Chapter 29 Twenty-nine Promise
The next day was the long-awaited Children's Day. Chen Xingyue and her brother woke up earlier than the chickens, and it was obvious that they wanted to go out and play.
Chen Yun was still half asleep when she suddenly saw a baby standing beside the bed. She sat up abruptly, and felt completely stunned.
Chen Xinyang was also startled by his mother. He took a step back and leaned against the wall, saying honestly, "Mom, it's dawn."
Chen Yun almost went to heaven, she just stared with her eyes wide open and didn't react.
Song Fenglin, who had just woken up, patted the bed and said, "Yangyang, jump up."
Chen Yun had already forgotten the two nice words he said last night and picked on him, "You're calling me a puppy."
Song Fenglin thought about it again and it was quite similar. He smiled guiltily, leaned out half of his body and lifted his son to the bed: "When did you come in?"
Chen Xinyang raised his finger and gestured to his mouth: "Shh, my sister won't let me in."
It looked like the brother and sister had been up and playing for a long time. Chen Yun lifted the quilt: "You really don't know how to write tired. You slept so late yesterday..."
She walked out mumblingly and took a look at the children's room. It was empty and the quilt was neatly folded.
It's quite particular. Chen Yun usually doesn't make their beds because she is too lazy herself.
She asked aloud, "Where are you, Xingxing?"
Chen Xingyue rushed over from the kitchen holding a biscuit: "Mom, I'm so hungry."
Trying to cover up her "crime" of eating snacks early in the morning by looking pitiful.
Chen Yun tapped her: "Have you brushed your teeth and washed your face?"
Chen Xingyue: "I swiped it, but my brother didn't."
Chen Yun: "Then go tell him to brush quickly."
Chen Xingyue saluted and ran into the master bedroom, then she jumped onto the bed and stepped on her father.
Song Fenglin cried out in surprise, holding his feet and howling, and said helplessly: "Xingxing, can we slow down?"
Chen Xingyue knelt on the quilt and bowed: "I'm sorry, Dad."
It's unlucky so early in the morning.
Song Fenglin tickled his daughter: "Just be careful next time."
Chen Xingyue giggled, but still remembered the main thing: "Brother, go brush your teeth!"
Chen Xinyang rolled over and said, "I don't want it."
He twisted and turned, and was finally transferred to the public health center by his father.
Song Fenglin supervised his son to wash and dressed, and carried the clean kid to the living room.
Chen Xinyang broke free from his father's restraints and went to his sister to play with toys.
The brother and sister chattered away, but their voices were not very loud.
Song Fenglin touched his earlobe, looked left and right, and turned back to the master bedroom.
Chen Yun was putting on makeup. When she heard footsteps, she turned around and said, "Let's go out for breakfast today."
Song Fenglin hummed, opened the cabinet, and slowly squatted down.
He took out a pair of pants that he thought looked the best, but he couldn't put them on for a long time, so he had to throw them back in disappointment.
Chen Yun was fine, but she noticed that his upper body was still stuck in the closet, so she asked curiously, "What's wrong?"
Song Fenglin seemed to be mumbling to himself: "Why don't I have any clothes to wear?"
Chen Yun: "Didn't I just buy you a new one?"
Song Fenglin moved to the side, revealing the full view of the wardrobe: "Which one?"
Chen Yun hesitated for two seconds: "I can't recognize it."
Then he said confidently: "You said you liked black."
Song Fenglin had a habit of picking up old clothes from his relatives' homes when he was a child, and he didn't want others to notice his clothes.
He liked to wear black before he got married, and he is still the same now.
When Chen Yun bought clothes for him, it was all so that he could cosplay as a crow. When they were hung together, there was no difference at all.
Song Fenglin is usually quite satisfied and feels a sense of accomplishment every time he opens the cabinet.
But now he suddenly wanted to change his taste: "I remember there was a blue T-shirt?"
Chen Yun: "I don't think you can wear it, so I cut it open last time to make sandbags for the kids."
Then he said, “Let’s go shopping in the mall later and pick out two pieces for yourself.
Ah, Song Fenglin remembered that he had seen sandbags.
He pulled a piece of clothing off the rack and said, "Then I'll wear this today."
Chen Yun saw that it was no different from yesterday, and clenched his fists: "Let's go."
The two children were already impatient and were ready to go at the entrance.
As soon as Song Fenglin opened the door, they rushed to the corridor to press the elevator button.
Chen Yun felt around in her bag to see if she had everything she needed, then leaned back with her elbow to close the door.
As soon as the door closed, she asked, "Did you get the car keys?"
Song Fenglin waved his hand and said, "Here."
Chen Yun: "That's it."
A family of four went out and had breakfast at a restaurant which has been very popular recently on Xintong Road.
There is a half-open folding window in the store, facing the road planted with sycamore trees.
From time to time, cyclists passed by, and the sunlight shining through the branches and leaves cast dots on their faces.
In such a scene, Chen Yun inserted a piece of sausage and sighed: "It's great."
Song Fenglin followed her gaze and looked outside, but it was actually difficult for him to appreciate this kind of comfort.
Or maybe he himself lacks romantic cells and can only see ordinary branches and leaves.
He said, "Would you like to order another serving of sausage?"
Chen Yun: "No more eating, let's go play."
Children are the protagonists of Children's Day. The brother and sister also knew that this was a big day for them, so they raised requests that they usually did not dare to raise.
Chen Yun tried her best to satisfy everyone, but she didn't dare to worry about the payment and only kept track of the bill before going to bed at night.
Song Fenglin came out of the shower and saw her writing in a small notebook at the dressing table. He leaned closer and asked, "Did you spend a lot last month?"
He has always been concerned about making money, but he has recently been under financial pressure, so he can't help but care a little more.
It was the day for the monthly summary. Chen Yun said, "Finish up the accounts for May. I'm going to take a shower."
She remembered every detail every day, and Song Fenglin only needed to add and subtract.
In his opinion, every penny was spent with a reason, and there were no major expenses at home, but the accumulation of every penny amounted to nearly 40,000 yuan.
Why are there so many? Song Fenglin suspected that his mental arithmetic ability had deteriorated, so he turned to the front and tried again.
Chen Yun came out of the bathroom, wiping her hair, and saw him still counting on his fingers.
She joked, "Do you want to borrow Xingxing's stick?"
Song Fenglin said seriously: "I found something."
Chen Yun sat on the edge of the bed: "I'm all ears."
Song Fenglin: "It turns out that 'a pile of sand can really become a tower'."
Chen Yun looked like she wanted to hear your opinion, and raised her eyebrows: "That's it?"
Song Fenglin: "I really don't think our family lives a luxurious life, how come we have so much money when we calculate the bills?"
Chen Yun thought that although he came from a poor family, he now had a completely new definition of the word luxury.
She said: "According to our country's per capita standard, our living standard has surpassed 99% of the people."
Song Fenglin did come from a poor family, but he was not so ignorant of the sufferings of the world.
But he graduated from Peking University, and in the past decade or so, he has countless classmates who have achieved financial freedom by taking advantage of this wave of Internet development.
The circle is here, and he has another explanation for the well-off and middle class, saying: "But there are no luxury goods."
Chen Yun: "Look around."
Song Fenglin was a little confused, but his gaze still paused sincerely for a few seconds to the left and right.
Chen Yun knew it would be difficult for him to understand, so she simply said, "In Ningjiang, owning a house is the greatest luxury."
The house is not moveable, the whole family has to live in it.
Song Fenglin: "Wait for Mr. He's money to arrive, and I'll buy you a bag."
When he mentioned buying, Chen Yun remembered: "I forgot to buy you clothes."
Song Fenglin: "I'll buy it after I lose weight."
Chen Yun also has a few pieces of clothing that she claims she will wear when she loses weight, but they have been put aside.
After thinking about it, she decided not to discourage the man and pushed him: "Go over and weigh yourself."
Song Fenglin finally understood what it meant to be shy and suddenly felt a little embarrassed: "We'll weigh it tomorrow."
Chen Yun became excited: "Let's go."
She was acting like a spoiled child, and Song Fenglin couldn't resist. He half closed his eyes and dared not look at the numbers.
Chen Yun pinched the flesh on his arm: "It's five pounds less than the physical examination in April."
She didn't notice it even though they were together every day. She couldn't believe it: "Why?"
Song Fenglin felt uncomfortable yesterday when he saw that Hu Yuchen still looked like the male lead in a Korean drama, so he searched for the first step to lose weight.
He can now say two coherent sentences: "Maybe it's because I didn't stay up late in the past two weeks and I had regular meals."
It’s only been two weeks! Chen Yun was very dissatisfied: "You are still full!"
Song Fenglin accompanied the children in running around in the amusement park today: "It's quite a bit of exercise."
His back was covered in sweat and he could hardly breathe.
Chen Yun was even more angry: "I ran for a month and only lost one pound!"
Song Fenglin gestured at her waist: "You have a small base."
Chen Yun didn't want to hear it, and smiled: "God is so unfair. Men can lose weight by eating less."
Song Fenglin poked her cheek: "How about biting me?"
Chen Yun twisted her face and said, "Then you will become even thinner. I don't want that."
Then he ordered, "Blow my hair for me."
Song Fenglin responded and went to get the hair dryer.
Because of the height, he could see his wife complaining to her friends on WeChat about "why men lose weight so quickly."
Chen Yun had no intention of hiding it from him, and she even wanted to put the screen right in front of him.
As the conversation went on, a few girls started talking about abdominal muscles.
Zhang Songjing also posted shirtless photos of other boys in the group, one after another like a slide show.
Chen Yun had no time to hide, so she simply threw the problem to others.
She held up her phone: "Can you practice like this?"
Song Fenglin turned off the hair dryer: "Yes."
So sure? Chen Yun emphasized: "It's very difficult."
Song Fenglin: “Goals can be achieved through planning.”
For most things in the world, hard work is the biggest solution.
He said it lightly, yet with extraordinary power.
Chen Yun knew that this sentence probably described his life, and for a moment he couldn't take his eyes away.
Seeing her eyes shining, Song Fenglin thought she was excited about her abdominal muscles in advance.
He looked down at his belly, thinking that everyone does have the right to pursue something more pleasing to the eye, and gently ruffled her hair: "I've practiced it, and you're not allowed to look at others anymore."
Chen Yun raised her finger and swore to the heavens: "These were all sent by Zhang Songjing. I took a look reluctantly."
Song Fenglin liked her look at this moment, as if her eyes only had room for him.
He pretended to be generous and joking: "It's okay, see, it's because we don't have any at home."
Chen Yun was not sure what he was thinking. She pretended to click on the photo and said, "So I took it seriously?"
Song Fenglin grabbed her hand and said, "Wait for me for a few more months."
Chen Yun was afraid that he would get hurt if he worked out too hastily: "Health is the most important thing. You should do it within your ability."
Song Fenglin nodded: "Okay."
It sounded like a casual promise, but Chen Yun knew that he would definitely do it.
