Fifty-three. It's not too much for me, an architecture student, to design a city, is it?

Thinking of this, Yun Zhe couldn't help but sigh, "The Lord of Jialai City is quite a talent."

But mercenaries can't compare to a truly well-trained regular army. Yun Zhe glanced at the soldiers on the side of the carriage and suddenly grinned. These soldiers didn't seem to be much of a well-trained regular army either.

Thinking of this, he turned to look at the two people in the carriage: Gao and a young man among the refugees named Caroline. They were now two captains in Yun Zhe's army, each in charge of a hundred-man squad.

"I've thought about what we said yesterday, and I realized I hadn't considered everything thoroughly. So I've revised two training plans, one more difficult and one easier. You can choose either one."

Gao rubbed his head awkwardly. Yun Zhe's words were actually meant for him.

Before the troops set off, Yun Zhe approached Gao and told him about becoming a captain under Yun Zhe's command. Initially, Gao was overjoyed; it was a dream come true. He excitedly told his brothers, who were also happy to hear it. However, Yun Zhe then brought up the topic of training. The training sounded incredibly arduous, causing even a strong, middle-aged man like Gao to hesitate. The surrounding soldiers reacted even more directly, instantly erupting into a clamor. They longed to fight alongside Yun Zhe in the recent, more like a leisurely outing, but they didn't want the blood and sweat of this training. Many immediately declared that the training was too difficult and they couldn't handle it. Some even threatened Yun Zhe, saying that such training would force them to leave his unit.

Gao looked very embarrassed at the time. He didn't know whether to speak up for Yun Zhe or for the soldiers.

What made Gao even more embarrassed was that when the same training plan was told to the refugees led by Caroline, they did not object at all and firmly stated that they would do their best to complete the training.

This made Gao very uncomfortable, and he returned and severely reprimanded those country bumpkin soldiers. The effect was obvious: half of them left, and those who stayed were probably only there because of Gao and his father.

Upon hearing this news, Yun Zhe replied, "If you can't train, then leave. I won't stop you, and you don't need to stop me either. But I won't lower the training difficulty because of this. There are many refugees now, and you're worried that your hundred-man squad won't be full. It's okay, I'll fill it for you."

Therefore, Yun Zhe's two hundred-man teams, one with over ninety men and the other with over thirty men, were both understaffed.

Gao asked softly, "What would be a simpler option?"

"The more difficult part is 80% of the training I mentioned the other day. The easier part is 60%. You guys practice like this first. If you can complete the 80% part 100%, then we can increase the difficulty." Yun Zhe quickly added the last sentence when he saw Caroline was about to speak.

Caroline thought for a moment, "I'll accept the difficult one."

Gao scratched his head. "I'll choose the easy one. If I choose the difficult one, I'll probably have to leave again." He looked at Yun Zhe apologetically. Yun Zhe didn't seem annoyed. Caroline, on the other hand, pursed his lips and remained silent.
