Attack on Alley 54

Two snow-white longswords appeared on either side of the dark figure. He muttered incantations, and a gust of wind swept by, instantly turning the snow-white longswords as black as ink. Tiny black droplets dripped from the tips of the blades, splashing onto the stone slab and creating disgusting black bubbles. The man began to run towards Yun Zhe and his two companions, his pace quickening, his twin swords held horizontally, poised to pierce through their chests.

In the blink of an eye, Yun Zhe's consciousness blurred, but his body seemed to sense the danger and abruptly pushed the two towards the dark figure. The dark figure was startled, clearly not expecting this move. He instinctively dodged the two, raised his twin swords, spun around, and unleashed two black sword shadows in quick succession towards Yun Zhe.

Yun Zhe's eyes were still blurry, but his body reacted like lightning. He dodged the slash by sidestepping and then used his hand as a knife to stab the man in the chest.

Realizing the danger, the shadowy figure dodged and twisted, his body suddenly straining in a strange posture as he thrust his twin blades straight at Yun Zhe's head once more.

While wondering why Yun Zhe pushed them away, Gao and the other man in the distance turned around and saw a dark figure wielding two swords, aiming for Yun Zhe's head. Yun Zhe suddenly crouched down, turned around, and rolled a few steps away, barely dodging the blade.

At that moment, a voice exploded in Yun Zhe's mind, "Wake up!!!" Yun Zhe jolted awake and finally saw the scene before him.

Gao snapped back to reality and screamed, "Murder! Help!!"

Caroline had already drawn his dagger and pounced. Although he was tall and handsome, before becoming a vagrant, he was a skilled butcher who could butcher pigs and sell meat, and his greatest hobby was practicing martial arts in his spare time.

The shadowy figure let out a chilling chuckle, temporarily sparing Yun Zhe, and swung its long sword straight at Caroline.

Unexpectedly, when Yun Zhe saw that Caroline was in danger, he immediately grabbed the dark figure and threw him to the ground.

Enraged, the shadowy figure kicked Yun Zhe away and swung his twin swords at Yun Zhe's chest once more.

With a clang, the twin blades seemed to have struck something, failing to pierce Yun Zhe's body as the shadowy figure had predicted. The shadowy figure let out a soft "Huh?" Then, as if realizing something, it let out an excited and greedy sneer. Just as it was about to raise its blades to strike Yun Zhe's head again, Yun Zhe fell to the ground, but had already raised his hand and fired a crossbow bolt.

The distance was very close; the crossbow bolt pierced through the chest, but it seemed to have only broken through two layers of cloth before it became embedded in the opposite wall.

The shadowy figure paused for a moment, then struck again.

With a whooshing sound, an arrow shot towards the dark figure's cheek. The figure, however, didn't let the arrow reach him; instead, he swung his twin swords, deflecting it. This gave Yun Zhe time to escape. By the time the dark figure had dealt with the arrow, Yun Zhe was already standing in front of Gao and Caroline.

Yun Zhe and the shadowy figure looked up at the same time and saw a beautiful figure holding a longbow standing on the roof of a house. It was Ellie.
