Her indifferent tone really frightened him, turning his face pale. He gripped her hand tightly: "Don't say that. I've already told you I won't touch them. How can you still be so angry with me? What do I have to say for you to believe that I only want you in this life and will never touch anyone else!"
I didn't expect him to be so agitated. His eyes were full of anger, grievance, and accusation, as if she had done something heinous.

Heyue pinched his arm hard, her face turning bright red: "How dare you!"
"I dare!" Thirteen held her tightly, as if he wanted to meld her into his body, so that she could never say no again, and could never leave him.
His forehead veins throbbed, he closed his eyes briefly, and tried to soften his tone: "Let go, I won't say anything more, okay?"
What did she say? How did she manage to anger this stubborn person?
I was just stating the truth, not trying to spite him, but simply expressing my stance that I wouldn't compete with other women for his attention and that he should make all the decisions himself.
I've been generous enough not to interfere in his affairs; he should be happy to let him make his own decisions.

Thirteen still wouldn't let go, glaring at her fiercely: "I've said it before, you have full authority over the affairs of the manor. My business and the affairs of the manor are all your responsibility. You can manage them however you want, don't even think about shirking your duties!"

He Yue raised her fist and punched him, both amused and annoyed: "What could I possibly be thinking?!"

Thirteen snorted: "You were just overthinking things. Anyway, I allow you to be jealous, but you're not allowed to overthink things."

I can't be bothered with him!
The next day, Heyue was much better. When she went to the palace to pay her respects to Consort De, she happened to meet the Fourth Prince's wife and the Fourteenth Prince's wife, so she sat down and chatted with Consort De.
Since Thirteenth Princess was not Consort De's biological daughter, Consort De did not treat Heyue with the same warmth as she did her two biological daughters-in-law, only showing routine concern for her health.
Heyue smiled and said she was much better and thanked her for her concern. Consort De then ignored her and started talking to the Fourth Prince's wife.
The Fourth Prince's wife and Consort De had a good relationship. Consort De smiled throughout the conversation. When Consort De inquired about Honghui's situation and listened to the Fourth Prince's wife tell some interesting stories about Honghui, Consort De's smile became even more cheerful.
Heyue caught a glimpse of the Fourteenth Prince's wife. Unlike when she had seen her a few days ago, the Fourteenth Prince's wife looked much more haggard today and was clearly absent-minded.
