Yu Jiuyuan did not ask any further questions.
Xie Zhecheng is not one to gossip, so the fact that he brought this up specifically means he felt it was necessary for her to know.
It seems that today's AI exhibition will be more than just a simple "visit".
As the car entered the city, it started snowing again.
Fine snowflakes hit the car window and quickly melted into water, leaving winding trails like an abstract painting.
Lin Yanran had fallen asleep at some point, her head lolling back in her chair. Her usual arrogant demeanor had vanished, replaced by a youthful innocence.
Looking at him like this, Yu Jiuyuan suddenly remembered his serious expression when he asked about security measures in the student council group yesterday, and couldn't help but curl the corners of her lips.
This Lin Yanran is more interesting than I imagined.
“He seems…much more well-behaved than when he first joined the student council,” Xie Zhecheng suddenly said, breaking the silence in the car.
“After all, it was Chairman Lin’s idea, so he wouldn’t dare disobey.” Yu Jiuyuan withdrew her gaze, her tone calm.
“Maybe.” Xie Zhecheng’s gaze met hers in the rearview mirror. “But I think he’s afraid of upsetting you.”
Yu Jiuyuan smiled but didn't reply. Xie Zhecheng's observation skills were always so sharp, so sharp that it made her feel a little uncomfortable.
This man is like a precise scalpel, always able to easily cut through appearances and see the truth beneath.
Fortunately, his favorability rating remained at 77, not to the point where she needed to "appease" him. Otherwise, given his insight, he would probably be the most difficult one to "tame".
The snow had stopped when the car stopped at the entrance of the exhibition hall.
Yu Jiuyuan pushed open the car door, and a blast of cold air hit her, causing her to instinctively wrap her shawl tighter around herself.
Xie Zhecheng went around to the passenger seat and woke Lin Yanran up.
Lin Yanran rubbed her eyes as she got out of the car. Seeing the crowd around her, her brows furrowed instantly: "So many people? I wish I hadn't come."
"Stop talking nonsense now that you're here." Yu Jiuyuan glared at him, then turned and walked towards the entrance of the exhibition hall. "Remember your task and take good notes."
Lin Yanran snorted, but still obediently followed, though her steps were slow, like a student forced to attend a tutoring class.
Xie Zhecheng watched the two figures as they walked away, a complex emotion flashing in his eyes, before quickly following after them.
The exhibition hall was warm and inviting, with a dazzling array of uniquely designed AI products on display.
As Yu Jiuyuan walked, she listened to the staff's introduction, occasionally stopping to discuss a few technical details with Xie Zhecheng. Her demeanor was composed, like a visitor who was genuinely interested in science and technology.
Lin Yanran followed behind the two, holding a tablet computer and taking photos intermittently. Her face was full of impatience, but she didn't actually turn around and leave.
When Yu Jiuyuan arrived at the booth of "Intelligent Core Technology", she stopped in her tracks.
On the platform in the center of the booth stood a humanoid AI, dressed in a silver-gray bodysuit, with lifelike facial expressions, interacting with the visitors around it, its tone and demeanor indistinguishable from a real person.
"This is their flagship emotional simulation AI, called 'Lingxi'," Xie Zhecheng whispered to her. "It's said to be able to accurately capture human emotions through micro-expressions and tone of voice, and respond accordingly."
Yu Jiuyuan watched as the AI gave a gentle smile to a little girl, a hint of coldness flashing in her eyes.
No matter how sophisticated the simulation, it is still ultimately fake. Human emotions can never be replicated by algorithms.
Just like her "gentleness" towards the two men in front of her, her "dependence" on Rong Shenghan, and her "patience" towards Yuan Xu, it was all just an act based on the "strategy mission," a means for her to control the overall situation, and had nothing to do with true feelings.
"It does look impressive." Yu Jiuyuan smiled, her tone carrying just the right amount of admiration. "I just wonder if you can simulate the emotion of 'jealousy'?"
She had barely finished speaking when she heard a slightly mocking voice behind her: "This young lady is quite interesting. Want to see how the AI gets jealous?"
Yu Jiuyuan turned around and saw a young man in a white suit standing behind her.
His eyebrows and eyes were somewhat similar to Rong Shenghan's, but he was more flamboyant. There was a faint smile on his lips, but his eyes were full of calculation, like a fox waiting for its chance to strike.
Xie Zhecheng's expression changed slightly, and he said in a low voice, "He is Su Mingyu, the person in charge of Zhihe Technology."
Su Mingyu's gaze lingered on Yu Jiuyuan's face for two seconds before landing on Xie Zhecheng behind her. His smile deepened: "Young Master Xie is here too? What a rare guest."
His gaze finally landed on Lin Yanran, as if he recognized him, and he raised an eyebrow: "Young Master Lin? What brings you to a place like this?"
Lin Yanran frowned but didn't say anything, clearly not wanting to deal with him.
Su Mingyu didn't mind, looked at Yu Jiuyuan again, and extended his hand: "I forgot to introduce myself, I'm Su Mingyu. May I ask how I should address you, Miss?"
Yu Jiuyuan looked at his outstretched hand, a perfectly timed smile on her face, but did not reach out: "Yu Jiuyuan, President of the Student Council of Saint Sakura Academy."
She deliberately emphasized her identity as "student council president," her tone carrying a distant politeness, as if drawing a line between herself and others.
Su Mingyu's hand froze in mid-air, his smile fading slightly, but he quickly recovered and casually withdrew his hand: "So it's Chairman Yu. I've heard so much about you."
His gaze swept over Yu Jiuyuan for a moment, then he suddenly changed the subject: "Speaking of which, I know someone who is very familiar with President Yu. I wonder if you would be interested in getting to know them?"
Yu Jiuyuan raised an eyebrow: "Oh? Who?"
“Rong Shenghan.” Su Mingyu paused deliberately, his eyes fixed on Yu Jiuyuan’s expression. “Speaking of which, he is my… distant cousin.”
