Chapter 153 We Loved Each Other Passionately

After that, I stopped going to see him.

Yang Qianmu probably noticed the flirting between me and Su Shenglin, and his expression became somewhat awkward several times. In the end, he had no choice but to keep it brief: "That's the general situation. President Jiang, please take a look first. Ask me if you have any questions. I have some other things to take care of."

Without waiting for my response, he got up and left.

Su Shenglin walked over and asked, "Would President Jiang like some water?"

I sat up, leaned back in my chair, and sighed, "Why are you like someone with ADHD, always wandering around? Can't you just sit still on the sofa?"

He laughed, "What, is it because my every move stirs someone's heart, making it impossible for them to concentrate on their work?"

"..." I turned my eyes away with a mixture of helplessness and sweetness, and decided to ignore him.

In retrospect, all that talk of being low-key, mysterious, and reserved was just a misconception given to outsiders.

In reality, he is narcissistic, flamboyant, shameless, and petty.

I was busy with work all afternoon, and he just wandered around my office.

Occasionally, I would glance over, and he would immediately run over and ask, "Are you done with your work? Or did you miss me?"

I glared at him and continued working with my head down.

Around six o'clock, I finally got everything done.

Yang Qianmu knocked on the door again and came in. "President Jiang, everything is settled here. We'll have a regular meeting first thing tomorrow morning to arrange the work, and we can set off at noon."

"Okay, thank you for your hard work, Mr. Yang."

"Of course."

Just as Yang Qianmu was about to leave, Su Shenglin suddenly spoke up: "President Yang, please wait."

I was startled and looked at him—what was this guy up to now?

"It's getting late, why don't we have dinner together? It's on me. I haven't thanked you for helping Jiang Wan fix her car last time."

Su Shenglin's reasoned, well-founded, and cultured speech made it impossible for anyone to refuse.

But inside I was screaming!

This guy, he's actually going to keep the promise he made when he picked me up at the seafood hot pot restaurant last time?

Isn't that just a casual, polite remark?

Yang Qianmu was taken aback, probably quite surprised, before saying, "It was nothing."

“Mr. Yang also needs to eat, so we can join him.” Su Shenglin politely invited him again, then added, “However, if Mr. Yang has other plans, we won’t force him.”

Yang Qianmu glanced at me, his thoughts unreadable, and then replied, "I have no appointment."

"Then let's go together."

He nodded. "Thank you, Mr. Su."

Yang Qianmu turned around and went back to his office to get his coat. I looked at Su Shenglin and asked in confusion, "What are you planning to do now? Why do you have to invite people to dinner out of the blue?"

Su Shenglin walked to my side, raised his hand, and brushed the hair that was draped over my shoulder behind my ear, smoothing it out one strand at a time. He smiled and said, "It's only right for you, as the boss, to treat him to a meal on the weekend when he's working overtime. Besides, I did say I'd treat him when I had time after he helped you fix your car last time, and it just so happens that we've run into each other."

"Ha! I don't believe you for a second. You're clearly just showing off on purpose." I bluntly exposed him.

He chuckled softly, and the hand that had been playing with my hair switched to rubbing the back of his hand against my face, like petting a small pet.

"If you saw through me, then President Yang must have seen through me too."

"Nonsense! They're not blind or stupid!" I retorted irritably, dodging his movements. "Why do you always like to get physical?"

"Because you look so alluring that you can't help but want to touch you."

What kind of description is this?

I gave him a disapproving look and reminded him, "Behave yourself later and stop with these little tricks. I'm the boss, after all, and I need to maintain some dignity in front of my subordinates."

"Okay, I understand."

Since I'd already invited him, it wouldn't be good to go back on my word. I could only tell him to behave "normally" and not do anything reckless.

But looking at his cocky, smug expression, I always felt he wouldn't be so obedient.

The restaurant was chosen by Su Shenglin.

The usual place, a seafood hot pot restaurant.

When I heard him say we should eat here, I gave him a speechless look.

This pettiness is worthy of a Guinness World Record.

On my way to the hot pot restaurant, Li Yunwei called me.

"You busy man, you finally have some free time," I teased as I answered the phone.

Li Yun sighed, "Don't even mention it, I've been incredibly busy these past few days. Are you free today?"

I knew what she was asking, and replied, "I'm fine, don't worry."

"The Gu family hasn't caused you any more trouble, has they? After all, you sent Gu Yutian to jail again."

"I didn't look for her anymore. I guess Gu Yanqing knows it's no use coming to me." After all, this time, Gu Yutian offended Su Shenglin.

"Mr. Su is truly domineering!" Li Yunwei said with a hint of schadenfreude, then changed the subject, "So, how did it go when you went to the Su family to meet the elders today?"

Considering that Su Shenglin was right beside me, I hesitated for a moment and said, "Let's talk about it later; it's rather complicated."

"Complex? What do you mean? They don't accept you?"

"Um...no, I'm going to eat now, we'll talk later."

I dodged the question twice, and Li Yunwei suddenly realized, "Is Mr. Su with you? Is it inconvenient to talk about it?"

"Um."

"Oh, I understand, I understand. You guys go ahead and eat. We'll talk again when it's convenient for you."

"Okay." As I was about to hang up, I suddenly remembered that I had to go on a business trip tomorrow, so I hurriedly added, "It will have to wait until after the New Year. I'm going to Milan tomorrow."

Li Yunwei was so busy that she forgot about it, but she remembered it when I mentioned it.

"It must be tough for you to spend every Spring Festival in a foreign country. Now that you have a boyfriend, don't bother with that next year."

I smiled and said meaningfully, "Let's talk about it next year."
