January 26th Sacrifice and Victory

Ellie's eyes were filled with tears, and she was too excited to speak.

Jerok quickly realized what had happened and recalled his last experience. To Yun Zhe's surprise, Jerok wasn't particularly agitated. He slumped down for a while, then tried to move his hand. Although he didn't feel any pain, he couldn't move it. He then said with a hint of resentment, "Why did you have to save me?"

As if anticipating this response, Yun Zhe approached Gerald and slipped a ring onto his finger. "Listen to Gerald," Yun Zhe said, looking into Gerald's eyes, "Ellie did this to save you. Don't blame Ellie. Learn from Ellie, listen to her. As a new vampire, you still have a lot to learn."

Jerok Mechanical nodded.

"Ellie, take good care of him. I need to get back to the stables quickly. We've been out for too long, and the stables..." Yun Zhe didn't finish speaking when he saw a plume of black smoke rising from the direction of the stables against the pale sky. Seeing this, the three knew the situation was urgent. Yun Zhe didn't say anything more and rushed towards the stables, leaving Ellie and Jerok behind to give them some important instructions.

Yun Zhe quickly spotted the burning stables, surrounded by chaos and a cacophony of voices. Soldiers gathered around the stables but weren't in a hurry to extinguish the fire; instead, they stood ready, seemingly on guard against something. The surrounding villagers, as if intimidated by some force, paced back and forth in front of their homes, constantly glancing at the scene.

"Ah! Yun Zhe, there's a vampire! Watch out!!" Lorraine shouted as she saw Yun Zhe running towards her.

Before Yun Zhe could answer, he was slammed sideways and sent flying. Hamelin's eyes were bloodshot, her hair was disheveled, and she had no airs of a noblewoman. Like a madwoman, she tore at Yun Zhe's armor and twisted Yun Zhe's head.

The sudden close-quarters combat caught Yun Zhe off guard. However, his slight advantage in strength still became apparent. When the two separated again, Yun Zhe had a bloody hole in his thigh and arm, and his neck was also throbbing. Hamelin, on the other hand, had a broken arm and his face was covered in blood.

"Give me back my sword!" Hamelin touched his broken arm, then twisted it sharply and reattached the broken bone.

Yun Zhe glanced at the burning stable and was even tempted to kill Hamelin, let alone return the sword.

Yun Zhe drew the Elf King Sword and, without saying a word, swung it at Hamelin.

Hamelin was at a disadvantage after a few rounds, but she did not linger in the fight. Instead, she suddenly ran towards the burning stable. The soldiers were terrified. Hamelin was too fast. Before they could react, several soldiers had already been knocked to the ground by Hamelin.

Yun Zhe ran behind Hamelin while firing crossbow bolts. In this place, Yun Zhe couldn't really show off his vampire speed, so he could only slow down to catch up with Hamelin and continue slashing with his sword.

Hamelin realized Yun Zhe's idea. She laughed loudly and moved around the stable at high speed, constantly knocking down Yun Zhe's soldiers. After a few rounds, more than ten of them had fallen.

Seeing the dwindling number of soldiers, Yun Zhe was filled with anger and frustration. It was now clear that Hamelin had astutely grasped Yun Zhe's weakness. She knew he needed to maintain his facade of a normal person and dared not unleash his full power in front of the soldiers. But even so, he faced either watching everyone die or revealing his vampire identity. Although he might save everyone, it was obvious he wouldn't fare any better.

Yun Zhe suddenly thought of the train dilemma that was often mentioned in his previous life. Only this time, it was he who was tied to the tracks.

Yun Zhe took a deep breath and suddenly drew the Mad King's Sword. Hamelin, who had been laughing wildly, suddenly fell silent.

Yun Zhe planted the sword in the ground; its golden-red blade, reflecting the firelight, appeared even more alluring. Yun Zhe looked at Hamelin not far away, then raised the Elf King's Sword, as if to strike.

"What are you going to do!" Hamelin became nervous for the first time that night.

Yun Zhe gently tapped the hilt of the Mad King's Sword with his sword, a gesture that resembled chopping off a person's head.

Hamelin moved; she lunged at Yun Zhe and engaged him in close combat once more.

This time, Yun Zhe could finally unleash his full potential. He vented all his pent-up frustration and anger, then threw his sword into the burning stable.

"No!!!" Hamelin roared, then suddenly realized that once the fire was out, he could still take it.

However, something strange happened: Yun Zhe rushed into the stable that was about to burn down, and then suddenly jumped out again.

Hamelin was stunned by this action, and the others were also puzzled.

Then everyone saw Yun Zhe suddenly pull out a burning piece of wood and throw it at Hamelin.

Hamelin instinctively dodged, then saw another log thrown at her, followed by rockets. Before Hamelin could even react, she was struck by an arrow. She yanked the arrow out, only to be hit by a burning log.

With a loud crash, the stable finally collapsed, but the result was that Yun Zhe became even more unscrupulous and began to demolish the house and throw wood.

Hamelin dodged the various burning objects while searching through the crowd for a hostage that Yun Zhe couldn't refuse. Soon she spotted the figure that was half a head shorter, petite, and timid.

Hamelin charged forward, and several soldiers scattered in surprise. But one man seemed to be caught off guard. Hamelin pierced the man's chest with one hand, and blood splattered all over the little girl's head, eliciting a scream that pleased Hamelin.

But Hamelin never had the chance to catch the little girl named Usa.
