After the Movie
It was almost midnight when the movie ended. Zhao Yin walked on my left, with his right hand in his coat pocket, but his left hand naturally held mine.
The warmth from his palm was warmer than the heater in the cinema, and I secretly leaned closer to him.
"Cold?" He turned his head to look at me.
"It's not cold." I shook my head, but held his hand tighter. "It's just that the wind is a bit strong at night."
He didn't expose my little trick and stuffed my hand into his coat pocket: "Go in and warm yourself up, don't get cold."
There was a layer of velvet in his pocket, which felt soft against my hand. I couldn't help but rub his palm. He paused and then clasped my fingers.
When I got home, my aunt was already asleep. I changed my shoes very quietly, for fear of waking her up. But Zhao Yin was even more careful, even putting down the key in the place very quietly. When he turned around, he even reached out to help me: "Slow down, the stairs are slippery."
"I know." I smiled and rubbed his chin on my tiptoe. "Brother Yin, you are becoming more and more like my mother. You are even more nagging than Brother Chen."
He raised an eyebrow and reached out to pinch my face. "Do you think I'm nagging? Then who was it in the cinema just now who choked on their popcorn and asked me to pat their back?"
My face flushed and I quickly broke free from his hand and headed for the bedroom: "That wasn't an accident! Who knew popcorn would be so crispy."
I heard his low laugh behind me, and his footsteps followed me into the bedroom. The door was closed gently, blocking out the light from the living room.
When changing into pajamas, I deliberately took my time and unbuttoned two buttons on my collar. When I turned around, I happened to meet Zhao Yin's gaze.
He was sitting on the edge of the bed, holding a mobile phone in his hand. The light from the screen was reflected on his face, but he didn't look at it much. His eyes fell on me with a hint of a smile.
"What are you looking at?" I walked over, put my knees against the bed, and reached out to turn off his phone. "Is his phone as pretty as me?"
He looked up at me, put his arm around my waist, and pulled me closer to him: "No one is as pretty as you."
His voice was lower than usual, with a hint of coolness from just coming back from outside. I couldn't help myself, so I put my arm around his neck, straddled his legs, and put my nose against his: "Brother Yin, I can't sleep."
"What's wrong?" His hand fell on my back, patting it gently, as if coaxing a child. "Is the movie too exciting?"
"No." I shook my head and buried my face in the crook of his neck. I felt his body stiffen for a moment. "I just feel like... being with you today is like a dream." From blow-drying my hair in the morning, to the live announcement in the afternoon, to the movie in the evening, everything was so sweet that I was always afraid I would wake up in the next second.
His hand paused, then he tightened his arms and hugged me tighter: "It's not a dream." His voice was close to my ear, with a little vibration, "I'm here."
I raised my head, looked into his eyes, and couldn't help but lean over to kiss him. At first, I just touched his lips lightly, and then I became bolder and licked his lower lip with the tip of my tongue.
His breathing suddenly became heavier, and he clasped the back of my head with his hands, deepening the kiss.
He led me to the bed, and when my back hit the sheets, before I could react, he was already leaning over me. "Are you sure you want to continue?"
I nodded, reached out and hooked his collar, pulling him down: "Brother Yin, don't always ask me, don't I know what you want?"
He chuckled and kissed my collarbone. I couldn't help but hum and reached out to grab his hair. He looked up at me and said, "Be quiet. Don't wake up Auntie."
"I... I'll try my best." My voice trembled a little, but he didn't give me a chance to speak. His kiss fell again, sliding from my collarbone to my heart, and then he unbuttoned my clothes.
I buried my face in the pillow and tried to keep my voice down, but every time he touched my sensitive spots, I couldn't help but hum.
His hands held my waist, just enough so that he wouldn't hurt me, but I could clearly feel his presence.
I reached out and hugged his back, gently following his movements.
"Brother Yin..." I couldn't help but call him, my voice was hoarse.
He hummed and kissed my ear: "What's wrong?"
"Nothing... nothing." I shook my head and buried my face deeper into his arms. "I just feel... very comfortable."
I closed my eyes, my mind was empty, I only remembered his warmth, his voice, and the kiss he placed on me.
I don't know how long it took, but he slowed down and bent down to kiss my forehead: "Tired?"
I nodded, my eyelids too heavy to lift, but I still reached out and grabbed his arm: "Don't leave, sleep with me."
"No." He lay down beside me, pulled me into his arms, and let me rest my head on his arm. "Go to sleep."
I hummed and closed my eyes.
When I was half asleep and half awake, I suddenly heard a soft knock on the door, followed by my aunt's voice: "Sir, Mr. Wenxi, are you all right? I seemed to hear some noise just now..."
I woke up instantly, my face turned red all the way to my ears, and I quickly shrank into Zhao Yin's arms, burying my face in his chest and not daring to look up.
Zhao Yin paused, then reached out and patted my back. He said in a deep voice to the outside of the door, "It's okay, Auntie. I accidentally knocked over the lamp just now. I hope I didn't wake you up."
"No, no," Auntie's voice was a little apologetic, "Then I won't disturb your rest. Good night."
"Good night." Zhao Yin responded. After the footsteps outside the door faded away, he looked down at me, his shoulders shaking slightly, obviously smiling.
"Stop laughing!" I reached out and punched him, my voice muffled. "It's all your fault. You made too much noise just now."
"Blame me?" He grabbed my hand, brought it to his lips and kissed it, "Who was it that seduced me first? Huh?"
I was speechless and my face turned even redder. I had to bury my face deeper, not daring to look at him.
He stopped teasing me and just tightened his arms, hugging me tighter. "Okay, I won't laugh at you anymore. Go to sleep. You still have to read the script tomorrow."
"Yeah." I nodded and closed my eyes, but I didn't fall asleep so quickly. The scene of my aunt knocking on the door just now and Zhao Yin helping me out kept replaying in my mind. I couldn't help but lean into his arms again.
"Brother Yin," I said softly, "Can we...be quieter from now on?"
He chuckled and kissed the top of my head: "Okay, I'll listen to you."
The next day, he hadn't woken up yet, his hands still on my waist, his fingertips moving occasionally. I didn't dare move for fear of waking him up, so I just stared at his face. He had high brow bones, a straight nose, and even the corners of his mouth were slightly curved when he was asleep. He didn't have the cold "iceberg" look in front of the camera at all.
I don't know how long he looked at me, but he suddenly opened his eyes and his gaze met mine.
I was startled and quickly closed my eyes to pretend to be asleep, but I felt his fingertips gently scratching my cheek: "How long have you been awake? Still pretending."
I couldn't help laughing, I opened my eyes and looked at him: "I just woke up a while ago, and I saw you were sleeping so soundly that I didn't feel comfortable waking you up."
He raised his hand and ruffled my hair, then sat up. "Hurry up and get up. Brother Chen just sent a message saying that the script will be delivered this morning and asked us to wait at home."
"Oh." I nodded and was about to sit up when my waist suddenly hurt and I couldn't help but let out a hiss.
Zhao Yin paused and looked down at me: "What's wrong? Is your waist uncomfortable?"
"It seems like..." I frowned and tried to move, but the pain became more obvious. "Maybe it was last night..." I was embarrassed to say the rest of the words, but my face turned red.
He didn't ask any more questions, but reached out to lift the quilt and carefully supported my waist: "Sit up slowly first, I'll get you some ointment."
I leaned against the head of the bed and watched his back as he walked out of the bedroom. Actually, my waist didn't hurt that much.
After a while, he came back with the ointment and a cup of warm water: "Drink some water first, I'll help you rub it later."
I took the cup of water and sipped it, watching him sit by the bed and unscrew the lid of the ointment. "It's a little cold."
"Bear with it, it will be over in a while." His movements were very gentle, slowly massaging the muscles on my waist with just the right strength, neither too heavy nor too light. The pain gradually dissipated, leaving only a comfortable soreness.
I couldn't help but lean closer to him and rest my head on his legs: "Brother Yin, your technique is really good, even better than the masters in the massage parlors outside."
He chuckled softly, and paused his hand rubbing my waist: "Only you think it's good. I wouldn't be happy if others wanted me to rub it."
"That's right," I looked up at him and smiled, "This is my exclusive service, no one else has it."
He didn't say anything, just reached out and pinched my face, and continued to massage my waist.
At noon, my aunt made my favorite sweet and sour pork ribs. While we were eating, she looked at my waist and asked with a smile, "Mr. Wenxi, why haven't you moved much today? Are you feeling unwell somewhere?"
I was about to speak when Zhao Yin took over: "I accidentally twisted it last night, it's nothing serious."
The aunt smiled knowingly and handed me a piece of pork ribs. "Young people are full of energy, but you also have to be careful and not get hurt."
My face turned red and I quickly lowered my head to eat, not daring to look into my aunt's eyes.
Zhao Yin was very calm and even helped me pick up a piece of greens: "Eat quickly, and then take a good rest in the afternoon. Send the script over and read it later."
As expected, Brother Chen delivered the script in the afternoon, along with two cups of milk tea. It was my favorite pearl milk tea, with three-tenths sugar and little ice.
Brother Chen put down the script and left without staying long, probably because he was afraid of disturbing us.
I was sitting on the sofa flipping through the script. Zhao Yin was sitting next to me, also holding a copy, and would occasionally discuss the plot with me.
"Look here," he pointed to a section in the script, "this designer character has a personality a bit like yours. You both look soft, but you're actually very stubborn at heart."
I leaned over to take a look, and indeed, the designer in the script had argued with the client several times in order to stick to his own design concept, and in the end he almost lost his job.
I smiled and said, "It seems a bit similar, but I'm not that bold to argue with Party A."
"You just haven't encountered anything worth your persistence." He closed the book and looked at me. "If you really encountered it, you would be more stubborn than him."
I didn't argue because he was right.
When I was filming a movie before, the director asked me to change the lines. I felt that the character would not be the same after that. I argued with the director for several days, and finally he decided to change it according to my idea.
At that time, he was not with me yet, but he watched me for a long time on the set, and later told me, "It's right to stick to yourself."
Thinking of this, I couldn't help but lean towards him and rest my head on his shoulder: "Brother Yin, it's great to have you here."
He put his arm around my waist and patted me gently: "Silly, you're still talking to me about this."
We just leaned on the sofa, chatting about the script, until my aunt got up after she made dinner.
During dinner, my waist started to hurt again, and I couldn't help frowning when I sat down.
Zhao Yin saw it all and after dinner he pulled me to sit on the sofa: "Come here, I'll help you rub it again and apply the ointment."
"No need, Auntie is still here..." I felt a little embarrassed, after all, Auntie was still cleaning the dishes in the living room.
"What are you afraid of? Auntie is not a stranger." He said, having already taken the ointment and found a cushion to put on the sofa, "Lie down, it will be more comfortable this way."
I had no choice but to lie down on the sofa and bury my face in the cushions.
As soon as his hand touched my waist, I heard my aunt's laughter: "Oh, Mr. Zhao is so kind to Mr. Wenxi. There are not many young people nowadays who can be so considerate."
My face flushed, and I didn't dare to look up. I only heard Zhao Yin say with a smile: "His waist is uncomfortable, it's only right to help him massage it."
"You deserve it, you deserve it." Auntie's voice was full of laughter. "But you young people shouldn't work too hard. I heard the noise last night, and it happened again today. You should take care of your health and don't overwork yourself."
After hearing this, I didn't dare to look up anymore. My face felt like it was on fire. But Zhao Yin was very calm and started chatting with Auntie: "I know, Auntie, I will pay attention next time. By the way, what would you like to eat tomorrow? I'll ask the kitchen to prepare it."
"No, no, I'll just eat whatever I want." Auntie said with a smile, "I'll make whatever you young people like to eat. You don't have to prepare it specially for me."
After cleaning up the dishes, my aunt went back to her room, leaving only the two of us in the living room.
I was still lying on the sofa, not daring to get up. Zhao Yin's hand was still on my waist, rubbing it gently: "Are you still embarrassed? Auntie didn't say anything."
"Who said I was embarrassed!" I said stubbornly, but still didn't dare to look up.
He chuckled softly, leaned over and whispered in my ear, "How about... embarrassing you again tonight?"
I suddenly raised my head and looked at him.
My face flushed, and I reached out and punched him: "Brother Yin! Why are you becoming more and more indecent!"
"I don't do this with others." He grabbed my hand, brought it to my lips and kissed it, "I only do this with you."
I didn't say anything.
After rubbing for a while, he stopped and helped me pull my clothes up: "Get up, don't lie down all the time, it will be uncomfortable in a while."
I sat up, and my waist didn't hurt as much anymore, though it was still a little sore. He held me up with his hand and said, "Come on, let's go back to the room and rest. We still have to read the script tomorrow."
I nodded and followed him to the bedroom.
When I passed the living room, I couldn't help but glance at the sofa. Thinking of what my aunt had just said, my face turned red again.
Zhao Yin probably saw what I was thinking and reached out to pinch my face: "Don't think about it, Auntie was just saying it casually."
"I know..." I whispered, but still didn't dare look at him.
Back in the bedroom, he helped me spread the quilt and let me lie down on the bed: "Go to sleep quickly, rest early today and take care of your waist."
"Aren't you going to sleep?" I looked at him.
"I'll read the script for a while, you go to sleep first." He sat on the bed and picked up the script. "Call me when you feel sleepy."
I nodded and closed my eyes, but didn't fall asleep so quickly.
Everything was so ordinary, yet so sweet that it made my heart beat faster.
I don't know how long it was, but when I was about to fall asleep in a daze, I felt him lying beside me, his hand gently on my waist.
I leaned closer to him, and his voice sounded softly in my ear: "Go to sleep, I'm here."
I hummed, completely relaxed, and fell into sleep.
My last thought before going to bed was: It would be great if every day could be like this, with him by my side.
