Chapter 5 My Mother Was a Noble Elf?

Like a miser, Yun Zhe stuffed all the gold and silver treasures from upstairs and downstairs into his Qiankun bag. He then opened the wardrobe and emptied it of all its clothes. He had considered putting the gold furniture and the gold panels on the walls into the Qiankun bag as well, but after thinking about it, Yun Zhe abandoned this seemingly too abstract idea.

Although he has the body of a vampire, his soul is that of a normal person. Therefore, he is very averse to the dark and oppressive underground tomb and desperately wants to go outside and take a look.

Looking at the empty room, now only furnished with furniture, Yun Zhe patted his Qiankun bag with a sense of relief, his mood inexplicably improving. He wrapped some odds and ends and his diary in a blanket, making a makeshift backpack. Everything was ready, except for the sunset. Yun Zhe looked around the room and, finding no timekeeping devices, sat back down on the recliner to pass the time and try to understand this world more deeply.

Yun Zhe then realized that he was lucky. He solved his problem by simply flipping through the diary, instead of having to read the diary a second time, word by word, page by page, to evaluate which blood was more delicious and which women were more seductive.

This diary is clearly from a very early period, obviously written when the author had just become a vampire and was thoroughly enjoying the pleasures that vampire identity brought him.

Between the lines, there is a palpable sense of bloodshed and superiority.

Yun Zhe couldn't bear to read any longer, so he closed the diary he hadn't finished reading and opened another one.

The other one was even worse. It was about the love and hate between him and his family, but the whole book was filled with angry questioning and painful venting. It was just a diary for venting emotions, which made Yun Zhe completely lose the will to read it. Yun Zhe put the diary down and got up to stretch his legs.

Yun Zhe paced back and forth in the room, imagining his life after he left.

"First, I need to find a nice big house. All the vampires in novels have nice houses, and I happen to have money, so this problem shouldn't be difficult to solve."

"Secondly, there's the issue of how to walk in the sunlight. Always being active at night is too conspicuous. It's a pity I didn't see any related information in the diary. I'll have to go out and inquire about it slowly."

Yun Zhe stopped and tried to think about things related to this world, only to find that apart from what he had read in his diary, he had nothing else.

"It's strange. I can read and even write what I can understand, and I can even understand what they're saying, but why do I know nothing about this world?"

Yun Zhe paced back and forth, muttering to himself.

"What do people eat and wear in this era? If I want to live a normal life like in novels, I definitely need to learn a lot more."

"If I'm planning to go out, I should change these clothes first," Yun Zhe noticed his black robe. If he went out like this, wouldn't that tell everyone he was a vampire? Then Yun Zhe took out his Qiankun bag and shook out all the clothes, only to find that they were all similar.

Yun Zhe cursed under his breath and had no choice but to continue flipping through the diaries, hoping to find some clues. However, the diaries contained no descriptions of daily life; the bars, streets, cities, and descriptions of certain things were of no real help to Yun Zhe. And the descriptions of major events, such as war, plague, and floods, were given no precise chronological order, making them essentially just news reading.

Yun Zhe slumped back into the recliner. He desperately needed a guide to daily life in another world, and it had to be the basic version. Otherwise, he might have no choice but to hide in another similar graveyard.

At that moment, Yun Zhe's gaze fell upon the two corpses at the door.

These two outfits are nice; they look like what ordinary people would wear. And these two tomb raiders should be able to provide a lot of clues. Yun Zhe suddenly perked up and rushed towards the two corpses.

But Yun Zhe felt nauseous when he saw their withered faces. He suppressed his displeasure and carefully searched Qiong Jin's body. He found a dagger, a bag of copper coins, several sharpened wooden stakes, a pipe, and a packet of unknown powder.

The other person appeared to be wealthier, but all he had on him was a bag of mixed gold, silver, and copper coins, a short sword, and a packet of the same unknown powder.

Yun Zhe touched the powder with his hand, and with a hissing sound, his finger was burned.

Yun Zhe quickly withdrew his finger, blew on it, and then discovered that his previously burned finger had healed.

Speed, strength, and an extremely strong self-healing ability.

Yun Zhe touched the blades of the short sword and dagger with his hand, and unsurprisingly, they produced the same result as touching powder.

Yun Zhe straightened up and looked down at the two mummified corpses, thinking to himself, "The most troublesome thing is about to happen. Let's take off their clothes. Which of these two sets of clothes should I choose?"

However, Yun Zhe hesitated for a long time and did not make a move. Stripping clothes off a corpse? It was probably not only his first time in his life, but also his first time in his ghost life. Just thinking about it gave him a headache.

After much hesitation, Yun Zhe closed his eyes and took off both of their coats.

Yun Zhe cleverly mixed and matched their clothes, wearing them together. Without a mirror, he had no idea what he looked like. He went up the stairs again and found it was completely dark outside. So, without wasting any more time, he quickly packed his things, put away his money pouch, put the wooden stake and powder into the blanket he had prepared, strapped a short sword and dagger to his waist and legs, checked everything again to make sure nothing was missing, and then left the underground tomb.
