Chapter 117 Su Shenglin: I'm pursuing Jiang Wan, but she hasn't agreed yet.

“You can keep your grief and longing in your heart. Once you’re healed, you can go visit me again,” Su Shenglin comforted me, looking steadily at me, and added, “I’ll go with you.”

"You'll come with me?" I was taken aback, but then I understood what he meant.

He's going to "meet his parents".

But I haven't officially agreed to his request yet.

After my initial surprise, I quickly changed the subject, saying, "Let's talk about it when I'm better. You might not be available then."

Su Shenglin smiled but didn't reply, clearly realizing that I was just giving him the runaround.

It was almost 1 p.m. when I finished acupuncture.

Back in the car, Su Shenglin said, "Since you have difficulty moving around, we won't eat out. I've ordered food and will have it delivered directly to you."

He is always meticulous and considerate in every detail.

Anyone who is with him will feel extremely respected and comfortable.

Back at my place, Su Shenglin got out of the car and accompanied me upstairs.

To my surprise, as soon as I stepped out of the elevator, I looked up and saw my aunt and grandmother standing in the corridor.

Hearing the elevator, Auntie turned around, her face lighting up with joy: "Wanwan's back! We didn't come to the wrong place."

After I moved here from the villa, my aunt came to visit once, but my maternal grandmother never came.

"Grandma, Auntie, why didn't you tell me you were coming?" I was quite surprised and walked forward with my unsteady legs.

My aunt rushed over to help me up, saying with concern, "Grandma said that if we had told you beforehand, you would have said you were fine and wouldn't have let us come."

"..." I smiled, speechless.

My grandmother looked at me, extremely worried: "Where did you fall? Why are you walking like this? What did the doctor say?"

"Grandma, it's really nothing, just a superficial injury. It'll be fine in a few days." I was worried about Grandma's health, so I downplayed the issue.

They were all standing in the corridor talking when Su Shenglin reminded them, "Come inside and sit down to talk. Your legs can't stand for long, and the elderly need to rest too."

As soon as he opened his mouth, his grandmother and aunt were drawn to him.

"This is—" Grandma hesitated, her face full of curiosity.

My heart tightened. I remembered what my grandmother and aunt had said before, that they didn't approve of me being with Su Shenglin. I was at a loss for what to do.

But it still needs to be introduced.

“Grandma, Auntie, this is Su Shenglin, the one who lent me money at the auction to help me buy the jade bracelet. He also helped me contact the specialist when you were sick a few days ago.” I stood beside Su Shenglin, raised my hand slightly, and formally introduced him.

“These are my maternal grandmother and aunt…” I said, glancing back at Su Shenglin again.

Su Shenglin's aura was so imposing that one glance was enough to tell he came from an extraordinary background and had an impressive family history.

Grandma and Aunt, who had seen a lot in their lives, immediately became reserved. "So it's Mr. Su. Wanwan has told us that you've helped her a lot. Thank you so much."

Su Shenglin nodded politely: "Grandma, you don't need to be so polite, it was just a small favor."

As they exchanged pleasantries, I stepped forward, opened the door, and turned back to greet them, "Come inside and let's talk."

So, they all went inside.

Su Shenglin deliberately stayed until the end.

After Grandma and Aunt went into the living room, he looked at me and said in a low voice, "Then you stay with Grandma and Aunt, I'll go back first."

I was a bit confused. I knew I should try to persuade him to stay, since he hadn't even had lunch yet, and there was no reason to discard him after he had served his purpose.

But thinking about my grandmother and aunt's attitude, I subconsciously felt a desire to escape.

I hate myself for being so timid and hesitant, but I really can't openly and confidently admit my feelings for him, let alone give him a proper title.

I looked at him expectantly, a guilty expression on my face. After hesitating for a moment, I still pleaded, "You haven't eaten yet, you're hungry—"

Just then, the elevator rang, the doors opened, and a young man in a suit and tie stepped out carrying an insulated box.

"Mr. Su, this is your lunch." The young man saw him and respectfully picked up the insulated box and handed it over.

I reached out to take it, but Su Shenglin, worried that I would carry a heavy load, took it first and said, "Okay, thank you for your hard work."

"Mr. Su, you're too kind."

The young man turned and went back into the elevator. I looked at Su Shenglin and said again, "Let's eat before we leave."

Su Shenglin smiled and said in a low voice, "It's good that you have this thought. I thought you would be eager for me to get lost as soon as you see an elder."

"..." I looked at the faint self-deprecating smile in his eyes and felt extremely guilty.

Because I did have that thought.

"I'll help you carry it in. You should sit down quickly." Su Shenglin carried the insulated box in one hand and helped me with the other as we entered the living room together.

"You haven't eaten yet?" Auntie asked, puzzled.

"Yes, I went for my treatment around 10 a.m. and came back right after that," I explained.

Su Shenglin placed the insulated box on the dining table, turned to his grandmother and aunt, and said politely, "Grandma, Aunt, you stay with Jiang Wan. I'll be going now."

Despite his distinguished and illustrious status, he showed no arrogance whatsoever, but rather displayed remarkable refinement and politeness.

Grandma was already seated on the sofa when she heard this, and immediately stood up: "Haven't you eaten yet? Why are you leaving on an empty stomach?"

Upon hearing my grandmother's words, I immediately looked at him and advised, "Yes, at least eat before you leave."

My aunt came over and urged me to stay, saying, "You've been taking care of Wanwan so diligently, how can you leave on an empty stomach? Hurry up and eat."

As she spoke, my aunt walked to the entrance and closed the door.

As a result, Su Shenglin had no choice but to stay.

"Alright, then I'll trouble Grandma and Auntie." His manners, upbringing, and emotional intelligence were all impeccable.
