He took a step forward, trying to get closer to me, but whether it was because of the pain from his wound or because of blood loss, he swayed and retreated while holding onto the control panel.

The tone of his last sentence was noticeably more serious and tense.
I explained, "He came to inform me of Jiang Yi's memorial service. We had a little argument, but it's nothing. I've already taken care of it, and he's left."

"No, no... but he was injured. A piece of clothing fell off and pierced his leg." I answered part of the truth, thinking that the superficial wound on my arm was not worth mentioning.
