Heyue was also a little sad. Although she had only been here for a few years, she had already come to regard this place as her home.
Now that she is about to get married, a feeling of reluctance wells up in her heart.
When Lady Irgen Gioro came to visit Heyue, Heyue happily stood up upon seeing her: "Mother!"
Everyone else withdrew.
Irgen Gioro sat on the bed, holding Heyue's hand, looking her up and down with a smile on her lips: "Little Seven looks so beautiful in her wedding dress!"
Heyue showed no shyness at all, and snuggled into her mother's arms, saying coquettishly, "Of course, I am my mother's daughter, so of course I am beautiful."
Irgen Gioro tapped her forehead and chuckled, "You little devil, you really have no shame!"
"Did you look at what your mother gave you last night?" asked Lady Irgen Gioro.
Heyue remembered the picture book her mother had brought last night, and pretended to be shy, lowering her head without saying a word, though she was actually incredibly embarrassed inside.
She had never experienced discussing this kind of thing face-to-face before, and she really didn't want to talk about it.
Irgen Gioro chuckled knowingly and stroked her hair: "Don't be shy. It's something every bride has to go through. It's bound to hurt the first time, but just bear with it and it will pass."
"I understand, Mother." To prevent her from continuing, Heyue buried her face in her arms.
Irgen Gioro thought she was just shy and smiled broadly.
"Once we get there, you're not allowed to act like a child anymore, and you're not allowed to go against the Thirteenth Master, understand?"
Hearing her mother's stern warning, Heyue secretly pouted, but nodded obediently: "I know, I will definitely behave well."
"You must be patient in everything you do and not act on impulse. If you don't understand anything, just ask Granny Wang."
Irgen Gioro repeatedly gave her instructions, and Heyue nodded again and again, feeling her mother's concern, her eyes slightly moist.
"Alright, Xiao Qi is all grown up now, no crying allowed. Mother knows that Xiao Qi is the strongest and bravest."
Heyue nodded vigorously and hugged her mother tightly.
After her mother left, Heyue waited in her room for the wedding party to arrive.
When the wedding procession arrived, Heyue covered her head with a red veil, held a vase in her hands, and, supported by her maid, went to the front to bid farewell to her father and mother.
With a touch of melancholy, Heyue boarded the wedding sedan chair.
There was a lot of music and festivities outside, it was quite lively.
The sedan chair was to circle the Forbidden City. Heyue felt stuffy, so she lifted her red veil and slightly opened the curtain to look outside, but she did not see any familiar figures.
Because Heyue and the Eighth Prince's wife were not related, she was unable to be seen off by her sister in person.
The night before last, Yue and I spent the night at the Eighth Prince's residence, talking all night long.
Even though I know it's impossible, I still hope to see her today.
I only glanced at it, but didn't see it, which was disappointing.
Just as he was about to lower the curtain, he suddenly noticed a familiar carriage parked behind a group of people.
A corner of the carriage curtain was lifted, and Heyue saw her sister's familiar face and familiar smile.
In an instant, her spirits soared, and Heyue lifted the curtain to wave to her sister, but suddenly heard Hailan exclaim, "My princess, what are you doing? Go back quickly!"
Then they forcefully blocked the curtain completely. Hailan, outside, patted her chest in a panic and gasped for breath. She leaned closer and complained, "Princess, you must be careful not to show your face!"
He sighed and lamented, but had no choice but to let it go.
The prince's wedding was a grand affair, with people lining the roadside to watch, and children jumping and singing songs of blessing, creating a lively and festive atmosphere.
Two hours later, they finally arrived at the gate of the Thirteenth Prince's residence. Heyue was already feeling so unwell that she was dizzy and almost fell asleep.
Suddenly, I felt the sedan chair shake, which woke me up completely. I was startled and thought it was an earthquake.
Just as he was about to call out to Hailan, he heard cheers outside and immediately breathed a sigh of relief.
It turns out it was a bridal sedan chair being shot.
The groom shot three arrows at the bridal sedan chair, then walked to the chair and kicked the door.
He Yue was startled again, and her anger flared up. How could there be so many ridiculous rules!
The thought of the Thirteenth Prince standing right in front of her sent a cold snort. Trying to intimidate her? Dream on!
Without any hesitation, he kicked the sedan door back, making a loud noise.
The thirteenth prince outside was startled by the commotion and felt a little scared.
The others also gasped in amazement; this bride was quite strong!
He Yue felt a surge of pride, and her resentment dissipated somewhat.
The person outside paused for a moment, then carefully lifted the sedan curtain.
A pair of men's black boots appeared on the ground in front of He Yue.
Taking a deep breath, I grabbed the arm the other person had reached in, stepped out, and as soon as I stood still, I was lifted into the air.
Startled, He Yue instinctively wrapped her arms around the other's neck, pressing her cheek against his chest. She seemed to hear the other's rapid heartbeat, which shocked her eardrums.
Coming to his senses, he felt displeased and pinched the other person's arm hard, also harboring a desire for revenge.
The Thirteenth Prince's face stiffened. He looked down at Heyue, who was covered by a red veil, pursed his lips, and forced himself to endure it before striding into the mansion.
Seeing that he didn't react, Heyue felt bored and stopped moving.
Back in the new house, Heyue was finally put down and let out a sigh of relief.
Being carried by him the whole way was so uncomfortable. I really didn't expect that he was so young but so strong. He carried her steadily the whole way without showing any signs of strain.
Next, the Thirteenth Prince took the wedding scales handed to him by the matchmaker, stood in front of the bed, and stared blankly at the bride in front of him. Because he could not see the bride's face, the Thirteenth Prince was a little nervous, and his palms were sweating.
Thinking about what he had done that night, and worried that she was still angry with him, he remained silent for a long time.
