Chapter 16 Let's have a match

"Itoli, are you teaching me how to ride a horse, or taking me for a walk?" Heyue glared angrily at Itoli, who was leisurely strolling along while holding the reins.

She'd been here for half an hour, and was still just wandering around slowly. She was so bored she was about to doze off.

“Seventh Sister, you are a beginner at riding horses, so it’s not suitable to go too fast. Let’s take it slow and proceed step by step.” Yi Duli explained calmly with a straight face, ignoring He Yue’s annoyance.

He Yue huffed angrily, "Yiduli, don't think I can't do anything to you."

Itori covered his mouth with his fist and coughed lightly, pretending not to hear.

Yan Yue rode back from the front, dressed in a red riding outfit, looking both heroic and charming. She had a little sweat on her forehead and laughed so hard she bent over: "Seventh Sister, don't be too anxious. Yi Duli is right. You have to take your time riding a horse. Otherwise, you will easily fall off. This time, I'm on Yi Duli's side."

Heyue turned her head away angrily. She was short and rode a chestnut mare with bright, gentle eyes and a smooth, satin-like mane, which Heyue liked very much.

She crouched down and stroked the mare's mane, her eyes darting around. "Hmph," she thought, "she's never one to back down. She won't do anything without a challenge."

Itori and Sixth Sister wouldn't allow me to be willful, so it seems I can only rely on myself.

She resignedly rode her horse slowly, raised her hand to her forehead, and gazed at the distant mountains and blue sky with white clouds. It was the first time she had seen such a vast view, and her mood soared with joy.

She envied those carefree and unrestrained days, instead of being trapped in that confined space, spending each day in boredom.

However, there was no news of her sister, and despite the beautiful scenery, she still felt a piece missing from her heart.

"Sixth Sister, have you ever thought about going somewhere outside the capital?" Heyue suddenly asked.

Yan Yue looked over in surprise, frowning slightly: "Why do you say that, Seventh Sister?"

He Yue thought, her sister wasn't the type to be confined to one place. Perhaps she wasn't in the capital right now, but somewhere else. How could she possibly find her then? With her current status, leaving the capital would be incredibly difficult. But if she only searched here, what if her sister wasn't in the capital? When would she ever find her?

"I just envy the outside world and want to see places outside the capital," Heyue replied sullenly, gazing at the distant sky with a longing in her expression.

“Sigh, I wish I could too, but it’s impossible unless we marry and move to places outside the capital. But leaving our hometown will be painful.” Yan Yue pondered for a while and murmured, “Like my older sisters, some of them are in places outside the capital. We only see each other a few times a year. I miss my sisters. They must miss us too.”

He remained silent, but his mood suddenly plummeted.

“But we’re doing just fine now. When we’re bored, we go out riding horses. It’s no different from the outside world of the capital. Why envy the world outside the capital?” Yan Yue shook her head and shrugged indifferently.

Yi Duli lowered his head, seemingly lost in thought. After a long while, he blurted out, "Seventh Sister wants to go somewhere outside the capital?"

He Yue absentmindedly hummed in agreement. However, even if she wanted to leave the capital, she couldn't leave now and could only wait a few years.

“Seventh Sister is different now. The Seventh Sister of the past never envied the outside world,” Itori said slowly.

He Yue was stunned for a moment, then came to her senses and snorted irritably: "People's thoughts can change, don't you understand?"

Itori gave an "Oh," still somewhat confused: "Really?"

"Otherwise what? What nonsense are you thinking? Focus, or I might fall." He Yue raised an eyebrow, trying to scare him.

Itori stopped thinking about it and focused on pulling the reins.

He Yue chuckled inwardly, her gaze falling on Ito Li's handsome back, when suddenly a brilliant idea flashed into her mind.

Just then, a loud shout came from behind: "You, brat!"

He Yue felt the voice sounded familiar, turned her head and looked over, then couldn't help but laugh. Ha, what a small world!

No, what a coincidence! Judging from his aggressive demeanor, he probably came here on purpose. It seems he really is keeping an eye on me all the time.

Yi Duli hurriedly bowed, and He Yue and Yan Yue also dismounted and stepped forward to pay their respects: "Greetings to the Thirteenth Prince."

The newcomer was none other than the Thirteenth Prince. He rode up to them on horseback, skillfully dismounted, tossed the reins to his attendant, gestured for Yiduli to dispense with formalities, and then walked arrogantly to Heyue. With his hands behind his back, he snorted heavily, "You think you're so capable? I thought you were so arrogant, but it turns out you can't even control a horse."

He had just noticed that Heyue's dismounting posture was not skillful, which led to his ridicule.

He Yue raised her eyebrows slightly, chuckled, revealing a set of snow-white teeth: "Taming a horse is not easy, but beating a person is much easier."

Thirteenth Prince felt a sharp pain in his tooth, recalling the painful experience of being beaten that day. The girl in front of him had a cute smile, but when she got angry, she was like a devil. He subconsciously took a step back, pointed at her, and stammered, "You, you're a girl, how can you be so arrogant?" Her eyes rolled, and she coldly snorted, "What kind of skill is hitting people? If you're so capable, let's settle this on horseback!"

Heyue stared wide-eyed, looking at him like he was a monster, and curled her lip in disdain: "You really have a thick skin. You know I can't ride a horse, yet you still challenge me to a horse-riding contest. Don't you care if people laugh at you, the 13th Prince, for bullying the weak?" Knowing that the 13th Prince had come with ill intentions, Heyue naturally wouldn't give him a friendly look.
