The Elf King's Sword was mentioned again in chapter 137.

Due to the humans' complacency after the first attack and the lack of any resistance from even a single force, the elves achieved even greater success this time. This also meant the elves fought for an even longer period. The attack finally ended as the sun was setting. Not a single elf was injured, not a single one fell from their horse, and the entire force departed the battlefield in a joyful yet slightly weary mood.

Humanity, on the other hand, was utterly routed. Philby, wounded in the arm, swung his sword back, but to no avail.

Sinder and several of his key men had also become separated, leaving only Zade as Serena's guard. Blake fell from his horse and injured his leg. Had it not been for his guards risking their lives to save him, he would likely have been left on the battlefield. Nuremt could no longer find his troops; he had only about a dozen personal guards with him.

Yun Zhe was fine; after all, he and Leibniz were just the two of them, making them less of a target, and nobody was after them. Yun Zhe found Philby, who had an injured arm, and then everyone gradually gathered together. They looked at each other, all appearing dejected.

"Yun Zhe, you... are there only two of you left?" Arthas's eyes were full of sympathy when he saw Yun Zhe.

Yun Zhe gave an awkward laugh, "They all ran away. Isn't that River Valley Village over there? I guess they ran there."

Arthas nodded in agreement, smiled, and patted Yun Zhe on the shoulder. "Let's go, Serena is waiting for you."

Yun Zhe paused for a moment, then followed Arthas's steps.

Serena sat on a fallen log, looking melancholy. Xi Xi sat beside her, holding her hand and saying something.

Behind her stood Zade, leaning against a tree, playing with a long blade of grass. Beside him, Sind and Newrent were talking in hushed tones, while further away, Blake sat on a rock, gazing into the distance, lost in thought.

Arthas coughed, drawing everyone's attention.

"Yun Zhe, do you have any ideas? If this continues, I'm afraid we won't make it to dawn." He turned to look at Yun Zhe.

A gust of wind blew through Arthas's pale hair, and in the setting sun, Arthas looked even older and more dejected.

The wind seemed stronger than during the day, blowing the withered grass and leaves all over the ground.

Yun Zhe looked in the direction of the wind; that was the direction the elves were retreating.

The plan he had been preparing for a long time resurfaced in his mind.

"How much...thing do we still have that can be set on fire?" Yun Zhe looked at Arthas, his eyes filled with helplessness. Setting fire to the forest was not a burden he could easily let go of, for someone who had transmigrated from a society that protected the environment.

Arthas understood Yun Zhe's idea in an instant, but then he frowned. Although the situations of the various units were different, they probably wouldn't be carrying too much stuff for arson.

At this moment, Serena stood on the log. She glanced at everyone and then said softly, "I am very touched that you have all come this far with me. I shouldn't make any more requests, but please forgive my selfishness. I hope that you can gather everything that can be ignited, for my sake and for everyone's sake."

Sind, who was far away, was very clever. Although he hadn't heard Yun Zhe's words very clearly, he immediately understood Yun Zhe's thoughts. While admiring him, Sind was also a little jealous. Why hadn't he thought of this?

Nyrent, on the other hand, was simply jealous. He had considered a plan to split the army into two groups, but he hadn't figured out how to persuade Yun Zhe, who only had one cavalryman, to be the scapegoat. Yun Zhe then came up with a plan that seemed more feasible.

Yun Zhe looked at Serena. Serena was also looking at Yun Zhe.

Yun Zhe nodded. "I'll go check out the surrounding terrain. I'll leave those things to you all!"

After saying this, Yun Zhe turned and left the venue, riding off with Leibniz on horseback.

Serena pursed her lips. This wasn't the reaction she wanted, but it was alright.

Two consecutive resounding victories allowed the elves to truly relax. All the elves believed the battle would end that very night; the human forces remaining numbered less than five hundred—and that was a conservative estimate. The cavalry returning from the front lines were even more optimistic, predicting that the human forces numbered only slightly over two hundred.

Tordron removed his helmet, handed his warhorse to a follower, and hurried into the prince's tent. He had organized the afternoon's operation, and although it had yielded good results, he had made an important discovery that he needed to report to Tandras.

“Your Highness, I have made an astonishing discovery: among the human forces, there is one of our Elf King’s swords.”

Tandras frowned. "It's nothing. We've been trading with humans for years. An Elf King's sword, while not entirely legal, is still a possibility."

Tordron swallowed hard. "Your Highness, I understand your thoughts, but this royal sword is no ordinary weapon, it is..."

Tandras closed the book in his hand, a smile appearing on his face. "You're not trying to say that this sword belongs to our family, are you?"

Tordron quickly shook his head, hesitated for a moment, and said, "It's from the Tesogor family."

"Shh!" Tenderas suddenly put a finger to his lips, signaling Tordron to be quiet. He stood up and walked to the tent entrance. "You guys go down first. I need to talk to Captain Tordron."

Then he turned back and stared intently at Tordron. "Are you sure you didn't see wrong?"

Tordron looked somewhat flustered. "Your Highness, you know my eyesight is excellent, so I'm certain it's the royal sword of the Tesogor family!"
