Chapter 126 Thirteenth Master is in Trouble

After that incident, Sixth Sister regained her previous optimism.

From Sixth Sister's words, He Yue learned that Yi Duli was unaware that Sixth Sister had come to see him, but he was indeed busy studying and had not had the opportunity to visit them.

This shows that the aunt did not tell Yiduli.

Heyue subtly told her mother about it, but her mother remained silent for a moment and didn't say anything, telling Heyue not to overthink it.

The days that followed remained peaceful. Heyue knew that her father and mother would handle things themselves, so she stopped worrying.

On this day, Heyue went to the Eighth Prince's residence.

However, Heyue did not see the Eighth Prince's wife immediately. Instead, she heard that the Eighth Prince had returned early today and that guests had arrived. The Eighth Prince's wife went to the front courtyard to entertain the guests.

The Eighth Princess Consort instructed her maid, Liu Ye, to lead He Yue on a leisurely stroll in the garden.

Heyue didn't feel slighted at all, and strolled around the garden enjoying the scenery.

Knowing that Heyue was a distinguished guest of the Eighth Prince's wife, the servants treated her fairly well.

The autumn wind is chilly, and the withered leaves have fallen, but the evergreen trees remain lush and green, while chrysanthemums and camellias of various colors bloom freely, adding some color and vitality to the autumn sky.

Among the chrysanthemums and camellias in the garden, Heyue saw a swing made of vines. She sat on it with great interest, held the ropes on both sides, and with a push of her feet, she was flying high into the air.

Looking up at the blue sky and white clouds above, the autumn wind gently brushed my cheeks, slightly cool, but my heart soared freely, and my smile grew deeper and deeper.

Before she knew it, Heyue sensed something was wrong. Her feet touched the ground, the swing stopped swaying, and she turned her head to look in one direction. She saw a young man in a bamboo-green robe standing there, staring intently at her.

Behind the boy were clusters of flowers, yet the flowers did not diminish his charm in the slightest; he remained upright, his robes fluttering lightly, as serene as the wind.

The person before him was about the same age as the Thirteenth Prince, but lacked the Thirteenth Prince's flamboyance. He exuded a calm and gentle aura, which made people feel good about him.

He Yue glanced at him a few times, realizing she had never seen him before. Then, considering that there were guests coming today, she knew that this was probably the man in front of her.

Despite his young age, he possesses an extraordinary bearing. Could he also be a prince?

He Yue pondered this for a long time, but ultimately it was none of her business, and she wasn't particularly curious about his identity.

She stood up, bowed to the boy, and turned to leave.

But a clear, gentle voice came from behind: "Is the princess the little princess of the Zhaojia Mansion?"

He Yue turned around in surprise, wondering how he knew her identity.

As if guessing what she was thinking, the young man took a few steps forward, stopped three or four steps away from Heyue, and slightly curled the corners of his lips, his voice calm: "Eighth Sister-in-law has mentioned Princess Zhaojia to me."

Eighth Prince's Consort?

A pleasant surprise.

Looking at the young man again, and recalling how he addressed the Eighth Prince's wife earlier, He Yue knew that her guess was correct. No matter which prince he was, He Yue had no interest in staying any longer.

She remained indifferent, did not reply, and simply took her leave.

The boy did not speak again.

Heyue had no desire to relax and intended to leave, but then she encountered the Eighth Prince's wife who had come looking for her.

"Are you bored? We had guests at home today and neglected you for a while. Are you not angry?" The Eighth Princess Consort carefully observed her expression, her tone slightly apologetic.

He Yue smiled faintly: "The garden in the Eighth Prince's residence is very beautiful. With willow leaves accompanying me, everything is fine."

The Eighth Prince's wife laughed heartily: "In that case, I will treat you well next time. If you like anything, you can tell me. We have guests today, so I won't keep you any longer."

Upon hearing this, He Yue's gloom suddenly dissipated, as if the clouds had parted and the fog had cleared. She secretly scolded herself for overthinking, thinking it was probably just a coincidence.

Heyue smiled brightly: "Thank you, Eighth Princess Consort."

On the way back, they ran into Su Peisheng, who was with the Fourth Prince.

Su Peisheng stopped Heyue's carriage, stepped forward and reported anxiously, panting, "Seventh Princess, something has happened to the Thirteenth Prince. The Prince wants you to go there."

Heyue frowned, but didn't care why the Fourth Prince was so anxious to send her over after the Thirteenth Prince's accident. She then instructed the driver to change course and go to the Fourth Prince's residence.

Su Peisheng arrived on a horse from the mansion, and he was still riding his horse closely beside Heyue's carriage.

Because of the carriage curtain, Heyue couldn't conveniently ask Su Peisheng what had happened, but she wasn't in a hurry.

Half an hour later, the carriage arrived at the Fourth Prince's residence. Heyue got off the carriage and was led by Su Peisheng to the side room in the front courtyard.

Upon reaching the door of the side room, a maid lifted the felt curtain for Heyue. As she entered the room, a wave of heat hit her. Two maids stood guard outside the floor-to-ceiling screen in the west side room, while the Fourth Prince and his wife stood with their backs to Heyue in front of the canopy bed behind the gauze curtain.

Heyue couldn't see inside, but she heard the Fourth Prince's angry voice: "You're not a three-year-old child. You can't just hide under the covers and throw a tantrum when you're wronged. Who do you want to laugh at you?! Your fourth brother and sister-in-law won't laugh at you, they'll only worry about you. But do you think doing this will make others respect you?! The matter has been resolved, what more do you want?!"

The Fourth Prince's wife was the first to notice Heyue's presence. She coughed lightly to remind the Fourth Prince.

The Fourth Prince stopped talking and followed the Fourth Princess's gaze to see He Yue. The dark cloud on her face startled He Yue, who couldn't help but take a step back.

The next moment I realized that I was being too spineless. The other person wasn't even angry with me, so what was there to be afraid of?

Thinking of this, he regained his composure and looked through the space between the Fourth Prince and his wife. He immediately noticed a quilt that was bulging high and motionless, like a silkworm cocoon.

His lips twitched, and the words of the Fourth Prince flashed through his mind, leaving him somewhat uncertain.

Could this be the Thirteenth Prince?

Then, considering that apart from the Fourth Prince, his wife, and two maids, there was no other thirteenth prince whom the Fourth Prince had been scolding, it seemed there was no other possibility.

He Yue was speechless for a moment, yet also felt a little amused.

The Thirteenth Prince actually did something that only a three-year-old would do.

Although Heyue didn't want to smile because of the Fourth Prince's obviously sour face, she couldn't help it, and a smile appeared in her eyes and brows.

Fourth Princess Consort glanced cautiously at Fourth Prince, not daring to breathe, and then glared at Heyue with a veiled warning.

The Fourth Prince didn't notice the Fourth Princess's gaze. When Heyue appeared, his expression didn't soften at all. However, when he saw the smile in Heyue's eyes, his dark eyes darkened and his thin lips pressed even tighter.

I thought he would be angry, but to my surprise, the Fourth Prince walked past Heyue with a sullen face and left the room.

The Fourth Prince's wife was slightly surprised, then stepped forward and patted Heyue's shoulder reassuringly. She paused, then sighed, "The Thirteenth Prince is throwing a tantrum. He listens to you, so comfort him."

After saying that, he went out.

He Yue looked completely bewildered.

Unaware of what was happening to Fourth Prince's wife, Heyue clearly saw the glance Fourth Prince gave her before leaving the house, which clearly conveyed four words: "You decide what to do!"

The threatening look in his eyes startled He Yue, who then felt confused. What did he mean by that?
