In the days that followed, Yue rested at home and didn't go anywhere. Occasionally, her sixth sister and Guanzhu would come to keep her company and play with Tuanzi. The days were peaceful.
My mood gradually improved in this atmosphere, and the depression I felt a few days ago disappeared without a trace.
On this day, Granny Sun, who served the Fourth Prince's wife, came to see Heyue and brought someone Heyue did not expect.
He Yue was a little stunned when she saw Xia Ting.
She hadn't thought about her for some time and was wondering how she ended up here.
Granny Sun greeted Heyue, who indicated that there was no need for such formalities and had a maid bring over a brocade stool for Granny Sun to sit on.
“A few days ago, the Crown Prince visited the residence and took a liking to her. He wanted to take her back to the palace. Before entering the palace, he said he wanted to visit the princess to thank her for her kindness. That's why the Fourth Princess Consort asked this old servant to bring her here.”
After hearing Granny Sun's explanation, Heyue was momentarily stunned.
How did she manage to catch the Crown Prince's eye? When did this happen?
After saying that, Granny Sun stood up with a smile: "This old servant will wait outside first. Princess, you and Xia Ting can talk for a while, and then this old servant will take her back."
Heyue nodded and asked Yuying to invite Granny Sun to the side room for tea.
After Yu Ying and Granny Sun left, He Yue carefully examined the beautiful young woman in front of her.
I always thought she was a brainless naive girl, but who knew she'd hook up with the crown prince so quickly? Looks like she's not so simple after all.
I underestimated her.
Heyue asked Hailan to bring her a stool, wanting to see what this woman wanted to say.
"Thank you, Princess." Xia Ting thanked her, sat down properly in half a seat, clasped her hands together, and lowered her head slightly.
He Yue nodded to herself. After not seeing him for a while, he had become much more well-behaved, which meant he had suffered a lot.
However, being born into a wealthy family, her every move was still much better than that of the maids.
"What do you want to say?" He Yue asked directly, her expression indifferent.
She had originally planned to make things difficult for her, but who knew that she would get involved with the Crown Prince, which ruined her plans.
But in an instant, Heyue understood.
Ultimately, it's all the scumbag's fault. She's also a victim, so Yue really can't be blamed on her.
Now that we're here, it's like being reborn. All the grudges and grievances of the past are in the past, so why keep them in your heart?
Anyway, being with the Crown Prince isn't necessarily a good thing. With so many women around him, why would he only favor her?
She doesn't even need to lift a finger; it's enough to make her suffer.
However, what was strange to Heyue was that she was not unaware that Yuqing Palace was a den of dragons and tigers. A man like the Crown Prince might not be as bad as she imagined, but he was not a good man for a woman.
Why did she still choose to follow the Crown Prince?
Just because of the wealth and status in front of you?
"Xia Ting has come to see Gege this time to thank Gege for her help." Just as He Yue was still confused, Xia Ting slowly spoke.
He Yue snapped out of her daze and looked at her delicate oval face. There was no sign of resentment or haggardness from being forced. Instead, her face was full of smiles, and her tone was very humble.
It seems it wasn't forced, but rather voluntary.
When He Yue heard this, she thought she was showing off, after all, she had no good intentions towards her at the time.
But upon closer inspection, it didn't seem so; her expression was quite sincere.
He chuckled to himself, realizing he was overthinking things. After all, she didn't know his true identity, so how could she know he harbored ill intentions towards him?
The fact that she thought of coming to find him before entering the palace shows that she is a grateful person.
"You don't need to thank me. This is all your own fate. It's your good fortune to have won the Crown Prince's favor." He Yue said these polite words in a neutral tone.
Xia Ting didn't take it to heart at all, and looked very grateful: "Your Highness is kind-hearted and doesn't care about this small favor, but Xia Ting knows what's good for her. Xia Ting is able to be where she is today entirely thanks to Your Highness's help back then. If Your Highness has any instructions in the future, Xia Ting will definitely repay your kindness."
He Yue raised an eyebrow, somewhat amused. Not to mention that she would never ask for her help, even if she did, He Yue really didn't know how she could help her.
She was quite confident, as if she was certain she would win the Crown Prince's favor.
So she didn't say anything.
Xia Ting smiled shyly: "Xia Ting knows that she is overestimating herself and cannot help Gege in any way, but it is only out of good intentions."
"I appreciate your kindness." Heyue accepted the gesture.
He Yue hadn't taken it seriously at first, but seeing how earnest and sincere she was, she finally agreed.
Xia Ting smiled faintly, pursing her lips.
He Yue's eyes flickered slightly, and she sighed, no wonder the Crown Prince had taken a liking to her.
Xia Ting may not be a stunning beauty, but her smile is very comforting and sweet, like a delicate flower that makes people want to cherish her.
Xia Ting didn't rush to leave; a hint of hesitation flashed across her face.
"Is there anything else?" Heyue asked, puzzled.
Xia Ting looked up at her, bit her lip, and seemed hesitant to speak.
Heyue waited patiently, without urging her, though she was slightly impatient.
After a while, Xia Ting slowly spoke: "There is something I am not sure if I should say, but since Princess Gege saved my life, I cannot remain silent."
She mustered her courage and looked up to meet He Yue's clear and calm eyes: "Xia Ting knows that Gege and Thirteenth Prince have a good relationship, and Xia Ting shouldn't be saying this, but Xia Ting wants to advise Gege that you should never marry Thirteenth Prince in the future."
He Yue was surprised and didn't understand why she said that.
Could it be because of the fact that the Thirteenth Prince would be imprisoned in the future? However, He Yue was still somewhat surprised and shocked that she would tell her about this.
