He Yue was speechless; she truly didn't understand.
Judging from her gaze, it seemed as if she should know what was going on.
“Historically, you were the wife of the Thirteenth Uncle, and you are my sister. I certainly don’t want us to end up in that situation in the future. The only way is to let another Zhaojia woman become the Thirteenth Uncle’s wife.”
The Eighth Prince's wife answered frankly.
But in the end, the Eighth Prince's wife still agreed to help Heyue resolve the matter between the Sixth Prince and the Thirteenth Prince.
At this moment, Heyue finally understood her sister's heart.
"Will you resent me?" the Eighth Prince's wife asked, her voice trembling with anxiety.
Heyue hugged her arm and said affectionately, "How could that be? In the end, you were doing it for my own good, and you still helped me in the end, didn't you?"
The Eighth Prince's wife breathed a sigh of relief, her gaze softening.
At this moment, Liu Ye came to report that the Eighth Prince had come by and, knowing that the Eighth Princess Consort and He Yue were talking, had returned to the study in the front courtyard.
Upon hearing this, He Yue realized that it was getting late and she should go back.
But having just reunited with her sister, she didn't want to be separated from her again, so she wrung her hands together, looking hesitant.
The Eighth Prince's wife smiled and asked, "What's wrong?"
He Yue looked up at her, and although she knew it was inappropriate, she couldn't help but speak up: "I... I want to be with my sister tonight."
The Eighth Prince's wife chuckled and readily agreed, "Alright."
He Yue was surprised, then delighted, but still somewhat hesitant: "Then, will the Eighth Prince be angry?"
He stole someone else's wife, taking away the time that the man should have spent with his wife. I think no man could tolerate that.
Heyue wasn't thinking of the Eighth Prince's best interests; she was just giving her older sister a heads-up.
It was also his own selfishness that was at play. If the Eighth Prince had listened to his sister, would he still have maintained his perfect demeanor?
A little voice was beating happily in Heyue's heart.
"Don't worry, he won't be angry." A fleeting hesitation crossed the Eighth Prince's wife's face, but she still said it.
Then the Eighth Prince's wife sent someone to inform the Eighth Prince that he should rest in another room today.
Heyue, fearing that her mother would worry, asked Yuying to go back and tell her that she was at the Eighth Prince's residence that night.
The night was as still as water. Under the pale blue gauze curtains, the two lay side by side in the dimly lit canopy bed, covered by the same quilt. The hazy and fragmented moonlight filtered through the gauze curtains, adding a touch of hazy and soft color to the two people inside.
He stared at the woman's peaceful sleeping face with his eyes open, feeling a sense of peace and contentment.
It had been a long time since I had lain down with my sister and whispered to her. Being able to fall asleep with her again, even without saying a word, was an extremely happy thing.
Heyue closed her eyes, smelled the faint fragrance around her, and quickly fell asleep.

The next day, the sun shone brightly, and Heyue returned home in a good mood.
As soon as she returned to the mansion, her mother sent someone to summon her.
"What happened to you last night? Why did you end up staying at the Eighth Prince's residence?!" Lady Irgen Gioro asked worriedly, her face showing a hint of anger.
Heyue had already prepared her explanation, saying that she had a very pleasant conversation with the Eighth Prince's wife and stayed there for one night.
“You child, how can you still be so insensible? The other party is the Eighth Prince’s wife, do you think she is one of your childhood playmates? Besides, where do you place the Eighth Prince?! You are not allowed to do this again!” Mother’s attitude was very firm.
Heyue understood her mother's worries and readily agreed, but she had other thoughts in her heart.
She certainly wouldn't act like she did last night, as that would be too conspicuous and cause a lot of trouble.
Heyue asked her aunt about her attitude, and sure enough, her mother's mind was diverted.
"After all, it's an imperial edict, what can she do? It's not entirely her fault, since her maternal clan is on the other side. But now it's a done deal, so I doubt she'll object anymore."
He nodded happily after hearing his mother's words.
Spring has passed and autumn has come; in the blink of an eye, it has been time for my sixth sister to get married.
Starting in the early hours of the morning, Yan Yue was dragged out of bed to get ready.
Heyue entered Sixth Sister's room and saw the hairdresser combing Sixth Sister's hair while reciting "Ten Combing Songs for Hair". Sixth Sister's head was nodding as she was about to fall asleep.
Seeing her arrive, his eyes lit up: "You've finally come." He reached out and took her hand.
Heyue sat to one side, watching her sixth sister dressed up so beautifully, and smiled to herself.
Yan Yue blushed as she was laughed at, nervously gripping her hand tightly, her palms sweaty: "I don't know why, but I'm so nervous right now."
He Yue chuckled inwardly, "Sixth Sister, you've finally reached this point?"
"I heard that brides get nervous before their wedding. Sixth Sister, just imagine Yiduli as a blade of grass or a piece of wood, and you won't be nervous anymore."
Yan Yue burst out laughing: "How can you say that?! He's not grass or wood."
"A man is a treasure when he's good, and a piece of grass when he's bad, isn't that how it is?" Heyue said matter-of-factly.
Everyone in the room burst into laughter.
The old woman combing her hair joked, "Seventh Princess, that's not how it works. Once you're married, your husband is your heaven and earth; you have to pamper him."
He Yue disagreed: "No, it's not for my sister. He's pampering her too much. Shouldn't a man be proud of himself? Sixth Sister is our family's treasure. He should be the one pampering Sixth Sister."
The old woman just smiled, taking it as a child's joke, and didn't argue.
"The deep sisterly bond between the Sixth Princess and the Seventh Princess is truly touching."
Yan Yue was delighted by the flattery, and her eyes sparkled as she looked at He Yue.
"That's right, with me here, I will never allow Yiduli to bully Sixth Sister! If he dares to bully you, I'll beat him up!" Heyue raised her fist.
Yan Yue leaned on He Yue's shoulder, her heart filled with gratitude: "Seventh Sister, you're so kind!"
