Chapter 203 Evening Breeze and Waves

As the morning light of Santorini, carrying the freshness of sea mist, seeped into the bedroom through the white gauze curtains, Yu Jiuyuan was nestled in Rong Shenghan's arms.

Her fingertips unconsciously traced his warm chest, feeling the steady, powerful heartbeat of the man beneath her, his eyes revealing a clarity that was completely different from his languid appearance.

Rong Shenghan seemed to realize she was awake. His eyelashes fluttered as he opened his eyes, still drowsy from just waking up, but his face already broke into his usual approachable smile: "Awake? Won't you sleep a little longer?"

His voice was hoarse from the early morning, yet still so gentle it could drown you in tenderness. But deep within those seemingly clear eyes lay a possessiveness that only Yu Jiuyuan could understand.

Yu Jiuyuan tilted her head back and nuzzled his chin with her nose, her voice soft and sweet: "I can't sleep, I want to go out and watch the sunrise."

Her tone carried just the right amount of coquettishness, and her innocent appearance was enough to soften anyone's heart. But only she knew that this was just her usual trick to control people's hearts.

Rong Shenghan pinched her cheek and stood up gently, afraid of disturbing her: "I'll go ask them to prepare breakfast, and then I'll take you to the beach."

He knew that no matter how tender the night had been, Yu Jiuyuan would always dedicate some time to others during the day.

This was a private agreement he reached with those men, a concession he made in order to have the night to himself. But despite the concession, the possessiveness in his eyes never diminished; he simply learned to mask it with a gentle facade.

Yu Jiuyuan leaned against the headboard, watching his back as he dressed, a faint smile playing on her lips.

Of course she knew Rong Shenghan's thoughts, and she was also aware of Xie Zhecheng, Yuan Xu, and Lin Yanran's own ulterior motives.

These men have been living with her for almost half a year, and through their daily interactions, they have been tamed into the most obedient people. Even if they have their own grievances, they will never go against her wishes.

When I went downstairs, the restaurant was already filled with the aroma of coffee and toast.

Xie Zhecheng, wearing a neatly ironed white shirt, was standing in front of the bar adjusting the coffee, even controlling the temperature of the coffee precisely at 68 degrees Celsius.

Seeing Yu Jiuyuan come down, the coldness in his eyes melted a little, and he pushed a cup of perfectly warm latte in front of her: "I added half a sugar cube, and adjusted it to your preferred ratio."

"Thank you, Zhecheng." Yu Jiuyuan smiled as she accepted the cup, her fingertips touching the warm rim as she savored the careful attempt to please her.

Xie Zhecheng's love was always so understated, hidden in every precise and meticulous detail, and she enjoyed the feeling of being cherished and protected.

Yuan Xu sat at the dining table, holding a transparent glass jar in his hands, which contained several colorful seashells, obviously collected by him at the beach last night.

Upon seeing Yu Jiuyuan, he immediately pushed the glass jar in front of her, his eyes shining like stars: "The patterns on these seashells are very special. I checked, they're a local species. Look at this spiral structure..."

He then began to talk at length about biology, his tone full of excitement.

Yu Jiuyuan listened patiently, nodding occasionally in response, her face always bearing a gentle smile.

She had no interest in these dry theories, but enjoyed seeing Yuan Xu's excitement because of her attention.

Lin Yanran sat in the far corner, still with that arrogant attitude, hands in her pockets, chin slightly raised, as if she didn't care about anything around her.

But when Yu Jiuyuan's gaze swept over him, the tips of his ears turned red almost imperceptibly. He pretended to be calm and said, "If we don't go see the sunrise now, we'll miss it. Stop dawdling."

His tone still carried a hint of impatience, but he couldn't hide the expectation in his eyes.

Yu Jiuyuan naturally wouldn't expose his insincerity, but simply smiled and stood up: "Then let's go."

Rong Shenghan picked up the parasol placed by the door and naturally walked to Yu Jiuyuan's side, shielding her from the slightly glaring morning sunlight.

Xie Zhecheng followed behind, carrying a thin blanket in case it got windy at the beach.

Yuan Xu carefully held his seashell jar, following closely behind.

Lin Yanran walked at the back, seemingly nonchalant, but always keeping Yu Jiuyuan in sight.

There were few people at the beach in the early morning. The sand was wet with dew and felt soft and smooth underfoot.

On the distant horizon, the sun is slowly rising, painting the sky a brilliant orange-red, while waves, carrying shimmering golden light, surge toward the shore in succession.

Yu Jiuyuan walked barefoot on the beach, the seawater washing over her ankles, bringing a refreshing coolness.

Rong Shenghan held her hand the whole time, their fingers intertwined tightly, as if afraid she would trip over the waves.

Xie Zhecheng spread a thin blanket on a clean rock and gestured for her to sit down.

Yuan Xu squatted on the beach, continuing to search for special seashells. Occasionally, when she found a pretty one, she would immediately run over and hand it to Yu Jiuyuan.

Lin Yanran leaned against a nearby rock, her gaze following Yu Jiuyuan's figure, and the corners of her mouth unconsciously curved upwards.

"The sunrise here is so beautiful." Yu Jiuyuan sat on the reef, looking at the rising sun in the distance, and exclaimed sincerely.

This was a rare moment of relaxation for her. She didn't have to think about student council affairs or the handover work of the Yu family. She could simply enjoy the beautiful scenery and the company of the people around her.

"If you like it, we can come here often in the future." Rong Shenghan sat down next to her, pulled her into his arms, and spoke in a voice so gentle it could melt your heart.

He knew how busy Yu Jiuyuan was usually, and he felt sorry for her always working overtime, so he cherished these moments that allowed her to completely relax.

Yu Jiuyuan leaned against his chest, turned her head to look at Xie Zhecheng, Yuan Xu and Lin Yanran not far away, a complex emotion flashing in her eyes.
