Chapter 4 Good morning

Chapter 4 Good morning

A minute later, the elevator stopped on the 22nd floor.

Chen Yun was the first to step out of the sedan and opened the door of her home.

Song Fenglin followed in, put his bag on the shoe-changing bench in the entrance hall, and tiptoed to the living room.

Seeing this, Chen Yun asked: "Why are you acting like a thief at home?"

Song Fenglin pointed to the children's room and said, "Isn't mom here?"

My mother-in-law is a light sleeper and is a worrywart. When she hears any noise, she will definitely get up and ask if I want to have a midnight snack.

As soon as he finished speaking, Liu Yingxia poked her head out of the children's room and asked this question.

The prediction was so accurate that Chen Yun couldn't help laughing.

She was also afraid of waking the child, so she covered her mouth and her shoulders shook.

Liu Yingxia felt puzzled. Seeing her son-in-law shaking his head slightly, she went into the room anyway, leaving some time for the young couple to be alone.

Although we are said to be alone, we just go to bed.

Chen Yun was so sleepy that she closed her eyes as soon as she touched the pillow, and her hands and feet curled up unconsciously.

Psychologically speaking, this sleeping position is a manifestation of extreme lack of security.

But no matter how you look at it, Song Fenglin doesn't look like the person next to him. Instead, he is the one who is worried about gains and losses, afraid that everything he has now is just a dream.

Perhaps the more this happens, the more I want to hold on to something.

He is especially clingy when he sleeps and insists on holding hands.

When Chen Yun first got married, she thought he was just a novelty for a while, but she didn't expect that ten years later it would become a common habit for the two of them.

She felt the extra warmth in her palms, her eyelids grew heavier, and she lost consciousness the next second.

When I opened my eyes again, it was already daybreak.

Chen Yun lay in bed for a while before getting up.

She slowly pulled her hands and feet free, washed up and left the room.

The clanging noises outside the room were amplified, turning into a not-so-pleasant sonata.

Chen Yun opened the kitchen door: "Mom, are you planning to make a full banquet so early in the morning?"

Liu Yingxia was watching the video tutorial carefully when her daughter suddenly appeared and startled her: "Why are you walking without making any sound?"

Chen Yun stamped her feet lightly: "Is this okay?"

Liu Yingxia: "Go ahead and make trouble."

He showed off the dough he had just kneaded: "Look, it has risen beautifully."

From the looks of it, you can tell she probably didn't sleep for several hours.

Chen Yun: "Beautiful, then I'll sit and wait for breakfast."

Liu Yingxia: "Wait, mom will make you some pancakes."

The first one, freshly baked, fell into Chen Yun’s mouth.

She was so burned that she switched her left and right hands, hopping into the children's room and shouting, "Wake up, kids!"

The children were still sleeping like twisted dough sticks, and the dolls they had been holding in their arms last night were tossing all over the place.

Chen Yun stopped urging them and gave them some time to wake up.

She turned and walked into the master bedroom, meeting the eyes of Song Fenglin who had just woken up.

Song Fenglin sat up suddenly.

He has been growing more and more horizontally in the past two years, and the mattress protests at the slightest movement.

Chen Yun thought it would be nice if the children could be like their father, and leaned her head against the door frame: "Get to work, Xiaojiro."

Song Fenglin is usually very busy at work, so when he gets home the children are already asleep.

He was as responsible a father as possible, so he got up early every day to take them to school.

Of course, fighting sleep requires a little bit of ruthlessness.

He immediately threw back the quilt and went into the bathroom, turned on the faucet and splashed water on his face. A few clumps of hair were wet and stuck to his skin, but the parting of his hair was still relatively hidden.

Song Fenglin scratched his hair twice, thinking that it was a good thing he wasn't bald yet.

Ever since he could no longer maintain those faintly visible abdominal muscles, his hairline has become his biggest struggle against middle age. For hair maintenance, he even abandoned his childhood habit of using soap and spent a huge amount of money to buy a bottle of anti-hair loss shampoo priced at 199.

The effect is currently unclear, after all, it is not very detachable.

After cleaning himself up, he went to the children's room to carry out his "mission". He first pinched his daughter's nose and said, "Xingxing, you're going to be late."

Then he touched his son's hand and said, "Yangyang, you're going to be late."

Chen Xingyue showed her father the back of her head with her face buried in the pillow.

Chen Xinyang's eyelids didn't move at all, as if he had automatically isolated himself from the outside world.

Song Fenglin was not surprised at all and directly picked up his daughter from the bed.

Chen Xingyue rested her chin on her father's shoulder and stood in front of the sink the next second.

Song Fenglin squeezed toothpaste for her and said, "Brush it thoroughly, front and back, left and right."

Chen Xingyue was biting her toothbrush in a daze, but she still received the command and moved like a puppet.

Song Fenglin just thought it was funny, so he did the same thing and brought his son over as well.

The public bathroom has double basins, which are more than enough for two children to stand side by side.

Song Fenglin stood behind like a supervisor, saying, "Yangyang, you have to spit out the foam."

Chen Xinyang stood on a stool and bent over. He inherited the same elegant technique as his biological father when washing.

Song Fenglin couldn't help it, and held the back of his head to start working again: "Open your mouth wide."

Chen Xinyang struggled to resist, but his face was still rubbed red.

Chen Xingyue was gloating over her brother's misfortune and her smile was particularly exaggerated.

Song Fenglin was afraid that she would sprain her waist if she leaned forward and backward, so he used his free hand to pinch his daughter's face: "Whichever clamp you need today? Go get it yourself."

Chen Xingyue ran into the room and picked and chose among her precious dressing box.

She picked up a row of pink hairpins and ran to her father like the wind: "I want to braid a lot of small braids."

It’s not possible on school days, as it’s difficult for the teachers to handle it during nap time.

Song Fenglin said in a gentle voice: "Can we tie it up again on the weekend?"

Chen Xingyue immediately pouted: "No."

While the father and daughter were bargaining, Chen Yun had already brought breakfast to the table.

She peeled the eggshell and asked, "Are you done?"

Chen Xinyang was originally holding on to his father's thighs, and rushed out when he heard the noise.

Chen Yun hugged her son and kissed his face: "Can't you just walk properly?"

Chen Xinyang laughed at this sentence: "Grandma said I was crazy."

He was quite proud of himself, and Chen Yun didn't know what to say to him.

She said, "Eat the eggs yourself."

Chen Xinyang stood next to his mother, twisting his body while talking, and the egg yolk in his hand fell.

Chen Yun's tone was flat: "Where are we going to eat?"

Chen Xinyang patted the chair with his sticky hands, leaving unbearable marks.

Fortunately, Chen Yun doesn’t have mysophobia.

Her expression was a little serious: "If you know, sit down."

Chen Xinyang not only sat properly, but also stretched his neck to drink some milk to show that he was well-behaved.

Chen Yun was easily amused and urged, "Xingxing, hurry up."

Chen Xingyue came over with the fishbone braid her father had just made for her: "Mom, mom, mom, mom, look, I'm so beautiful."

Chen Yun almost couldn't breathe after hearing this, and stuffed the egg into her hand: "Pretty little princess, can you eat faster today?"

Chen Xingyue opened her mouth wide, but ate very slowly.

Anyway, there was still time, so Chen Yun didn't care and just said, "Eat yours."

These words were directed at Song Fenglin.

He folded the pie in half twice and took a bite, the gravy dripping onto the table.

Liu Yingxia quickly took out a piece of paper and wiped it, saying, "Eat slowly, there's still a lot."

Song Fenglin's mouth was too full and he couldn't speak for a while.

He chewed with his head tilted back, and after a while he said, "The cake is really delicious."

Children's affirmation is the best motivation. Liu Yingxia: "If you want to eat it, I'll make it tomorrow."

Song Fenglin: “It’s too much trouble.”

Liu Yingxia didn't think so at all: "You eat in the cafeteria every day, and it's just one home-cooked meal a day, what's the big deal."

Song Fenglin: "The food in our cafeteria is pretty good."

The key is not to spend money.

It seemed that the food at home was not good. Chen Yun thought that everyone knew his personality now, and said, "Mom, I will cook for him, so he won't starve. But if you don't go out, the morning exercise will end soon."

Although three generations live in the same community, they usually eat this meal separately every morning because the old couple has the habit of going for morning exercises at six o'clock.

If Liu Yingxia hadn't put her grandchildren to bed last night, she would also be a member of the team now.

The world is big, and exercising is the most important thing for her. She didn't have time to say a few more words and hurried out with the cake.

Song Fenglin blinked and found that his mother-in-law's back had disappeared.

He sat upright at the dining table and looked at the person opposite him: "No need to cook specially for me."

Chen Yun actually wanted to be nicer to him, so she deliberately said, "Because the food in the cafeteria tastes better than mine?"

How is that possible? Song Fenglin wanted to say something nice, but considering the children were all talking, he held it back.

He is not the kind of person who can postpone things, so he immediately sent a message: [The food you cook is the most delicious. 】

The phone screen lit up, and Chen Yun looked at it and smiled.

She said, "Just kidding, idiot."

Um? Isn't this a word that cannot be said?

Chen Xingyue was quick to respond: "Mom, you are saying dirty words."

Chen Yun did not argue with her daughter and readily admitted: "I was wrong. I will pay more attention next time."

If she knows her mistakes and corrects them, then she is still a good mother.

Chen Xingyue nodded approvingly and announced loudly: "I can't eat anymore."

Chen Xinyang followed suit, put the cake down and said, "I want to poop."

He wanted to go, and his sister also wanted to go, and the two of them argued over who would use the public health system.

This kind of chaos happens almost every day.

Song Fenglin presided over their game of rock-paper-scissors, and after the decision was made, he took out the school uniforms and placed them on the sofa.

Chen Yun was cleaning the table: "I forgot to ask you yesterday, how is the new bed?"

She was talking about the kind of folding bed that is easy to store and is specifically used in the office.

Song Fenglin: "I was in a meeting yesterday and didn't take a nap."

He received the express and before he had time to open it, the package was still in its original place in the office.

Why does it feel like he's been holding more and more meetings recently? Chen Yun: "Are you going to start a new project?"

Song Fenglin: "No, the company is discussing financing recently."

He is a technician, but actually he doesn't understand these business matters very well and it's vague when he talks about them.

Chen Yun said: "Then your share will be diluted again."

Yes, Song Fenglin: "Then I will listen carefully today to see how much the dividend will be reduced."

It doesn't take up much space to begin with, so it's better to let him relax and take a break during the meeting.

Chen Yun: "No need. As long as there is capital, there will be great development. I will earn it back sooner or later."

That made sense, so Song Fenglin asked, "Do you have enough money at home?"

He only keeps a small portion of his monthly salary for himself and transfers the rest to his wife.

Chen Yun holds the financial power of the family, and is confident: "That's enough."

He glanced at his watch again and said, "Take them out quickly. Are they laying eggs in the bathroom?"

Song Fenglin took the order and left. After another ten minutes of struggling, he finally went out holding a baby in each hand.
