Chapter 111 Three Days in a Cage

Yu Jiuyuan poked at the soft-boiled egg in her bowl, but inwardly she was sneering.

See, this is Rong Shenghan.

One second they can be gentle and considerate to you, and the next second they can use the cruelest methods to exploit your weaknesses.

He perfectly blends tenderness and possessiveness, making you both hate his control and unable to resist indulging in his occasional indulgences.

But Yu Jiuyuan was never a prey who could only passively endure.

During dinner, Yu Jiuyuan poured Rong Shenghan a glass of red wine, her face bearing a perfectly timed, innocent smile: "Baby, have a drink with me?"

Rong Shenghan paused in his grip on the wine glass, then looked up at her.

The girl's eyes were bright and sparkling, and she looked innocent and harmless, but he knew all too well what was hidden behind that smile.

He chuckled softly, raised his glass, and clinked it against hers: "Okay."

He knew she was testing him, retaliating, and trying to regain control of the situation.

But he didn't mind.

He even enjoyed playing this game with her.

After all, it's quite amusing to see her trying so hard to please in order to retaliate.

But that evening, Rong Shenghan showed her through his actions.

He still holds the reins of the game.

He pressed her down onto the sofa in the living room. The curtains on the French windows weren't fully drawn, and you could see the snowflakes falling outside.

His kisses traveled slowly and reverently down her forehead, but at the moment when she was most moved, he nibbled on her earlobe and asked, "Who is your best baby?"

Yu Jiuyuan's rationality completely collapsed at that moment, and she could only let those shameful words spill from her mouth: "You...you are...Baby..."

Day 3

When the tailor delivered the dress, Yu Jiuyuan was watching a movie while Rong Shenghan held her in his arms.

An old, cheesy romance movie is playing on the screen, and the male and female leads are crying their hearts out.

Rong Shenghan's hands were very restless, wandering back and forth inside her nightgown, his movements gentle yet undeniably aggressive.

"Mr. Rong, Ms. Yu, the dresses have been altered." The tailor's voice rang out from the doorway, tinged with a hint of cautious inquiry.

Rong Shenghan pressed the pause button, looked up at the door, and his face returned to its gentle and polite expression: "Thank you for your help, please come in."

The tailor came in, placed the dust bag containing the dress on the carpet next to the sofa, and lowered his head, not daring to look at them: "It was altered according to your requirements. I tried it on, and the effect is perfect."

Yu Jiuyuan was about to stand up from Rong Shenghan's arms when he pressed her down.

"No need to try." Rong Shenghan's voice was calm, but his fingertips gently pinched her waist, carrying a subtle warning. "I trust Master Zhang's skills."

The tailor nodded quickly, exchanged a few more polite words, and then hurriedly left.

The moment the door closed, Rong Shenghan grabbed her chin, forcing her to turn her head and kiss him.

The kiss was filled with intense possessiveness, as if it were an attempt to release all the emotions accumulated over the past three days.

"The dress is altered." He released her, his forehead pressed against hers, his breath hot. "We're going to sign the contract tomorrow."

Yu Jiuyuan didn't speak, she just looked at him.

"Yuanyuan," his voice suddenly became very soft, with a hint of vulnerability, "please don't make me jealous anymore, okay?"

Yu Jiuyuan's heart stirred for no apparent reason.

She looked at the fleeting, almost humble plea in his eyes and suddenly found it somewhat amusing.

This man who could drive her to tears and beg for mercy, this man who seemed to control everything, actually had moments of such anxiety and insecurity deep down.

She raised her hand to stroke his face, her fingertips gently tracing his eyebrows and eyes, a pure and innocent smile on her face: "Okay."

She leaned close to his ear and whispered in a voice only the two of them could hear, "As long as you continue to be my best baby, I won't let you be jealous."

Rong Shenghan's body stiffened for a moment, then he chuckled softly.

He rolled over and pinned her to the sofa, the vulnerability in his eyes instantly replaced by a surge of passion: "Then I'd better do my best."

This time, he didn't force her to call him by that nickname repeatedly.

But Yu Jiuyuan knew that the "revenge" of these three days had been branded into each other's very bones.

He used this almost obsessive method to declare his possession.

In this seemingly passive acceptance, she reaffirmed her control over him.

Like a closely contested game, neither side truly won, yet both gained what they wanted in the tug-of-war.

The snow outside the window had stopped sometime ago, and moonlight streamed in through the French windows, illuminating the champagne-colored dress on the carpet.

Tomorrow is the signing ceremony.

Yu Jiuyuan nestled in Rong Shenghan's arms, listening to his steady heartbeat, a faint, indifferent smile curving her lips.

The game continues.

And her "puppies" still have a lot to do.
