Chapter 47 The Wind Chimes Stopped Shaking

Chapter 47 The Wind Chimes Stopped Shaking

The next morning, Qin Shi got up early as usual.

Considering that the alpha hormone in the gland was a bit unstable last night, he first replaced it with a new inhibitory patch after getting up, and then adjusted the inhibitory bracelet on his left hand to the middle threshold to prevent the alpha hormone from rioting.

After that, he washed up in the bathroom, changed his clothes, and went downstairs to make breakfast.

When he finished breakfast, someone hadn't come down yet. Thinking that the beta might have slept in again, Qin Shi didn't think much about it. He left a breakfast for the person and went for a run.

Maybe it was a habit he had developed over a long period of time, but Qin Shi got up very early every day. After breakfast, he would do some morning exercise, including running, stretching and boxing.

As usual, after doing the stretching exercises before running, Qin Shi began to run around the yard. He did not run very fast and his strides were not big. What he wanted was to be steady.

In the spacious yard, a tall alpha was running seriously, his breathing was steady, his chest was not rising or falling much, he was wearing black shorts, his long legs were exposed, his arms were swinging in a standard posture, the amplitude was back and forth, and the muscle lines were very obvious.

The air in the early morning was fresh, the flowers in the garden were blooming, dew was still hanging on the grass on the ground, the birds in the trees began to chirp, and even the ants came out to look for food, but the windows of a certain room were still closed.

Qin Shi ran until the first ray of sunlight came out in the early morning, but someone still hadn't gotten up.

Li Yuqing usually has a very regular schedule. Although he doesn't get up as early as Qin Shi, he doesn't get up very late either.

Except for the occasional time when he slept in and accidentally slept until noon, Li Yuqing would get up on time every morning to have breakfast. The first thing he did after getting up was to open the window, draw the curtains, and then look up at the courtyard garden.

Li Yuqing bought that colorful wind chime from the Internet and hung it in the room. He liked it very much. Once, when Qin Shi and he were sitting at the dining table for dinner, he said good things about the wind chime to Qin Shi no less than three times.

He said, "Qin Shi, look at the new wind chime I bought. Isn't it beautiful?"

"Qin Shi, look, it has several colors. This is a colorful wind chime."

"Qin Shi, listen, isn't it nice? Such a clear and crisp voice!"

As he spoke, Li Yuqing plucked the wind chime a few times, making it emit a crisp tinkling sound, and then handed it to Qin Shi for him to take a closer look.

At the dinner table, Qin Shi looked at Li Yuqing's expectant eyes, then looked down at the wind chime in his hand. He thought it was just an ordinary wind chime, but seeing that he liked it so much, he nodded to Li Yuqing, affirming the value of this wind chime.

After that, every morning after getting up, Li Yuqing would run to open the window. When the breeze blew, the wind chimes would sound. Then he would stand by the window and look outside, listening to the wind chimes and breathing the fresh air outside, and he never got tired of it.

Qin Shi was used to it. When he heard the sound of wind chimes while running, he would look up at the window of that familiar room. Every time he would see the person standing by the window waving at him happily, the beta with smiling eyes.

Today, I ran for a long time, but I didn’t hear the sound of the wind chimes, nor did I see Li Yuqing. I felt very uncomfortable.

Qin Shi ran around the yard for another two and a half hours, his clothes soaked with sweat. He stopped and looked up in the direction of the familiar room, only to find that the window was still closed, the light green curtains blocked the scene inside, and the usual sound of wind chimes had stopped swaying.

That guy, is he catching a cold?

Judging from the fact that Beta was so cold last night, it is very likely that he caught a cold this morning.

With this guess, Qin Shi no longer looked in the direction of that room. It was useless to look a few more times, as someone would not suddenly jump out.

The sweat on his forehead dripped and flowed into his eyes. Qin Shi raised the back of his hand to wipe it. His steady breathing became disordered. He didn't plan to run anymore. He took a step with his long legs, turned around and went back directly.

Walking through the living room from the backyard gate, Qin Shi saw the breakfast on the dining table still intact. His expression did not change at all, as if he had already expected this situation.

He walked up the stairs and came to the corridor on the second floor. The door of the room on the right was closed. He could not hear any movement standing outside the door. It was silent inside.

Qin Shi stood at the door of the closed room and paused for a long time. He raised his hand and placed it on the door handle. In the end, he did not choose to turn it open. Instead, he turned around and went back to his room on the left.

After entering the room, he quickly found a set of clean clothes from the closet, then took the clothes and went into the bathroom.

Qin Shi quickly took a hot shower in the bathroom, threw his changed clothes into the washing machine in the bathroom, walked out of the bathroom, found a medicine box from the cabinet, and walked out of the room.

He came to the door of Li Yuqing's room, raised his hand to open the door, and walked in.

Because Li Yuqing never locks the door, Qin Shi doesn't need to take out the key to open the door. He can just turn the doorknob and go in.

It was by chance one night when Qin Shi went downstairs to get something, and then he found that Li Yuqing did not lock the door every night. He had no sense of security at all. Qin Shi didn't know where he developed this bad habit.

In theory, a room is a very private area, and people generally do not allow others to intrude at will.

The purpose of locking the door at night is to better protect one's privacy and personal safety, to prevent someone from breaking in while one is sleeping, snooping into one's privacy or harming one's personal safety, but Li Yuqing actually has no such awareness.

Qin Shi reminded him the next day to remember to lock the door of his room every night, but Li Yuqing never changed his ways. He promised verbally but still forgot to lock the door at night. Qin Shi was so angry that he laughed.

But fortunately, there were only two of them in the house, and Qin Shi would not enter his room casually, so he just let him do it.

Now, he has to be thankful that this person didn't lock the door, so he could come in so smoothly. Qin Shi didn't know whether to be happy or unhappy for a moment.

Qin Shi entered the room and closed the door.

Only then did he realize that there was no light on in Li Yuqing's entire room, the windows were closed, and the thick curtains blocked the sunlight outside. The light in the room was very dim, and there was a feeling of dimness and obscurity. The person sleeping on the bed was very quiet, without any movement.

Qin Shi couldn't see the scene on the bed clearly. He just thought that Li Yuqing was lying on the bed, covered with a quilt, and sleeping soundly.

Qin Shi planned to observe Li Yuqing's condition first. If he didn't have a cold or fever, he wouldn't wake him up and would just go out and let him continue sleeping. But if he had a fever or a cold, he would definitely not let him continue sleeping, but would let Li Yuqing get up and take medicine first.

He put the medicine box on the ground, and in order not to disturb the person on the bed, he walked lightly and then slowly walked to the bed.
