If a dog bites you, you should look for the dog.
The phone vibrated on the desktop, and Liu Qinghua sent a message: "Brother Ting, let's go to Brother Bao's house."
Liu Ting stood up and tried to leave, but Zhang Nangu stopped him angrily: "When someone called you, you followed them without hesitation, but what I said to you went in one ear and out the other, right?"
"I didn't." Liu Ting said impatiently.
"Are you going to work or not?"
"I'm not going." Liu Ting looked at her, "I can still take my brother out to play at home."
"No need." Zhang Nangu roared, waking up everyone in the room.
"Open the door, open the door!" An impatient male voice came from inside, and he knocked on the door a few times.
Aunt Zhang Nan left Liu Ting in disgust and walked towards the closed door, and comforted him softly, "Xiaojun, be good, go back to sleep, and I'll call you when mom is done cooking."
Liu Qinghua squatted on the roadside and photographed the wild flowers with great interest.
"Tsinghua, what are you doing?" Liu Ting called him.
"I got bored waiting so I wanted to learn how to shoot a video." Liu Qinghua stood up and saw that he looked unhappy. "Brother Ting, what's wrong with you? Did Aunt Nan scold you again?"
The two people walked towards Liu Huabao's home.
Liu Ting told Liu Qinghua about Zhang Nangu's idea.
"Aunt Nan is really going to force you to go out to work?" Liu Qinghua stopped and held him back, "Brother Ting, you can't go. Yanqing, Ah He and I have to continue learning skills with you. You are the smartest person among us."
"I won't go. I think what the teacher said is very right." Liu Ting took out his phone and read the memo: "Now is the era of self-media. Developing e-commerce based on the rapid development of the Internet is a hot topic today."
He took back his phone and said, "We have low education, so once we go out to work, we will have to work. If the older brothers are willing to teach us, we will work hard to learn skills like Brother Bao."
Liu Qinghua confirmed his answer, smiled, and continued walking forward.
A dog barking was suddenly heard. The two men stopped each other in fear and looked in the direction of the barking.
A black bitch rushed out with her teeth bared ferociously. Liu Ting pushed Liu Qinghua back, and the bitch jumped up and attacked Liu Ting's thigh.
Liu Qinghua screamed in panic and waved his hands vigorously to hit the dog, "Go away!"
"Ah!" Liu Ting kicked at the aggressive bitch, but the bitch bit his calf.
"Get out of here!" Liu Qinghua cried and kicked the bitch twice.
Liu Huabao heard the crying and grabbed the stick in the corner of the door and rushed out.
"Ating!" Liu Huabao shouted anxiously.
The bitch, whose eyes were red with anger, was kicked several times in succession. She let go of Liu Ting and pounced on Liu Qinghua. Liu Ting kicked the bitch with his other foot. The bitch stepped back a few steps and was hit on the head by Liu Huabao. She barked and wailed.
"Bang!" Another blow! The bitch stepped back repeatedly, baring her teeth in pain.
"Crazy dog! I'm going to kill you!" Liu Qinghua chased it and hit it with a stick, roaring: "I'm going to smash your dog head!"
The vicious dog was afraid of being punished, so the bitch ran home angrily with her teeth bared.
"Brother Ting!" Liu Qinghua squatted down in panic and rolled up his trouser legs to check his wound.
The pants were bitten through, leaving two neat rows of red teeth marks on the calves. The cuts on the sides were deeper and bleeding.
"Wow, woo, woo, woo. I was bitten by a dog." Liu Qinghua burst into tears.
Liu Huabao walked towards them while stepping back to prevent the bitch from rushing out again.
Liu Huabao picked up Liu Qinghua, who was crying loudly with fear, and handed him the stick. Liu Qinghua turned towards the direction of the bitch while crying and holding the stick.
Liu Ting gritted his teeth and frowned.
"Let me take a look." Liu Huabao squatted down to check his wound. "You've been bitten. You have to go to the hospital for a dog shot." He looked up and saw Liu Ting wiping away his tears with the back of his hand.
Liu Huabao touched the back of his head and comforted him: "It's not shameful to cry if it hurts. After you cry, I will take you to the hospital to ask for medical expenses for dog injections."
"Wow, wow, wow." Liu Ting threw himself into Liu Huabao's arms and burst into tears.
Liu Huabao stroked his back gently, just like his mother stroked his back gently when he had a fever as a child.
Liu Qinghua also came over with tears in her eyes and hugged Liu Ting, crying even louder.
They both wiped their tears with their sleeves.
Liu Huabao found a thicker stick at home, and Liu Shilu was anxiously rummaging through the drawers looking for the balm, and the crutch fell to the ground.
"Xiaobao, what are you going to do?"
"Dad, please stay home and don't come out. I'll go and ask them for the medical expenses."
"We are all villagers, so please talk to each other properly."
The three of them walked angrily towards the neighbor's house, "Ahua, if that damn dog dares to rush out later, hit it on the head with a stick!"
The female dog heard the noise and rushed out of the door with a litter of puppies, but was frightened by the sticks in their hands. She bared her teeth and let out a low, angry growl at them.
"Xiaobao, why are you guys here?" Aunt Eighteen, the bitch's owner, came out of the house and asked, scolding, "You beasts, why are you yelling at your family? Go back now!"
The bitch walked back with a litter of puppies.
Liu Huabao politely hinted: "Aunt, Ating's leg was bitten by your dog. We need to go to the hospital to get a dog shot."
Liu Qinghua cooperated by rolling up Liu Ting's trouser legs.
"Ouch, it's bleeding. Poor thing, go to the hospital and get a dog shot."
After she finished speaking, Aunt Eighteen didn't mention the advance payment at all. She just stood there and stared at them.
Liu Huabao came clean: "Aunt, your dog bit someone, you have to pay for Ating's dog shots."
"Pay compensation?" Aunt Eighteen opened her mouth in surprise. "It's not me who asked the dog to bite you."
"But it's your dog."
Aunt Eighteen said confidently: "I have a dog, but I didn't tell it to bite you. It wants to bite you on its own. What does it have to do with me?"
Liu Huabao clenched the stick tightly, suppressing his anger: "Aunt, you can't be unreasonable. If your dog bites someone, we won't look for you, will we look for the dog?"
Aunt Eighteen echoed his words and said, "Yes, the dog bit someone, you should look for the dog!"
"Nan Gu, your Ah Ting was bitten by the dog of the Eighteenth Family." Before Huang Haiyuan even reached the door, the sound had already reached Zhang Nan Gu's ears. The beans in her hand were broken into two halves. She ran out of the door and met Huang Haiyuan. "They are quarreling now, go and have a look."
Liu Huabao argued: "Aunt, you are being unreasonable. You should be responsible if you don't take good care of the dog."
Aunt Eighteen pointed at the bitch in the living room and said, "It bit you, so why don't you bite it back and we'll be even."
Liu Ting clenched his fists and said, enduring the pain: "We respect you as an elder and want to discuss this with you, but you are too unreasonable."
Liu Qinghua supported Liu Ting and said indignantly: "If Brother Ting hadn't been protecting me in front, I would have been bitten. Your dog was not tied up properly and let out to scare and bite people. This is not the first time. You must be responsible."
Zhang Nangu heard the quarrel when she was more than ten meters away.
"Rural people keep dogs to guard their homes. If I tie the dog up, if a thief comes, I won't be able to drive him away. So why should I keep a dog?" Aunt Eighteen put her hands on her hips, not losing her momentum at all.
"Then are we thieves?" Liu Huabao pointed his stick at the bitch. "Everyone in the village is biting it. Is it a blind dead dog?"
The bitch bared her teeth again, angering Liu Huabao. He stepped forward and said, "Crazy dog! If you dare to jump over here again, you'll have dog meat soup tonight."
Aunt Eighteen said angrily: "If you have the guts, just beat it to death. Who are you trying to show off to in front of me?"
"Ouch!" Liu Ting protected the back of his head in pain as he was hit unexpectedly.
"Why don't you stay at home and come out to fool around and cause trouble?" Zhang Nangu scolded him angrily.
Liu Ting burst into tears of grievance and shouted: "I didn't!"
Aunt Eighteen tried to mediate: "Aunt Nan, why do you hit the child? It hurts if the child is bitten."
"You also know that he is in pain?" Liu Huabao asked loudly, "Then you should pay for Ating's dog injection!"
"What do you kids have to do with what the adults say?" Aunt Eighteen pointed at Liu Huabao, "You've been doing nothing in the village all day and you've been a bad influence on the children in the village."
"What does it have to do with you whether I am fine or not? The important thing now is that you have to pay the money!"
"I didn't ask it to bite you! I won't pay you any money."
Zhang Nangu said, "What you said doesn't make sense. Your dog bit someone. Who else should you ask for compensation? Does the dog have money?"
Aunt Eighteen crossed her arms and said impatiently, "I didn't ask you to come over! If you didn't come over, would it bite you? You know it gave birth to puppies, it's normal for a female dog to protect her puppies."
"That's unreasonable!" Liu Huabao yelled at her, "You live on the side of the road, and this is the village road that everyone has to use to get in and out. How dare you say that?"
"Yeah, everyone go, I didn't see anyone get bitten, except you guys, it's your own problem."
Having lived in the same village for decades, Zhang Nangu knew her character well. The couple were notoriously unruly and unreasonable.
"Let's go home. Stop embarrassing yourself here." Zhang Nangu pushed Liu Ting back.
Liu Huabao pouted his cheek and asked coldly: "You really don't want to compensate, right?"
Aunt Eighteen rolled her eyes at them in disdain, "Don't even think about it! Call the police if you can."
"Xiaohua, let's go."
Zhang Nangu searched hurriedly in the bushes by the roadside but to no avail. She quickly stepped forward, snatched the stick from Liu Qinghua's hand and hit Liu Ting with it.
"Ah!" Liu Ting cried even louder after being hit by a stick, and fled behind Liu Huabao in panic.
Xiang Chuzhe lowered his head to adjust the camera parameters in the back seat of the electric car. Cheng Enyue said: "Those guys were in the front, but they seemed to be crying."
"You treat other people's words as imperial decrees, and you ignore my words. You come out to stir up trouble. What's the point of you? You won't feel at ease unless you piss me off to death, right?"
Liu Ting shrugged his shoulders and cried heartbreakingly. Liu Huabao said, "Aunt Nan, we should take Ating to the hospital for a dog shot first."
"Why are you hitting him? I don't have money to give him the dog shot!" As she said this, she became even angrier and walked forward with a stick in her hand.
"Stop!" Cheng Enyue stopped him and attracted their attention.
As soon as the electric car stopped, Xiang Chuzhe stretched out his long legs and stood beside Liu Huabao.
"Why are you hitting people?" Xiang Chuzhe stared at the two-finger-wide stick in Zhang Nangu's hand.
"Yeah, if you have something to say, just talk it out nicely instead of hitting others." Cheng Enyue got out of the car immediately without even having time to take out the key.
Zhang Nangu recognized them and was furious. She cursed, "You filthy bastards, don't get involved in things that are not your business."
Asked Xiang Chuzhe: "Who are you? Why are you cursing?"
I am his mother." Zhang Nangu pointed at Liu Ting, who was in tears.
"Oh, hello, Auntie." The two of them changed their expressions instantly, smiled and nodded to greet her.
