Chapter 140 Framed

Old Hei took an apple out of his pocket and broke it in half. "Here you go."

Before Sisi and Lao Hei had finished eating the apples, Sun Hu and his family arrived with their belongings.

Tian Yajiao and her two maids were stunned again.

Sisi raised an eyebrow. "You guys were prepared all along?"

Sun Hu nodded. "We've been waiting for you to come and rob us. We really have been wanting to seek refuge with you for a long time."

Sisi smiled.

Sun Hu's group consisted of more than thirty women and a dozen children, all of whom were quite young. The oldest was seven or eight years old, and the youngest was still breastfeeding.

Sisi pointed at the women and children and looked at Sun Hu, saying, "Are these your wives and children?"

"Yes. We're different from other bandits; we're here to make a living."

Sisi glanced at Sun Hu. "You guys are just lucky to have caught the wave of chaos in the world, otherwise the government would have wiped you out sooner or later."

Sun Hu thought to himself, "Well, we've had our fun." "Yes, Sixth Miss, we're so lucky to have met you. If we hadn't, we would have been wiped out by the authorities sooner or later. Sixth Miss, shall we set off now?"

Sisi looked at Lao Hei. "Are there any more apples?"

"Yes." Old Hei took a bag off his horse and gave it to Sisi.

Sisi carried the bag and walked over to Sun Hu's children. She gave each of them an apple. "Eat up."

The children were delighted. "Thank you, Sixth Sister."

"You know me?"

“I know. My dad/Uncle Sun said you’re amazing, and that following you will bring me a good life.”

Sisi smiled. "Your father and your Uncle Sun are right. But the condition is that you have to listen to me. If you don't listen to me, I won't want you anymore."

"We'll listen to you, we'll listen to you."

"Eat."

"good."

The little ones smiled at Sisi as they ate their apples.

Sisi took an apple, walked over to the baby who was still nursing, and gave the apple to her mother. "Here, this is yours. If you eat it, your baby will eat it too."

The woman was both surprised and touched. "Thank you."

"You're welcome. You're all mine now, and I won't treat you badly. Eat up, and we'll set off after we've finished."

Tian Yajiao also wanted to eat an apple; she had been eating nothing but dry biscuits for the past two days. However, she didn't dare ask Sisi for one.

Sisi didn't intend to develop her into a close friend; Sisi thought she was stupid.

Sun Hu was introducing his men to Sisi and Lao Hei when a woman walked over, looked at Sisi, and asked, "Your surname is Yun?"

"Um."

"Your great-grandfather was once the Minister of Rites?"

"Um."

The woman's face darkened instantly. "How could you associate with them? They're bandits! Bandits!"

Sun Hu wanted to get rid of the woman.

Sisi didn't allow it. Sisi looked at the woman and said, "Does the royal family grant a general amnesty when there's a happy occasion? Now that the barbarian soldiers have reached our doorstep, can't we pardon their crimes and let them go to the battlefield to fight?"

The woman was stumped. "I want to go home."

"Then you can leave."

"..." How can she walk alone? "Send someone to take me back."

"I have no one to send you; my men are here to protect our country."

"...Your surname is Yun."

Sisi rolled her eyes inwardly. "Precisely because my surname is Yun, I should prioritize protecting my country. You have three choices: one, go home; two, come with us to Ningyuan City and support yourself; three, maintain the status quo. The choice is yours."

The woman didn't want to choose either. "I want to see your great-grandfather."

"My great-grandfather is busy."

"I am the daughter of your great-grandfather's old friend."

"Then you have to support yourself. My great-grandfather supports himself now."

“I don’t want your great-grandfather to support me, I just want your great-grandfather to send someone to take me home.”

“My great-grandfather had no one; he was exiled here.”

Sisi looked at Lao Hei.

Old Hei picked up the woman and threw her aside.

The woman could hardly believe it! "I am the daughter of your great-grandfather's old friend!"

Tian Yajiao: "..." Xiao Liu is still quite good to her.

Sisi didn't even glance at the woman on the ground. "Have you finished eating? If you're done, let's go."

The little ones shouted, "We're done eating!"

"Then let's go."

Sisi and Sun Hu ignored the woman on the ground.

Tian Yajiao didn't pay any attention. She figured she would definitely follow.

Sure enough, the woman caught up with them after they had walked about seven or eight zhang.

These past few days, Madam Tian has been waiting at the city gate as soon as she gets up. These past few days have truly felt like an eternity for her.

Finally, Mrs. Tian's daughter returned.

Madam Tian burst into tears as soon as she saw Tian Yajiao. "Ya'er, you're finally back. Your mother was so worried if you hadn't come back."

"Mother, I'm fine. I just went out to play with Xiao Liu for a few days. Xiao Liu is so good to me."

Madam Tian didn't believe it. "Come on, let's go home with Mother."

"Okay." Tian Yajiao looked at Xiao Liu. "Xiao Liu, I'm going back with my mother first."

"Um."

Madam Tian pulled Tian Yajiao into the carriage.

As soon as they got into the car, Madam Tian asked in a low voice, "Where has that little girl taken you these past few days?"

"They went to apprehend the bandits."

"Recruiting bandits?"

"Yes. Those bandits are terrified of her. The moment they see her, they say they want to join her. Mother, do you know why those bandits are so afraid of her?"

"She didn't take you to a brothel?"

"No." She also thought Sisi was going to take her to a brothel. "Mother, why would you say that?"
