Chapter 104 One-on-One Tutoring

"Are you a new student beast? I've never seen you before," Ling Yunxi asked.

"no."

After helping Ling Yunxi to her feet, he continued towards the Beast Academy.

"no?"

Ling Yunxi turned around in confusion, and her pupils widened slightly in surprise when she saw him standing on the podium.

She walked back into the Blood Hall, feeling embarrassed.

Seeing her like this, Qi Liyuan snorted coldly: "Now you know fear?"

Ling Yunxi ignored him and went back to her seat.

She did seem a little guilty.

Especially when he looked up and saw the silver-haired snow beastman on the podium who exuded a cold aura.

It was completely different from what she had imagined.

The carpenter stood on the podium, his posture upright, his deep silver-gray eyes scanning the classroom with absolute calmness and scrutiny.

Inside the quiet school.

"My class has only one rule—my own rule."

His voice was deep and steady, without any threat, yet it carried an unquestionable authority, as if it could freeze the air.

His pale, slender fingers casually twirled a wood chisel.

His cold, stern gaze swept across the entire school before finally settling on the female orc who had just fallen.

“You, the orc who frequently misses my classes,” he pointed at Ling Yunxi, “explain yourself.”

When Ling Yunxi stood up, none of the orcs around her turned around.

"I'm sorry, Beast Master, I had an urgent matter to attend to, so..."

She did not reveal that she had gone to collect phoenix flowers in order to cure Chi Yanling's tail feathers.

“Beast Master, Yunxi was injured outside that day,” Mo Yanche said.

Ling Yunxi never expected that Mo Yanche would speak up for her.

"You want to help her?" The beast master's gaze shifted to Mo Yanche.

“No,” Mo Yanche said calmly, “I was the one who saved her after school that day.”

Mo Yanche's companion, worried that he would be implicated, quickly explained, "That's right, Beast Master. I was the one who discovered it first. She was really badly injured at the time."

The beast master remained silent for a while and stopped pursuing her so-called urgent matter.

"Alright, let's start class."

After Ling Yunxi sat down, she saw the beastmen walking out of the school in an orderly fashion.

What's going on?

She looked completely bewildered.

"Where to?" She looked at the orc beside her, hoping to get an answer from him.

"Today we're going to the woodworking shop."

Xuan Yize noticed her gaze and responded simply.

"Thank you," Ling Yunxi said gratefully.

Inside the sun-drenched, warm-toned woodworking shop.

The tables here are much larger than those in the school.

The tables were spaced far apart, with wooden blocks and strips placed in the open spaces between them.

The wooden table is decorated with serrated knives, daggers, and other items.

"Let's begin, following the content of the last lesson."

After the beastmaster finished speaking, the other beastmen began to get busy.

Ling Yunxi stood still and looked at the other orcs who had already picked up wooden blocks and tools, wondering what they were busy with.

"mysterious……"

Just as she was about to ask Xuan Yize at the next table, she caught a glimpse of a snow-white figure walking towards the podium.

"Watch."

The beastmaster stood beside her, giving instructions while maintaining a proper social distance, but the predator's aura and the low temperature still lingered around her.

He picked up a wooden block from her table and started drawing on it with pebbles.

Ling Yunxi paused for a moment, then said "Oh".

She noticed his pale, slender hands, the rough fingerprints worn into his fingertips, and she could smell the crisp, clean scent emanating from him, like pine wood after a snowfall.

"Focus".

The snow leopard beastmaster didn't look at her, but he could tell that her gaze was wandering.

Ling Yunxi snapped out of her daze and her gaze fell on the wooden block he was drawing.

She used to be an adventure enthusiast, and in order to be able to build a wooden cabin in the wild, she specifically learned a lot about building wooden cabins.

Building or making a box always starts with measuring a block of wood.

Ling Yunxi could tell from his technique that although he was young, he knew these professional skills.

"It's one thing for them to frequently miss my classes, but now they dare to get distracted."

The snow leopard beastmaster's words reached Ling Yunxi's ears once again.

She was surprised; he could still notice even though she had been looking.

She pursed her lips, then refocused and watched intently.

A moment later.

"Now draw one based on this."

After the beast master finished speaking, he showed the wooden block to her.

"good."

Ling Yunxi picked up another clean piece of wood from the table and took the black pebble he handed her.

She confidently placed the black pebbles on the wooden block and began to draw, astonishing them as usual.

But she didn't expect that the first step would make it impossible for her to continue.

"I can't draw these pebbles..."

Just as she was muttering to herself, the beast master walked up behind her, bent down and placed his hand directly on the back of her hand.

His large hands completely enveloped her hand holding the pebble, and with an irresistible, precise strength, he firmly steadied the tool in her hand.

With his distinct knuckles, she could clearly feel the thin calluses on his fingertips and palms from years of holding tools, rough yet reliable.

He was too close.

The fresh scent of pine wood emanating from him became even clearer, permeating every nook and cranny.

She could even feel the heat emanating from his chest, subtly warming her back.

"If the pressure is wrong, you can't draw it."

His deep voice rang in my ears, but there was not a trace of blame in it.

His palms weren't as cold as they appeared; a contrasting heat traveled to the back of her hand.
