Tears welled up in Shu Yu's eyes, but she smiled and nodded, "I know Mother and Aunt are worried. I will be fine. Aunt, please take care of yourself too, and please tell Mother to take good care of herself."
He nodded in agreement.
The two walked and talked.
Upon arriving at the Imperial Garden, Shuyu wanted to return to the Eastern Six Palaces, while Heyue wanted to leave the palace.
Having finally met, and now having to part so soon, Shu Yu looked reluctant, holding He Yue's hand, wanting to say something.
Suddenly someone walked over from the opposite side. Shu Yu caught a glimpse of them out of the corner of her eye, quickly wiped away her tears, and let go of their hand.
He Yue recognized the person as Consort Qiao, who was originally Yu Ying.
After a long time, Yu Ying had gained some weight, but her appearance remained elegant and charming. Upon seeing He Yue and Shu Yu, Consort Qiao greeted them with a warm smile and bowed calmly, saying, "Greetings, Sister Shu."
He then looked at Heyue, his eyes sparkling, and smiled, "How is Princess Consort Yi? Have you come to visit Sister Shu?"
He smiled and nodded: "I'm fine. How is Consort Qiao?"
"I am well, thank you for your concern, Madam." Yu Ying lowered her eyelids, her expression slightly moved.
If He Yue remembers correctly, Consort Qiao lives in Changchun Palace, but she came from the East Six Palaces at this moment.
It seems she just came from one of the concubines' quarters.
It is said that Consort Qiao and Consort Qi were on good terms and often went to Zhongcui Palace to sit and chat.
He Yue remembered that because of what happened back then, Yu Ying had always regarded Li Shi as an enemy, and Consort Qi also regarded Yu Ying as a thorn in her side. Now the two of them were so close, and she wondered what the reason was.
However, Heyue did not intend to interfere further, after all, there are no permanent enemies in this palace.
"Is Sister Shu feeling any better? Why did you travel so far today? Didn't the imperial physician tell you to rest more?" Consort Qiao looked at Shu Yu and asked, seemingly with concern.
