Chapter 232 Mom, You Must Make the Decision for Me

Chapter 232 Mom, You Must Do It for Me

After Christian left, Anthony sat on the sofa and couldn't help but think of Mi Xia's face. His heart was beating fast.

On the other side, Christian's face turned cold as soon as she entered Anthony's office. When she saw Angela coming over, Christian's smile returned to her previous expression.

"Angela, please send someone to take me home." Christian said with a smile.

"Okay, miss." Angela agreed and made a phone call. Half an hour later, "Okay, miss, the driver is waiting for you at the entrance of the group."

Christian nodded at Angela and walked out. Her face was so gloomy that it looked like water could drip out of it.

Christian's home is in the Upper East Side of New York. The Upper East Side of New York is not only one of the wealthiest areas in the United States, but also one of the most expensive areas.

It spans ten blocks between East 68th and 77th Streets, and has coveted Central Park real estate.

New York's Central Park is an urban park. It is a historic park that provides a place for people to relax and have a vacation.

This shows how expensive the real estate here is. The surrounding area is full of high-end apartments and it is a prosperous area.

Not only are the housing prices in New York Park sky-high, but other related costs are also very high, which is definitely unaffordable for ordinary home buyers.

Christian's apartment is more than 380 square meters in total. It was built in 1926 and has five bedrooms and five bathrooms.

The interior is luxurious and grand, a house that ordinary people can never afford even if they work hard all their lives.

"Miss, are you back?" The maid walked over quickly.

"Where is my mother? Is she at home?" Christian asked arrogantly.

"My husband went to play cards. He should be back soon..." Before the maid finished her words, a tired voice came from outside, "Go cook a bowl of bird's nest."

"Mom, you're back." Christian threw himself into the arms of the middle-aged woman with a wronged look on his face. The woman was well maintained and it was hard to tell that she had a daughter as old as Christian.

"Christian is back? When did you come back? You didn't even inform mom in advance!" Emily said lovingly.

"Mom, I just came back too. I just asked about you and you came back." Christian held Emily tightly.

"Do you miss your mother?" Emily asked with a smile. She was usually alone at home because Anthony was very busy and her daughter also lived in school.

"Yeah, mom, I miss you so much." Christian said coquettishly. She only has this one daughter, so naturally she pampers her.

"Come on, follow me to the bedroom." Emily said with a smile, "Let's make two bowls of bird's nest. Put them on the table when they are done. The young lady and I have something to talk about. Don't go to the bedroom."

"Okay husband."

Emily took Christian to the bedroom. She was Christian's biological mother and could tell at a glance whether her daughter was in a good mood or not.

So naturally Christian seemed unhappy. She held her daughter's hand tightly, as if to give her a sense of security.

In the bedroom.

"What's wrong? Did something happen?" Emily asked worriedly.

As Emily finished speaking, Christian couldn't hold back any longer, tears kept flowing down his cheeks, "Mom, I, wuwuwu, Thomas likes another girl. What should I do? I've liked him for so many years."

"Who did you fall in love with? Don't cry first and tell me what happened." Emily patted Christian's back.

Christian told the story of Mi Xia in a disjointed manner, including the conversation her father had with her.

"Baby, don't cry first." Emily said gently, and Christian's emotions slowly calmed down.

"I heard you say that Mi Xia doesn't like Thomas? Is she lying?" Emily asked. She has seen all kinds of tricks over the years, so she naturally thinks more than Anthony.

Many of the noble ladies around Emily would say that girls use all kinds of means to get to the top.

It's not uncommon for some of the original wives to be squeezed out, so Emily couldn't help but think about it. Even though her and Anthony's daughter was so old now, she never gave up her defense.

"Dad said Mi Xia really doesn't like Thomas, and she never accepted Thomas's pursuit in school." Christian said sadly.

"Then there are two possibilities. One is that she is playing hard to get and not easily agreeing to Thomas's pursuit because she wants him to feel that she is not a casual person. Another possibility is that this girl really doesn't like Thomas. Which one do you think it is?"

Emily asked worriedly, she knew how much Christian liked Thomas, and Thomas's companions had always changed before, and although there were always girls around him, they had never been worried.

Thomas was just playing around, but Mi Xia didn't need it. Thomas even used all his family heirlooms to pursue Mi Xia.

"Mom, no matter what Mi Xia's situation is, I don't want her to continue staying in the same environment with Thomas. I want her to go back to her country." Christian's eyes were filled with hatred.

"What did your father say?"

"Dad asked me to give up Thomas. He said Thomas didn't like me before and won't like me in the future. It has nothing to do with Mi Xia." Christian said sadly. This was the first time that Anthony did not meet her request.

"Yes, mom. I really like Thomas. I want Mi Xia to leave Harvard so that I can have a chance." Christian looked at Emily expectantly.

"Leave this matter to mom. You will spend the night at home and go back to school tomorrow." Emily said calmly.

"Mom, I'm back now. Can't I stay a few more days? I really don't want to see Mi Xia." Christian said coquettishly.

"No, you have to go back to school tomorrow. Don't you trust your mother?" Emily pretended to be angry.

"No, mom. It's not that I don't believe you." Christian quickly shook his head.

"Then just listen to your mother and go back to school tomorrow." Emily's unquestionable look made Christian give up the idea.

"Okay mom." Christian lowered his head in disappointment.

"Okay Christian, let's go eat. The bird's nest should be ready." Emily said gently.

Emily plans to meet Mi Xia when she sends Christian back to school tomorrow to see if she really doesn't like Thomas or is just pretending.

If she really wanted to give up, she would give Mi Xia some money. How could she refuse money that she could never earn in her lifetime?

If Mi Xia plays hard to get again, don't blame her for using tricks...

Just like her mother said, women should do whatever it takes...
