Thirteen blinked innocently: "I didn't mean to. Did I hurt you?"
As he spoke, he rubbed the spot that had been pinched sore.
Feeling his gentle strength, He Yue gradually relaxed and stopped blaming him. She let him hold her as they lay down, their bodies pressed close together, their breaths mingling.
"Oh right, you haven't answered me yet." Heyue stared at her intently, her eyes sparkling.
Thirteen lowered his eyes, his emotions unreadable, and said in a low but solemn voice, "I will find you no matter where you are in the world."
"That's it?" He Yue raised an eyebrow, thinking he was going to say something harsh, which was a huge disappointment.
After a pause, Thirteen continued, "Also, from now on, I will never let you leave my side again." He hugged her, his tone sad and pleading, "I can't bear to hurt you, so, Heyue, never leave me."
For some reason, my heart suddenly felt as if it had been hit by a pebble, rippling outwards.
Reluctant to see him so sad, Heyue smiled and patted his shoulder: "Look at what you're saying, how could I leave? I was just joking. With you and the children, I won't go anywhere. Even if I leave, our family will always be together."
Thirteen's eyes shimmered with a subtle light as he looked up at her, his gaze unwavering, a mixture of surprise and disbelief in his eyes: "Really?"
“Of course it’s true.” He Yue kissed him on the cheek.
How could Heyue bear to leave someone who treated her so sincerely? She can no longer let go of him.
