The leader of the guards, Zade, was once a handsome young man, but now he was unshaven. He and Lorraine were childhood friends from the same village. When they set out, he thought Lorraine was very skilled, so he asked Lorraine to help escort Serena. Little did they know that the journey would not be as peaceful as they had imagined. On the day they were surrounded by the night fire, they could only break through separately. They had both resigned themselves to the fact that they were no longer meant to be together. They never expected to meet again tonight, having escaped death. They were both extremely excited.
Looking at the harmonious scene before him, Yun Zhe caught an interesting thought.
Zad didn't tell Arthas the truth: they weren't resting in the woods, but rather preparing to ambush a group of Aruruans for food and drink. It was just that he couldn't bring himself to tell them. Yun Zhe was extremely interested. Ever since he emerged from the tomb, he had been extremely cautious because of his Aluru identity, especially regarding his vampire status. Strangely, he hadn't encountered a single Aluru along the way. Now, seeing a group of Aluru in the forest, he naturally couldn't miss it.
Ellie also caught the news, and she looked nervously at Yun Zhe.
As expected, Yun Zhe didn't look at her. At this moment, his mind was full of those Aruru people. He was in a hurry to find them, so he didn't care about etiquette. He said "See you later" to Lorraine and walked towards the elven horse team.
"Wait!" Serena called out as she lay in Ellie's arms, watching Yun Zhe's departing figure. She didn't know his name yet, and although Ellie would tell her, she still wanted to ask him herself.
"My name is Yun Zhe," Yun Zhe waved and strode away. He went to the middle of the road to collect the crossbow bolts scattered on the ground.
Serena had a strange feeling; it was as if he knew what I was thinking. For some reason, Serena didn't resent this feeling of being known by him.
Ellie frowned.
