Chapter 341 Going Back

What's remarkable is that the Thirteenth Prince wasn't angry. He smiled slightly and gazed at her with gentle eyes: "Since you care about them, I will exempt them from punishment. After all, you are their mother."

The children cheered.

He Yue's face stiffened. Why did she have to be so tempting?

Hmph, she's not as young as her thirteen years, what's the point of pretending?

He Yue would never admit that she had been bewitched by him for a moment.

After the meal, the Thirteenth Prince sent the children off to study, and he himself did not linger, going back to practice his swordsmanship.

Feeling carefree and with nothing to do, He Yuele led his maid to take a walk in the garden.

In fact, there is nothing to admire about the Thirteenth Prince's mansion nowadays. The courtyard is unattended and can only be described as "fallen into the mud".

So, I wandered around for about an hour and then went back.

Back inside, Heyue first drank a glass of water. The tea here was all of poor quality, and there was no good tea at all, so she had no choice but to make do with the water.

Having quenched her thirst, Hailan felt a bit hungry again, so she hurried to the kitchen to find some snacks.

Only Yu Ying and He Yue remained in the room.

Heyue pretended to pick up a book to read, but someone wouldn't let her have any peace.

Just moments before, Yu Ying had been behaving herself, but now she tentatively asked, "Are you still the Fujin (wife of the emperor)?"

He Yue paused, looked up to meet Yu Ying's probing gaze, and smiled slightly. It was rare for her to persist for so long.

He calmly withdrew his gaze and asked indifferently, "If you're certain it's not true, why ask me?"

Upon hearing this, Yu Ying was taken aback, seemed to understand something, then hardened her expression and knelt down with a thud.

He Yue didn't even raise her eyes, pretending not to see anything.

Yu Ying's lips trembled, her face was pale, and her tone was almost pleading: "If you are not the Fujin, then leave as soon as possible. Yu Ying begs you, please let our Fujin go."

He Yue looked up in surprise, slightly moved.

I never knew Yu Ying had this side to her; it was only now that He Yue realized it.

Perhaps Yu Ying made a mistake back then, but if she hadn't met Prince Yong, she would still be that loyal and good girl.

A young girl experiencing her first love, like a moth drawn to a flame, perfectly describes Yu Ying's feelings at that time.

There's nothing wrong with admiration, but she used the wrong method, the one that made Heyue lose face the most, which is why Heyue resented her.

Seeing Yu Ying like this now, I suddenly felt relieved.

Everyone has their own path to choose. Yu Ying chose Prince Yong over He Yue, which is understandable. That's why He Yue chose to support her in the first place.

If that's the case, why bother arguing about it anymore?

He Yue helped her up and, seeing her fearful and pleading gaze, said calmly, "Don't worry, I have my own home and won't stay long."

Yu Ying breathed a sigh of relief, but didn't know how to thank her for not staying, so she remained silent.

He Yue waved her hand, indicating that there was no need to say more.

She didn't need anyone to be grateful; she was just following her own heart.

At three quarters past noon, Heyue was taking a nap when suddenly a jumble of noises reached her ears—bells, voices—almost piercing her eardrums.

In a daze, He Yue suddenly felt light all over, and her soul floated up into the air.

Opening her eyes, Heyue was startled, not knowing what had happened.

A person—no, a soul—appeared before her, gazing at her with tears in its eyes.

He Yue was startled when she took a look. The person in front of her was none other than Zhao Jia He Yue herself, or rather, the original Zhao Jia He Yue.

Looking down again, he saw that the person on the bed was sleeping peacefully. He realized that he had left this body.

Facing the original owner of the body, He Yue didn't know how to speak. It was the other party who sighed first and said softly, "I should resent you, but if you hadn't been unwilling to stay, I wouldn't have had the chance to appear again. Now that you've left my body, go back to where you belong."

He Yue originally thought the other party would definitely resent her, but she didn't expect such a scene. It seems that the other party is a very perceptive person.

"I'm sorry." Whether in that world or now, Heyue owes her an apology.

Zhao Jiahe lowered her eyes sadly and whispered, "You don't need to apologize. In fact, I should be thanking you."

He Yue was baffled. What kind of answer was this? He had taken over her body and yet he was expected to receive a thank you?

“You don’t need to be surprised.” Zhao Jiahe’s gaze fell on the thirteenth prince in the room, tender and affectionate.

He Yue then realized that Thirteen had quietly entered the room.

He came to the bedside, stared at the sleeping Heyue for a moment, smiled gently, took off his outer robe, lay down next to Heyue, and embraced her.

“It has been a long time since you have been so happy. How gentle and considerate you were to me back then? I will never forget those happy times. But the hardships have taken away your joy and gentleness. You are the one who brought your smile back.”

He Yue, who was gritting her teeth at the thought of the Thirteenth Prince entering her room and secretly holding her to sleep, was taken aback upon hearing this.

Is Zhao Jia and Yue's love really this humble?

She couldn't say anything.

"Anyway, you don't need to feel guilty. I should go back now, and you should go back too. I will protect Master from now on." Zhao Jia smiled slightly, her smile as gentle and intoxicating as peach blossoms in spring, yet her cheeks revealed a resolute light, a beauty that He Yue had never seen before.

Heyue nodded. She felt something calling her back, but there was one thing she still needed to do.

"You don't mind if I occupy your body a little longer, do you? After all, we've been entangled for several days, so it's time to say goodbye to him." Heyue smiled playfully.

This was incredibly rude of them to ask to occupy someone else's body again after already having taken it. An ordinary person would probably be furious, but Zhao Jia and Yue only paused for a moment before nodding in agreement.
