The elven princess, having just returned to Donic, did not linger. After a brief exchange with her brother, she rode her white tiger westward. Her brother, Tandras, began to deploy his troops, slowly spreading them out around Donic, intending to decide whether to attack or defend based on news from the front.

Meanwhile, Gerald ran at full speed and caught up with Serena's main force, which was resting, late at night. Perhaps because they carried too much baggage, Serena's troops were moving slowly, which saved Gerald a lot of time.

Ellie was lying in the carriage, holding Usa, chatting softly. In the driver's seat lay the captured elf, who was peeking inside, trying to free herself from the ropes binding her hands.

A gust of cold wind swept by, startling her. Then she saw a dark figure flash and disappear into the woods. Just as she was about to scream, Ellie from the carriage covered her mouth.

The female elf looked at Ellie in horror, then at the spot where she had spotted the shadowy figure.

Ellie raised a finger to signal her to be quiet, then nimbly jumped off the carriage.

A rustling sound came from the woods, and a tall figure clad in armor and wielding a headhunter's axe emerged from the trees.

The female elf stared in horror at the axe in the man's hand. She knew it was an orc's headhunting axe, but it was strange—why was there an orc here?!

Ellie clearly had the same question until the man took off his helmet.

"Ellie, I need to see Serena, right now."

Ellie's heart clenched suddenly because she didn't see the other figure she had been hoping for.
