Amidst the intense practice, the fourth day arrived as scheduled. On this day, Heyue, dressed in an orange riding outfit, looked bright and charming. Together with her sixth sister, who was dressed in a red riding outfit and looked radiant and heroic, they arrived at the place where they had agreed to meet the thirteenth prince.
The thirteenth prince, dressed in a royal blue robe, was a handsome young man despite his young age. He rode upright on horseback, his eyebrows raised, and his expression proud and confident.
Yan Yue stared in disbelief, nudged He Yue with her elbow, and muttered softly, "Why do I think the Thirteenth Prince is even more handsome?"
He Yue's lips twitched, and she glanced speechlessly at her sixth sister's bright eyes. My sister, do you have to undermine your own morale like this?
Although she was young and lacked a good figure, she was still quite pretty and charming. How could she be any less attractive than that brat crying boy across the street?
At this moment, Yi Duli coughed loudly. He Yue glanced at him and wondered to herself, but Sixth Sister had already straightened her expression and was no longer infatuated.
Hmm, it seems there's still hope for Sixth Sister; she hasn't been completely bewitched by the boy on the other side.
Nevertheless, Heyue had to admit that although the thirteenth prince was a bit annoying to talk to and a bit prone to crying, he was still quite cute. Alas, the royal genes were truly excellent.
The Thirteenth Prince naturally saw them too. And to be honest, after only three days apart, the girl's riding posture had become quite impressive. The confidence and arrogance in her eyes made her look even more dashing.
"Hmph, it's only been three days, but you've made some progress. However, you're still far from being as good as the late Prince Guo." The Thirteenth Prince curled his lip in disdain, and this heroic demeanor made him even more convinced that the other party was just putting on an act.
"The outcome is still uncertain. Thirteenth Master, don't be so quick to speak, or you might get slapped in the face." He Yue smiled brightly, showing no concern.
The Thirteenth Prince was furious again. He couldn't believe there was such a girl in the world. She didn't know any manners, was ruthless when hitting people, and spoke incredibly hurtful words.
He glanced at Yan Yue beside her. She was eleven or twelve years old. Although she was young, she was more beautiful than a flower. Her spiritedness was even stronger than her younger sister’s. She was much more pleasing to the eye than her spoiled and domineering sister.
Hmph, it's true that you only see the difference when you compare.
"Hey, even if you keep staring at my sixth sister, she won't look at you. You're such a lecherous bastard, so annoying." He Yue stood in front of Yan Yue, hands on her hips, looking furious.
The Thirteenth Prince was so angry he jumped up and down: "Who are you calling a lecherous scoundrel? I already said it was a misunderstanding that day. If you dare to slander me again, I'll tear your mouth off!"
"Hey, do you need to use your eyes to look? If not, why are you staring at my sixth sister? You even took advantage of her when we first met." Heyue snorted disdainfully, her disgusted gaze leaving the thirteenth prince speechless for a long time. His cheeks flushed red with anger, and he felt inexplicably aggrieved.
"You...you don't know anything!" After a long while, the Thirteenth Prince angrily uttered this sentence, but could not say anything else.
"Hmph, they clearly have nothing to say!"
Yan Yue wanted to laugh, they were all so childish, but she couldn't help but worry. She tugged at He Yue's hand and glared at her irritably: "Say less."
Heyue shut her mouth unhappily, but in her heart, she was filled with countless petty people, all of whom were the Thirteenth Prince.
Neither of them paid any attention to the other; Heyue was disdainful, while the Thirteenth Prince was angry. The two quickly mounted their horses and began preparations.
“It’s settled then. We’ll go through the woods ahead and then return to where we started. Whoever gets there first wins,” the Thirteenth Prince said first, though his voice was muffled.
"Okay." Heyue tightened her grip on the reins, a slight smile playing on her lips. At that moment, Yanyue leaned close to her and whispered, "Remember my words, losing is okay, just don't be impulsive."
Heyue waved her hand and whispered reassuringly, "Okay, I'll be careful, don't worry, Sixth Sister."
Yan Yue sighed helplessly, took a step back, and could only pray that nothing went wrong.
As soon as the time began, Heyue and the Thirteenth Prince darted out like arrows released from a bow, raising a cloud of dust in their wake.
Yan Yue clenched her hands nervously, biting her lip, her face full of worry.
Thirteenth Prince had been riding horses since he was a child, and he quickly left Heyue behind. His smile widened, and his previous displeasure vanished without a trace. He turned around and mocked, "You brat, it's not too late for you to admit defeat. Otherwise, it won't be good if you get hurt. I won't make things difficult for you. As long as you obediently kneel down and admit your mistake, I will forgive you."
Heyue ignored the Thirteenth Prince's words. She didn't expect to beat him with just three days of practice. She had her own plans and was determined to win today. So, she simply followed behind the Thirteenth Prince at a normal pace.
When the Thirteenth Prince reached the other side of the woods, he deliberately stopped to wait for Heyue. Seeing her slowly catching up, the Thirteenth Prince sneered, "With your speed, I really overestimated you."
Heyue pulled on the horse, turned back and smiled sweetly at him: "Thirteenth Prince, the real competition has begun, you must do your best!"
Having said that, before the Thirteenth Prince could react, he lashed the horse's rump hard with the whip, and the horse galloped away at high speed.
The Thirteenth Prince didn't care, snorted, spurred his horse, and chased after them.
Before she had gone far, Heyue sensed the person behind her getting closer and closer. She smiled, picked up a hairpin, and quickly stabbed it into the horse's belly. The horse reared up and neighed, and Heyue was almost thrown off. Fortunately, Heyue was prepared and grabbed the horse's neck tightly to avoid falling. Then the horse went crazy and galloped back at an even faster speed.
The thirteenth prince, seeing this, turned pale and shouted, "Hey! Are you out of your mind? Stop right now!"
However, the horse, stung by the thorns, couldn't stop. Heyue clung tightly to the horse's neck, feeling the wind rush past her ears and her cheeks sting slightly, but a triumphant smile played on her lips, her eyes shining brightly.
