Chapter 144 Conspiracy

Deep within the library, the sandalwood bookshelves cast long, narrow shadows, cutting the figures of Yu Jiuyuan and Su Jingshu into mottled fragments.

Yu Jiuyuan's fingertips traced the outline of a thread-bound book with a gold-embossed cover. A metal bookmark tucked between the pages reflected a cold light. It was a cufflink engraved with the Ji family emblem, which she had "accidentally" knocked off Ji Luoqin's suit yesterday.

"This is information about the Ji Group's offshore accounts overseas."

Su Jingshu placed an encrypted USB drive on the sandalwood table, making a soft sound. "I found it in the secret compartment of Father's study, just as you said. Every transaction on it corresponds to a shady deal within the Su family, and the signatory is Ji Nianqin."

Yu Jiuyuan picked up the USB drive and ran her fingertips along the smooth metal casing.

The system panel lit up in her mind. Ji Luoqin's negative emotional fluctuation value remained at 110, while the positive value quietly rose to 25, like a trapped beast struggling between rage and desire.

"I've already had Yu's legal department draft the transfer agreement for the land you wanted."

She suddenly spoke, her voice carrying the scent of ancient ink, sounding exceptionally calm, "Once the Su family goes bankrupt and is liquidated, it will be transferred to your name."

Su Jingshu suddenly looked up, her eyes flashing with disbelief.

That piece of land was the project her mother valued most during her lifetime. It was forcibly taken away by the Su family back then, and it became a thorn in her heart for many years.

“You…” She opened her mouth, wanting to ask “why,” but swallowed it back when she saw the coldness in Yu Jiuyuan’s eyes.

This young lady never wastes words; the more generous the benefits she offers, the heavier the price she demands.

"The old master of the Ji family will be going to Switzerland for recuperation next week."

Yu Jiuyuan stuffed the USB drive into the velvet bag with the elegance of storing a work of art. "His private doctor is Yuan Xu's mentor, and he will 'accidentally' reveal his medication restrictions later."

Su Jingshu paused in her breathing.

Yuan Xu's mentor is famous for researching drugs for rare diseases. If he tampered with the medication, he could turn that all-powerful old man into a puppet that could be manipulated at will.

“You had it all planned out long ago,” she said softly, her tone tinged with self-mockery.

What he thought was a collaboration was nothing more than a piece already placed on this young lady's chessboard.

"Plans can't keep up with changes."

Yu Jiuyuan turned to look out the window. The magnolias outside the library were in full bloom, their snow-white petals falling on the bluestone slabs like torn letters. "I never imagined that the Ji family was behind drugging me."

She recalled that night when she was tormented by aphrodisiacs, and Ji Luoqin grabbed her wrist and asked, "Do you really want me to lose control like that?" Beneath the surging anger in his eyes, there was a panic that even he himself was unaware of.

It turned out that it wasn't his own obsession, but a scheme orchestrated by his family.

Through an out-of-control relationship, the Yu family was completely dragged into the Ji family's camp.

"Ji Nianqin came to see me."

Su Jingshu suddenly said, twisting the hem of her school uniform skirt with her fingertips, "He said that as long as I give you to him, he will protect my mother's reputation."

Yu Jiuyuan smiled, a smile as innocent as that of a naive young girl, but her eyes held an icy glint: "He certainly knows how to dream."

She remembered yesterday in the student council office, when Ji Nianqin hugged her from behind, rested her chin on her shoulder, and said, "Sister, stop fooling around, come home with me."

His tone was so gentle it could melt hearts, yet his fingertips gripped her waist tightly, as if afraid she might fly away at any moment.

These twins, one using rage to mask possessiveness, the other using gentleness to conceal controlling desires, are truly born brothers.

"On the day of the banquet, Ji Luoqin will leave early to go to the factory."

Su Jingshu took out a hand-drawn map from her pocket, with the location of the power distribution room circled in red. "He wants to personally 'deal with' Rong Shenghan."

Yu Jiuyuan's fingertip traced across the map, stopping at the location marked "ventilation duct".

Hidden there are miniature cameras installed by Rong Shenghan, capable of capturing all shady transactions.

“Rong Shenghan’s injuries haven’t fully healed yet,” she said calmly, her tone devoid of emotion. “Tell him to stay in the villa and not come out.”

Looking at her, Su Jingshu suddenly understood what this young lady meant by "sincere cooperation".

The benefits she offered were real, and so was her scheming. It was like throwing bloody chunks of meat to a hungry beast, wanting it to obey while also making it remember who its master was.

"What about Xie Zhecheng..." Su Jingshu hesitated before speaking.

The aloof club president has been loitering around the student council entrance lately, his gaze behind his gold-rimmed glasses always fixed on Yu Jiuyuan.

“He will go to the auction,” Yu Jiuyuan interrupted her, her tone certain.

“I had the secretariat ‘accidentally’ put the authentication report for the fake porcelain plate into his briefcase. Perfectionists can’t stand fakes, especially when they’re being treated as genuine.”

That's a ruthless move.

Su Jingshu thought to herself.

Xie Zhecheng's pride was even greater than Lin Yanran's arrogance. If he were to expose the porcelain plate as a fake at the auction, it would be enough to make the Lin family, who strongly supported the Su family, lose face.

"Lin Yanran's father has received an anonymous email saying that the Su family misappropriated their cooperation funds."

Yu Jiuyuan added, her fingertips brushing over "Hunting Notes" on the bookshelf, "The Lin family will withdraw all their investments halfway through the dinner."

The steps are all interconnected and leave no room for error.

Looking at the kind-hearted young lady in front of her, Su Jingshu suddenly felt a chill run down her spine.

The benefits she offered were like poison coated in honey, making people willingly swallow them despite knowing the danger.

“I’ve already traded my father’s bodyguard for the medicine you gave me.”

She whispered, as if confirming the final step, "After the dinner, I will 'escort' him to the factory and will never turn back halfway."

Yu Jiuyuan nodded and took out a brooch from the sandalwood box.
