Chapter 216 Confinement

Reaching out from behind to support Heyue's shoulder, the Twelfth Prince leaned closer, his gentle voice brushing against her ear, carrying a seductive quality: "What does sister-in-law want to say?"

He Yue Mumu stared blankly for a moment, shaking her head, looking bewildered, and frowning as she struggled with her thoughts.

Hailan looked at the scene before her, her face turning ashen. She wanted to step forward and ask the Twelfth Prince to release Heyue, but when she touched his smiling lips and indifferent eyes, she froze on the spot as if she had been frozen in place, no longer daring to move or speak.

He Yue was thinking in a daze when she felt someone speaking in her ear. Hearing his gentle question, she blurted out what was on her mind without thinking.

She didn't know what was wrong with her; she just felt uncomfortable all over, unable to think, and felt like she was in a dream.

Just as she was feeling lost and confused, a furious roar suddenly rang in her ears: "What are you doing?!"

He Yue shivered, not knowing what was happening, when suddenly someone walked over, forcefully pulled her to their side, and held her shoulders tightly.

Feeling pain in her shoulder blade, He Yue frowned and groaned softly, complaining in a low voice, "It hurts!"

The Thirteenth Prince immediately loosened his grip on her, but glared angrily at the Twelfth Prince, demanding, "What are you doing, Twelfth Brother?"

Thinking back to what she had just witnessed, Twelfth Brother was extremely close to He Yue, wrapping his arms around her from behind, his lips almost touching her ear, while He Yue remained completely unaware. If she hadn't arrived in time, who knows what might have happened.

The Thirteenth Prince was furious. He couldn't believe that the Twelfth Prince had feelings for Heyue. He was angry that Heyue drank alcohol even though she knew she couldn't drink, giving someone else an opportunity to take advantage of her. He wished he could crush her shoulder blades immediately.

However, she couldn't bear to blame her, so she transferred all her anger to her twelfth brother.

The Twelfth Prince remained calm, a faint smile playing on his lips, watching as the Thirteenth Prince carefully held Heyue in his arms, looking as if he had swallowed gunpowder, his eyes flickering slightly.

He slowly sat back down, glanced at Heyue, and said in a low voice, "Sister-in-law seems to be drunk. It seems that your alcohol tolerance is indeed a bit low."

Thirteen gritted his teeth in resentment. Because of what had just happened, he showed no kindness to his twelfth brother: "Heyue is not feeling well. I will take her back. Twelfth brother, please go back. I won't see you off."

Having said that, he completely ignored the Twelfth Prince, picked up Heyue in his arms, and carried her towards the main room.

Back in the room, I put Heyue on the bed and had someone make a hangover soup.

The servants came in and prepared hot water. The Thirteenth Prince personally helped Heyue take off her clothes, carried her into the bathtub, and fed her a hangover soup. He watched as her tightly furrowed brows slowly relaxed, and he breathed a sigh of relief.

After washing her, I carried her to bed, wiped her body clean with a cloth, changed the bedding, and covered her with a blanket.

After confirming that she was sleeping soundly, the Thirteenth Prince sat down in the main room. Gone was the innocent and harmless person he was in front of Heyue. Instead, he was cold and solemn, and asked Hailan about what had happened.

Hailan had never seen the Thirteenth Prince with such an expression before, and she was terrified. She told him everything in detail, and the Thirteenth Prince's expression softened a bit, but he was still furious with Heyue.

By now, how could he not know that Heyue had been tricked by the Twelfth Prince?

He had underestimated his twelfth brother, who was always good-tempered and had no outstanding qualities. The twelfth brother was much smarter than he had imagined. He had subtly extracted information from He Yue and learned the purpose of inviting him here today.

She couldn't help but feel both annoyed and amused. He Yue was wholeheartedly planning for Fucha Yuxiu's future, but she didn't expect to run into a tough opponent and get rejected.

Looking back now, it's clear that Twelfth Brother's actions were deliberately designed to provoke me into jealousy and anger; he truly has a strong desire for revenge.

Thinking of this, the Thirteenth Prince gritted his teeth in anger. He had indeed been too impulsive and lost his composure in front of his Twelfth Brother.

Thirteen couldn't help but think of what He Yue had said to him before, "You're not the only smart one," and that's when he truly took those words to heart.

Fortunately, the other party was Twelfth Brother. Twelfth Brother has always been unambitious and indifferent to worldly affairs. Since he did this in front of me, he probably just wanted to warn me and Heyue. He is not an enemy.

If it were someone else today, I wonder what they would say.

However, Twelfth Brother has never cared about such things. His warning this time shows that he does indeed have an extraordinary relationship with Heyue.

I wonder how Heyue will feel when she wakes up and finds out that her twelfth brother has seen through her.

He felt a strange sense of schadenfreude, but he carefully went back inside, took off his clothes, blew out the candle, lay down on his side next to Heyue, and put his arm around her waist.

In the middle of the night, Heyue snuggled into the arms of the person next to her, absorbing the warmth from their body.

When I woke up early in the morning, there was no one beside me, and it was already bright daylight.

Heyue sat up in a daze, called Hailan and Chunya to help her dress and wash, and asked about what had happened since last night.

When Heyue learned what happened next, she could hardly believe it.

I was actually tricked by the Twelfth Prince? And he even knew my plans?

Heyue covered her face, too ashamed to face anyone, she was so embarrassed.

I should have never drunk alcohol, no matter what! What's with the punishment?!

Upon learning that the Twelfth Prince had deliberately gotten close to her to provoke the Thirteenth Prince, He Yue sighed inwardly, "You can't judge a book by its cover. The Twelfth Prince looks gentle and kind, but he turns out to be a cunning and scheming man."

This approach failed, so Heyue had no choice but to tell Yuxiu the truth, but she concealed the fact that the Twelfth Prince had taken advantage of her while she was drunk to get information out of her. She only said that she was drunk and hadn't gotten anything out of her, so as not to upset Yuxiu.

Yuxiu wasn't too disappointed: "You don't need to think too much about it. It's best to let things take their course. If we are destined to meet, we will meet again."
