for herself with her chopsticks.
Before I could finish my meal, my cell phone rang.
She glanced at the screen and said, "Mom, can you guys take care of the kids to sleep tonight? Perrin asked me out for a chat."
She said this in her hometown dialect, which the children couldn't understand.
Liu Yingxia also answered in dialect: "Go ahead, go ahead. You have been friends for so many years. She must want to talk more at a time like this."
He added: "Call your dad when you come back and he will pick you up."
Chen Yun: "It's okay, we'll come back together after Song Fenglin finishes his overtime work."
Liu Yingxia: "Okay, then drink less."
Chen Yun nodded, noticing someone staring at her.
She looked over and switched to Mandarin: "What's wrong?"
Chen Xingyue had eaten more meals than her brother for a few years, which gave her some wisdom. Even though she didn't understand, she said firmly, "Mom is going to play."
Chen Yun pinched her daughter's face: "You know all this."
Chen Xingyue raised her chin proudly: "I'm so smart."
Yes, yes, she is the smartest.
Chen Yun gave a thumbs up without hesitation: "Our baby is awesome."
Chen Xingyue was so happy that she swung her braids and forgot to pester her mother to take her out to play.
