Chapter 196 I'm going to cling to you no matter what.

His hand movements did not stop.

The relentless heat assaulted Meng Jiuyi's body, making her cheeks burn.

"It was clearly you..."

"What about me?" Tan Yuchen said shamelessly, his tone low and lazy. "That night you drugged me and I was out of my mind. You were sober the whole time. I was too busy sleeping to have the energy to violate someone else."

"Where did you force me to touch you... here... or here...?"

His tone was like a curse, constantly throwing bait at her, making Meng Jiuyi's face burn like a small apple.

Compared to his earlier impatience, the man was now quite leisurely, as if he were unwrapping a gift he had long desired.

She was like a tightly closed seashell, which he studied relentlessly.

Meng Jiuyi struggled fiercely, but couldn't break free at all.

Tan Yuchen bit her lower lip.

"You've had ulterior motives towards me all along, haven't you? All that scheming was just to keep it for yourself."

Meng Jiuyi's face flushed instantly, and she struggled to breathe, "No..."

She hated him and feared him at that time, but by a twist of fate, she became him, and was so frightened that she forgot everything.

He disregarded everything and wanted to devour her, forcibly taking all of her, engaging in such intimate acts with someone he barely knew, someone he even feared. Shame, fear, and a burning desire within him made him want to incinerate her.

But he was domineering and forceful, grabbing her hand as she tried to escape and holding her firmly in his arms.

His kisses were relatively gentle, but the rest of his body was completely different; his advances were aggressive, as if he wanted to melt her in flames.

Sweat dripped incessantly onto her face. Meng Jiuyi resisted the feeling he gave her, not daring to even cry, afraid that he would hear her voice and take advantage of her without restraint. So she bit his shoulder, drawing blood, but wouldn't let go...

“I have it.”

Tan Yuchen took her hand and began to unbuckle his belt. "Do you know what I was thinking when I found out it was you that night? I was thinking..."

He bit her lip, his tone roguish and unruly, "I'm going to stick with you for the rest of my life no matter what."

Son of a bitch!

Meng Jiuyi could no longer hear what he was saying. He held her ankle, and she was like a pile of fine sand on the shore, suddenly a torrent rushed up and pushed her away.

Her tears fell so hard that she couldn't speak as she clung to his back.

"...You're lying."

How could I lie?

He couldn't see anything, which made it easier for him to do whatever he wanted. His wrists were firmly held above his head, making it difficult for Meng Jiuyi to speak.

"You say you had ulterior motives all along... but when I... did *that* with you, you didn't react at all."

Meng Jiuyi holds a grudge.

The man's words, "That's all I can seduce you with," will haunt her for life. She'll bring them up from time to time to humiliate him and hurl insults at him through gritted teeth.

Tan Yuchen snorted a laugh, surprised that she was still thinking about this.

"I was just kidding. I have my pride too, you know. If I had to admit that you've got me all tantalized, how could I keep up the act?"

He kissed her lips. "Do you know that I rinsed myself with cold water several times after coming downstairs? When I was itching to beat you up, I wanted to call you over and give you a good beating. I shouldn't have let you off so easily back then."

Meng Jiuyi didn't believe it.

However, he didn't pay much attention to it; the more he couldn't see, the more reckless he became.

A soft sob escaped from her throat, like someone stepping on a swamp. The sound, which made one blush and their heart race, lingered from the bedroom.

--

In the early morning, the faint sunlight shone through the window and fell on the two people sleeping in each other's arms in bed.

Tan Yuchen opened his eyes, and a white light slowly surged up, restoring his vision.

She was sleeping soundly, leaning on his shoulder, her lips unconsciously pursed, her long eyelashes draped over her lower eyelids. Tan Yuchen's fingers gently stroked the downy hair on her cheek, then played with her eyelashes and eyebrows.

Her face was itchy. Meng Jiuyi opened her eyes slightly in her sleep, but couldn't see anything. She hadn't had enough sleep yet, so she followed the source of warmth and snuggled deeper into his arms.

This unconscious intimacy stunned Tan Yuchen, and his heart melted and collapsed. Having her was more joyful than he had imagined.

He pinched her face with a little force.

"ah!"

Meng Jiuyi, who had been dozing off, was instantly wide awake and turned over to fight him, but was quickly pushed back by Tan Yuchen.

His lips lingered on her face, his voice slightly hoarse.

"Stick your tongue out."

Meng Jiuyi parted her lips slightly and was kissed deeply by him. The man's kisses traveled down her neck. The room was warm, and she was only wearing a nightgown, which he then kneaded and rubbed until it was completely ruined.

He hooked his arm around her knee and pulled her up, her skirt sliding down to partially obscure his dark head.

Meng Jiuyi gripped the pillow weakly, tears welling up in her eyes.

When he was above her head again, his eyes gleamed with a beastly light.

The sunlight burned her face, and she looked away, feeling lost.

"Your...eyes have recovered."

Tan Yuchen hummed in agreement, cupped her face, and kissed her.

Meng Jiuyi immediately pushed him away, spitting.

"You're not allowed to kiss me!"

Of course, they couldn't stop him. After kissing for a while, they almost went too far. Tan Yuchen's Adam's apple bobbed violently, and even his breathing became hot.

"Would you like to go see them?"

--

The car passed several guard posts and stopped at the foot of the mountain where the seaside villas were located. Meng Jiuyi accompanied him up the mountain for the rest of the way.

For nine whole years, Tan Yuchen never came after the incident.

Unwilling to face it, as if it had never happened, he was unaware of the changes over the years—behind the villa on the hilltop, his mother's favorite bougainvillea had climbed all over the courtyard, covering swings and rocking horses he had never seen before, clearly well cared for over the years, its branches lush and verdant.

His mother's and sister's tombstones were spotless, and the flowers had never withered.

Meng Jiuyi placed two bunches of tulips next to the tombstone. The words "beloved wife Tan Zhen" were written in a style she had never seen before, as if someone had carved them stroke by stroke with a knife.

Tan Yuchen crouched down slightly, gazing at the photograph in front of the tombstone.

“Ms. Tan, I’ve come to see you. It’s been nine years since I last saw you. I think I’ve aged quite a bit, but you’re still so young.”

He introduced them.

"The girl next to me is called Meng Jiuyi. I'll let you in on a secret: your son adores her. I think if you ever meet her, you will too."

Hearing his tone, Meng Jiuyi felt a lump in her throat.

"I keep dreaming about the last time we parted. I don't know if it's just my imagination, but I always feel like you were looking at me from afar, as if you had something else to say to me. But I haven't had that dream since. Tell me, am I just overthinking it...?"

There are still many unresolved questions about what happened back then, and because it ended abruptly, it remains an unsolved mystery forever.

The seaside villa was a gift from Zhou Congjin to his beloved wife. He designed the house and selected every brick and tile. It is surrounded by the sea on three sides and bathed in the first rays of morning sunlight.

It's been many years since I last visited. It's been renovated several times since then, and the toys his mother bought for his younger sister are still in the children's room.

When Tan Yuchen came out, he saw her sitting by the tombstone, her long hair flowing and shimmering with golden light, speaking softly.

"...I used to think he was annoying in every way, and that anyone who got involved with him would be doomed for life. Now I think there's a bit of cuteness mixed in with the annoyingness."

Meng Jiuyi gestured with his fingers, "It might be more than just a little bit. Don't worry, no matter how wild he is, I can control him. If I can't control him, I'll find someone else who can."

Tan Yuchen: "..."

Meng Jiuyi raised his head.

The sunlight on the east coast was so dazzling, the sea surface looked like shimmering gold in the distance, and the wind was so gentle, as was his eyes.

Tan Yuchen reached out to her, and when Meng Jiuyi rushed forward, he caught her steadily, like hugging a little bear.

"What bad things are you saying about me?"

"...No, I was clearly praising you."

The laughter carried far, so much so that Tan Yuchen didn't immediately notice the steady footsteps. After Tan Zhen left, this place became Zhou Congjin's permanent residence.

But it was a weekday, and Tan Yuchen never expected to see him here.

He planned to take Meng Jiuyi home in a more formal way, and to proceed gradually, since the girl was not quite willing yet.

However, before they could bring the baby inside, they saw Zhou Congjin, dressed in a suit and carrying a briefcase, holding a bouquet of baby's breath.

Zhou Congjin hadn't expected to see him here. Despite his slight surprise, he remained expressionless. Both father and son were unassuming, but Meng Jiuyi was the most flustered among them.

She immediately jumped off Tan Yuchen, wishing she could be three meters away from him.

Of course she knew the man in front of her; she'd seen him on TV countless times. Meng Jiuyi still remembered the imposing aura he exuded when they last met. For a moment, neither of them spoke, and neither of them managed to pull their hands away from Tan Yuchen's grasp.

The man, however, remained nonchalant and spoke slowly and deliberately.

"You didn't even say anything when you saw your daughter-in-law?"
