Then came another tiger roar, this time louder and closer.
"Retreat, retreat now, all of you get the hell out of here!" Nightfire's leader was frantic. He shouted, and seeing that no one was moving, he started kicking their butts to get them moving and running.
"That makes sense now. The Elf King's Sword and the Jungle Runner, they really are in cahoots with the elves!" The Nightfire leader thought to himself as he ran quickly in another direction.
"Boss..." Ted looked unwilling and confused, "Why did we run away this time..."
"I'll tell you when we get back!" The leader stopped patting Ted's head and just kept running as fast as he could.
And so, Nightfire left behind six corpses and retreated.
XiXi and Serena looked at each other, bewildered as to how they had escaped this time.
Yun Zhe didn't understand either; he was too far removed from the Nightfire leader to sense his rich inner world.
But in any case, the result seems to be good, except for that huge white tiger that came close.
ah!
ah!
Xi Xi and Serena screamed twice and hid behind Yun Zhe. A huge white tiger slowly walked out from their side.
On the tiger's back sat a female elf clad in armor unique to elves. Her hair was jet black, her black eyes gleamed, and her skin was exceptionally fair. She rode atop the tiger, looking down haughtily at the three people before her.
Yun Zhe sheathed his sword, then gestured that he wasn't carrying any weapons, and smiled as he looked at the female elf.
"Give me the sword," the female elf said in Elvish.
Yun Zhe was taken aback. He had heard this language before, Elvish, but he didn't understand the meaning of the sentence.
Yun Zhe nodded and said, "Thank you so much for saving us." He then bowed deeply.
Xi Xi behind her chuckled, but then realized it was inappropriate and struggled to suppress it. "She's saying to give her that sword."
"You understand Elvish?" Yun Zhe was overjoyed, but then felt that it was a bit unfair of the little girl not to say so earlier.
XiXi nodded, "Many magic books are written in Elvish, and I know some of them."
Yun Zhe looked at the elf, then at Xi Xi, and said, "Tell her that this sword is not an option. However, buying it is possible. I only need 100 gold coins. After all, I bought it for 120 gold coins, so a discount would be acceptable."
Xi Xi opened her mouth wide. She suddenly felt that the Aruru person in front of her was really a bit strange.
The female elf's lips twitched slightly. She added, "I don't want your sword, I just want to look at it."
Xi Xi translated this to Yun Zhe. Upon hearing that he wasn't buying but just looking, Yun Zhe felt a mix of emotions. He raised the sword with both hands and handed it to the female elf.
The female elf picked up the longsword, and when she saw the symbol on the scabbard, her eyes widened suddenly. She reached out as if to throw the sword away, but she restrained herself.
She drew her longsword, examined it carefully, and then tossed it back to Yun Zhe.
Yun Zhe took the longsword, expecting the female elf to say something. But the female elf patted the tiger's head without saying a word, then turned and disappeared into the depths of the forest.
Yun Zhe was quite disappointed. Suddenly, he heard the voice of a female elf coming from the forest; this time she spoke in a human language.
"Keep that sword safe, and don't let any other elves see it."
Yun Zhe blinked and nodded thoughtfully.
Another person rushed out of the woods, but this time it was Andrew.
