Heyue touched her nose; it didn't hurt at all.
Seeing that he was getting angrier, she quickly put her arms around his neck and comforted him with a smile: "You and her are not the same."
"How is it different?" For some reason, Thirteen, who had never cared about this matter before, was very persistent today, staring intently at her.
He Yue lowered her eyes and pondered for a moment, then smiled and said, "Of course you're the one who will be with me for the rest of my life."
Thirteen's eyes lit up, and he continued to stare at her, waiting for her to say something next.
He Yue paused, pinched his nose, and said with a displeased expression, "What do you mean by this? Are you still not satisfied?"
Thirteen pressed his forehead against hers, his tone heavy: "Of course I'm not satisfied. I also want to know who is more important, me or Eighth Sister-in-law?"
He Yue fell silent.
Sensing his low and tense mood, I reached out and patted his back: "Alright, stop overthinking."
She didn't answer, nor did she want to.
She couldn't bring herself to say the answer.
Both of them were important to her, and she didn't know when the person in front of her had come to occupy a great place in her heart.
Her sister is still the most important person to her.
But everyone has their own life to live; my sister has her own happiness, and Heyue has her own future.
The person before her is the future she must grasp, and ultimately, they are different.
The evening banquet was held in the open space outside the imperial tent, brightly lit, with singing and dancing.
Emperor Kangxi sat at the head of the table, with Prince Bandi of the Khorchin at the lower left, followed by Bandi's eldest son, Lobzang Gunbu, and several other sons born out of wedlock.
Seated on the right are the Crown Prince, the Fourth Prince, the Eighth Prince, the Tenth Prince, and the Thirteenth Prince, along with their wives.
Prince Darhan's only daughter, Qiqige, led a group of Mongolian women in a Mongolian dance, their movements displaying the unique passion and exuberance of the Mongolian people.
To be honest, Qiqige is annoying, but she dances quite well and is very beautiful. No wonder she's so arrogant; she has the right to be.
Of course, if we ignore her blatantly enthusiastic glances at the Eighth Prince and her flirtatious winks when toasting him, it would still be a delightful feast for both host and guests.
Heyue clearly saw that although her sister was smiling, her eyes seemed to be filled with knives, as if she wanted to tear Qiqige to pieces. Her hand holding the glass cup was about to crush it.
The Eighth Prince seemed to sense something and grasped her hand.
It was rare to see her sister so angry, and Heyue was both surprised and quite amused.
Qiqige is really something, managing to anger her usually calm older sister to this extent time and time again.
He Yue nudged Thirteen's arm with her elbow, her tone sinister: "Shameless as ever, you're trying to seduce people again."
The Thirteenth Prince coughed lightly and covered his mouth with a wine cup: "Don't be angry."
He Yue gritted her teeth: "How can I not be angry? It's so annoying. If someone threw a glass of wine in her face, I would thank their ancestors for eight generations."
Thirteen suppressed a laugh: "Why bother with her? She's just a clown. Didn't you see that Eighth Brother didn't even glance at her? Eighth Sister-in-law drank the cup of wine she offered, and now Qiqige's face looks terrible."
He Yue felt a little better and smiled slightly: "It would be good if she had even a little self-awareness, otherwise she wouldn't have to humiliate herself like this."
Meeting the Eighth Prince's helpless gaze, He Yue grinned, offered him a toast, and raised an eyebrow slightly, his eyes seeming to say that he had done a good job.
He noticed that the Eighth Prince coughed, covered his mouth, and turned his face away uncomfortably. He then slowly put down his wine cup.
After Qiqige finished her dance, she sat down next to the first person in the class.
Emperor Kangxi clapped his hands and laughed, praising Bandi for raising such a good daughter.
Bandi stood up to express his gratitude, his brows furrowed with pride, while Qiqige lowered her eyes and smiled shyly.
Ugh, seeing Qiqige acting like that, Heyue got goosebumps all over.
She's definitely a talented actress.
The night passed quickly.
The following day, Emperor Kangxi took his princes and the Mongol princes on a hunting trip, while Heyue and several of his wives went hunting at another location.
The men might be hunting tigers, bears, leopards, deer, and the like, while Heyue and her friends hunt small animals like rabbits.
Qiqige was also in their group, but Heyue and the Eighth Prince's wife ignored her and let her unfriendly gaze fall on her frequently.
It was Heyue's first time hunting small animals. She practiced with the Eighth Prince's wife and others. Although she didn't catch many, she still made some gains.
There was no mercy; here, only the fittest survive. Heyue coldly targeted each rabbit, treating them as her prey, and with a swift motion, she pierced through their soft fur without hesitation.
Every time I hit a rabbit, I feel a surge of joy.
The Fourth Princess came to her side and asked, "Do you have some grudge against Qiqige? Why does she look at you so unkindly?"
He Yue glanced at Qiqige, who showed no embarrassment at being caught, but instead raised an eyebrow and smiled, her smile as bright as a flower.
"She was laughing so happily, anyone who didn't know better would think we were sisters." He Yue shuddered, then looked away, seemingly unconcerned.
The Fourth Princess Consort covered her mouth and coughed lightly, her eyes smiling, and asked no further questions.
Gradually, Heyue and the Eighth Prince's wife moved further and further away, and she was able to hunt some small animals on her own.
When Heyue discovered them, they were already gone.
It is very dangerous to be alone here. Although the dangerous prey is all on the men's side, there is no guarantee that nothing unexpected will happen.
Just as she was about to return the way she came, a whoosh sounded in her ear, and a strong sense of danger made He Yue quickly bend down to dodge the attack of the arrow.
When he looked up in the direction from which the arrow had come, he saw Qiqige riding behind him, smiling and apologizing: "I'm sorry, Thirteenth Princess Consort. I saw a rabbit and shot at it. I didn't expect to almost hurt you. Please forgive me, Thirteenth Princess Consort."
