We kissed passionately in the elevator, as if the end of the world was coming, completely ignoring the security camera pointed at us.
Screw it, let whoever wants to watch it watch it, I don't care anyway.

The elevator doors opened, and we, still connected, stumbled and fell like conjoined twins to the security door.

But the next second, Su Shenglin's hot and strong body pressed down on me, instantly warming me.
In the chaos, we quickly stopped feeling cold.
We felt as if a raging fire was burning, threatening to engulf us all.

After the first time, I was panting heavily, my thoughts seemingly floating on clouds.
Su Shenglin pulled the blanket over me, but the cool blanket startled me and made me shiver.
He laughed, "Now you feel cold? You were in such a hurry just now, I wanted to free my hand to turn on the air conditioner, but you dragged me back."
I glanced at him sideways, my displeasure evident.
But I know that at this moment, even if I put on an unhappy face, the alluring charm flowing in my eyes will have no deterrent effect whatsoever.
"Aren't you in a hurry? If you're not in a hurry, call me twice along the way." I retorted sarcastically, not to be outdone.
He reached for the remote, turned on the air conditioner, then stepped back and crawled into bed with me.
"Yeah, I'm anxious too, even more anxious than you..." he murmured softly, his face close to mine.
I smiled and leaned in to kiss him again.
As he answered, he asked, "How much did you drink tonight? Didn't I tell you not to drink when I'm not around? What if you get drunk?"
I suddenly stopped kissing, and only then did I remember something. I said embarrassedly, "Does the smell of alcohol smell bad?"
"I don't mind." He chuckled softly, then pressed his forehead against mine and continued to peck at me with kisses.
"No, I need to get up, take a shower, and brush my teeth." My mind was clear now, and I started to care about my appearance.
"No rush." He put his arm around my waist and pulled me back. "Wait until the room warms up before you take a shower, so you don't get cold."
I had no choice but to lie down again.
We embraced quietly, neither of us speaking for a moment.
I was already rehearsing my breakup lines in my mind. Just thinking about it made my chest ache, and tears streamed down my face.
He put his arm around me, and we were very close.
He quickly discovered the clues.
"What's wrong? Why are you crying?" he asked tenderly, kissing away my tears.
I looked up at him and said in a low, hoarse voice, "It's nothing, I was just so happy to see you come back safe and sound, I cried tears of joy."
Su Shenglin looked at me and laughed, "Silly girl, I'm just on a business trip. What could possibly happen to me? Of course I'll be fine."
I stared at him intently, remained silent for a while, and then decided to confront him.
"You don't need to hide it from me anymore, I know everything."
One sentence was enough to freeze the smile on his lips.
Su Shenglin paused for a moment, then took the arm I had been using as a pillow, sat up, and his expression turned slightly serious. "My mother came looking for you?"
I nodded. "Yes, Mrs. Su contacted me, but don't get angry with them about this."
I sat up, pulled the blanket over us both, and then snuggled into his arms to lie down.
“Su Shenglin, let me tell you something seriously.”
“I know everything about what this so-called business trip of yours was about. I know that the innocent will be proven innocent and you will definitely come back. But the consequences of this slander are enough to bring considerable negative impact to your Su family. Your father's promotion was delayed because of it, and you were taken away for investigation for so many days.”
"Su Shenglin, I love you, and I know you love me too, but we can't only have love in our eyes. I've thought about it very seriously, and there's no other way for us but to break up."
