Chapter 624 The Chronicles of Princess Mingzhu of Da'an (Part 5)

Princess Mingzhu's move intensified the rivalry between her two elder brothers, and an interesting incident occurred during the year.

The two men took a liking to a woman, causing a great uproar throughout the city.

The social circle of young ladies in Beijing is in complete chaos.

I heard that this woman is pregnant. It is unclear whose child is the father, but the child is unnamed and has no official status; he is simply the emperor's first grandson.

Mingzhu disliked it, because if anyone had a grandson of the emperor, the balance of power in the position of crown prince would be disrupted.

bother.

Fortunately, this woman loves to run away. We don't know why, maybe her two brothers forced her to.

And so, they were blocked by Mingzhu.

In the grove, a beautiful woman stood before a group of Imperial Guards. Thinking they were sent by the two princes, she turned and ran in another direction.

As a result, they were completely surrounded by a group of mounted Imperial Guards.

From the outside of the Imperial Guards, Mingzhu was carried in in a sedan chair. People dressed in black with auspicious cloud patterns cleared the way for the young lady sitting in the sedan chair, who was completely lacking in proper manners and princess demeanor.

Mingzhu looked at her own fingernails, then sized up the woman whose lower abdomen was slightly protruding, rolled her eyes upwards, and asked:

"Why are you running around like that while you're pregnant? Don't you know you're pregnant?"

"What, you don't recognize me?"

The woman on horseback tugged at the reins, gripped the dagger at her waist, and replied:

"Of course I recognize you, Princess Mingzhu."

"Which of your royal brothers ordered you to come and kidnap me?"

The young lady sitting in the sedan chair chuckled. The crimson rouge at the corners of her eyes made her look even more alluring. Mingzhu herself wasn't particularly beautiful; she could only be considered pretty. In addition, given the rules of the palace, her makeup was always reasonable, compliant, and subtle.

This makeup is something she saw the ladies at the brothel do; it's not proper makeup, usually only worn by prostitutes, but it looks really good.

But in Da Yan, girls everywhere can wear whatever makeup they want. Now that she is the legitimate princess of Da An, no one can control her.

Father wouldn't concern himself with such trivial matters; Mother was busy suppressing those unruly people in the harem.

"Ha, they think they can boss me around?"

"What does Princess Mingzhu mean by this?"

The woman looked around at the Imperial Guards surrounding her and asked in return.

Mingzhu tapped her belly with her red-painted nail polish and replied:

"I cannot let you give birth to a grandson of the emperor. In other words, I'm not targeting you, but it's not acceptable for anyone else to give birth to a grandson of the emperor."

"You think I wanted to do it? It was your fifth brother who forced me not to hit him."

"..."

"The first thing I'll do when I go to Great Yan is get rid of this child!"

"I don't believe it," Mingzhu said calmly.

"What does the princess suggest we do?"

Mingzhu smiled, a strangely dignified smile, and said:

"Come with me, I'll help you get the baby out, and then I'll let you go."

"What if you take me back and hand me over to your fifth brother?"

"You can't fight back. I know you're good at light-footed skills, but you can't beat so many people. Listen to me, let's beat the child, and then nothing will happen."

The woman on horseback looked at Mingzhu, who was speaking softly, and couldn't help but sneer:

"He's your own nephew. In the royal family, there's really no such thing as family affection."

At Mingzhu's signal, the Imperial Guards stepped forward and surrounded the woman.

Mingzhu waved her hand and said gently:

"Grab her."

The woman, bound hand and foot, was placed in a sedan chair and carried by people below. But Mingzhu encouraged her to talk, saying that she might as well chat with her and maybe get some useful information out of her.

"Family ties? How could there be? I took care of my own father's children even when they were in the wombs of my concubines, let alone my brother's."

"Hey, the child in your belly is my fifth brother's?"

"Yes," the woman replied.

"My men say you're one of the top thieves in the martial arts world. Now that this matter is settled, could you do me a favor?"

The woman was speechless, completely baffled by Mingzhu's thought process, and only coldly replied:

"I really don't want this child. Don't make me suffer later. Please call the best doctor."

"Yeah, don't worry. Even my fifth and seventh brothers can't find you when you're with me."

“I knew it was my fifth brother’s; he’s the best at pretending,” Mingzhu continued.

"What favors does Princess Mingzhu need from me? You have so many capable people under your command, and you can mobilize the Imperial Guards at will. What could possibly require my help?"

"Go to the capital of Great Yan and steal something for me."

“As long as it’s not the Great Yan Imperial Palace, I’m willing to give it a try.”

Why is the Great Yan Imperial Palace unsuitable?

Mingzhu thought to herself, if only she were powerful enough to just steal Huo Xiaolong away.

"Because Master Zhenbei is the leader of the martial arts alliance, he can find me easily."

Mingzhu frowned slightly and said:

"Alright, then go to the residence of Imperial Censor Fan in the capital of Great Yan for me. I need the painting hanging in the room of his granddaughter, Miss Fan Lihua."

What painting?

"The painting depicts a woman dressed in red armor, wielding a Green Dragon Crescent Blade."

"Okay, I promise you."

Mingzhu watched as the woman drank the medicine, afraid that something might go wrong.

Seeing the woman on the bed gradually turn pale, Mingzhu wanted to distract her, so she asked:

What are you going to Great Yan for?

"My savior is from the Great Yan!"

The woman was sweating profusely from the pain. Mingzhu held her hand, as if seeing her savior was the woman's only obsession. She endured the pain and muttered to herself:

“I was young then, and my family was being attacked by enemies, leaving me all alone. He appeared out of nowhere, standing in front of me with a long spear in his hand. He was even more handsome than your fifth brother, and although he seemed aloof, his words were warm and comforting.”
