Although the Fujin had already taught that woman a lesson on his behalf, he still couldn't swallow his anger. Since the Fujin seemed genuinely angry, he had nowhere to vent his frustration, so he went to Guarjia's courtyard.
When Heyue heard that Thirteen had gone to the Guarjia clan again, she chuckled inwardly, but her face remained calm and composed as she glanced at Hailan, who had rushed over to report.
Hailan guiltily avoided eye contact, not daring to meet her master's gaze.
"Does he need to report to me where he goes?" His tone was full of dissatisfaction. So what if he felt sorry for the other person's suffering and they became estranged?
Since he had already done it, Heyue would not regret it. If he had truly developed feelings for Guarjia and could not bear to blame her, why shouldn't he grant her wish?
Heyue ignored Hailan's annoyance and leisurely leaned against the chaise lounge, reading a book.
Seeing this, Hailan knew she couldn't say anything more and quietly withdrew.
Chunrui came forward and pulled Hailan aside: "Hailan, what did the Fujin say?"
Hailan looked distressed: "It's still the same. It seems that the Fujin is determined. You should still have someone keep an eye on that side. If all else fails, you can only follow Wang Mama's method. Go and send some snacks to the master, and say that the Fujin ordered it."
Chunrui nodded, then frowned: "I think the Thirteenth Prince treats his wife very well. In the end, this matter is the fault of the concubine. It's not the Thirteenth Prince's fault. The Thirteenth Prince is too pitiful."
Over the years, Chunrui has grown into a graceful and beautiful young woman. She has lost her former timidity and is still charming, but she has gained a sense of calm and gentleness, making her stand out among the maids.
"Shh! You mustn't say that in front of the Fujin. The Thirteenth Prince is pitiful, but isn't our Fujin pitiful too? Besides, I don't think the Fujin is completely indifferent to the Thirteenth Prince." Hailan said emphatically, speaking up for Heyue.
Chunrui nodded thoughtfully.
Heyue had been quiet for less than an hour when she heard that Guarjia had been confined to her quarters. It was said that Guarjia had gone mad and stabbed Thirteen with scissors.
This dramatic development truly surprised He Yue.
She had just heard that Guarjia had caught a cold, which was something she had already expected.
Wearing such thin clothes and kneeling in the courtyard for a while on such a day, and then witnessing such a scene, even if one didn't catch a cold from the cold, one would still be frightened into getting sick.
But how could someone so sick and delirious possibly pick up scissors and attack a healthy teenager?!
He Yue quickly realized that it was a play directed and acted by Thirteen himself, but why would he do such a thing?
If she couldn't figure it out, she simply stopped thinking about it.
Even if she had her own reasons, Heyue didn't intend to forgive him easily.
Soon, the Guarjia clan's courtyard was sealed off, and no one was allowed to enter or leave at will.
Thirteen was sick last night, and although he woke up today, he is still weak, so he took a day off.
At noon, the Fourth Prince arrived at the residence, bringing with him the imperial physician and a message from the Emperor.
Despite her unfriendly attitude towards the Thirteenth Prince, Heyue still entertained the Fourth Prince with the Thirteenth Prince in the front courtyard flower hall.
Fourth Prince frowned as he looked at Thirteen's slightly pale face: "Your illness is really strange. You were fine yesterday, how did you suddenly fall ill?"
Thirteen didn't know how to explain, so he glanced at Heyue's calm expression and looked rather resentful.
He Yue seemed not to have noticed, and smiled faintly: "You're not energetic enough in that area, are you?"
Thirteen's eyes widened instantly, his face turned purple, and he glared at her with extreme shame and anger.
The Fourth Prince nearly spat out his tea, his usually calm expression cracking slightly. He glanced strangely at Heyue, then at the Thirteenth Prince.
He Yue smiled innocently: "Fourth Brother, don't look at me. It wasn't me. He went to Guarjia's room last night, and Guarjia fell ill from exhaustion this morning. She's still in bed now."
Thirteen's eyes blazed with fury, his gaze almost bursting, as if to say, "You know the truth, yet you still try to distort it?! Don't you know how Guarjia fell ill?"
However, He Yue didn't even glance at him. Thirteen was so angry that his chest heaved, and he was panting heavily, as if he were emitting smoke.
Fourth Prince glanced at Thirteenth Prince, who was smiling gently but had a livid face, and naturally sensed the gunpowder in Heyue's tone and the strangeness between the two. He wondered what was going on.
However, he grasped the meaning of Guarjia in Heyue's words and guessed the reason why Heyue was acting strangely. He couldn't help but clench his fist and cough lightly.
This younger sister-in-law seems to be somewhat jealous.
He wanted to give her a lecture as her elder brother, but he couldn't bring himself to do it in front of his thirteenth brother.
He Yue knew she had startled her serious fourth brother, and understood the meaning behind his glance, so she gave an awkward smile.
Since they were family, Heyue didn't hide it from them.
"Fourth Brother doesn't know, it's not that I'm jealous, it's just that some people are just stupid enough to get tricked into taking that kind of drug, and then I have to clean up the mess."
His tone carried a hint of grievance and resentment, almost as if he were complaining.
Thirteen's eyes widened as he listened, a surge of jealousy rising in his chest. He felt ashamed and heartbroken because of her intimacy with Fourth Brother, and also because of the grievance in her words.
He felt increasingly regretful about what he had done last night.
"It was my fault, and you don't need to complain to Fourth Brother. If you're angry, just take it out on me. I promise I won't do it again." He didn't care about saving face anymore; apologizing was the most important thing, as long as He Yue could forgive him.
Heyue remained unmoved, her bright eyes fixed on the Fourth Prince. She clung to his arm and pleaded softly, "Fourth Brother, I'd like to stay with Fourth Sister-in-law for a few days. You and Fourth Sister-in-law will surely welcome me, won't you?"
