Chapter 19: Best Friend Returns
The sun was shining brightly at noon, but Lu Shiman felt cold all over. The chill spread from her back to her whole body, making her shiver.
Ji Linshen sat back down, a smile on his face, as if the coldness just now was just an illusion.
"Your clothes have been sent to your home. I'll have someone pick you up after get off work. See if you need anything." Ji Linshen said, then stood up and said, "I'll take you home."
When the car was still dozens of meters away from the company, Lu Shiman hurriedly asked the driver to stop.
"Just send it here." It would be impolite to send it again.
"Stop the car." Ji Linshen said, and the driver stopped the car.
"Thank you, Mr. Ji, for the lunch." Lu Shiman opened the car door and left as if escaping.
She walked several steps before she dared to look back. The rear of the car gradually moving away made her feel a little more relaxed.
As expected, the more perfect something is, the more dangerous it is.

The elevator went directly to the president's office. Lu Yannan walked out of the elevator, untied his tie and planned to take a lunch break.
"Brother, just let me be Ji Linshen's assistant." Lu Shiman felt that this matter had to be resolved, otherwise, what would happen if he was really locked up.
"There's no room for negotiation on this matter."
"Brother, do you want me to continue to be shameless and stick to Fu Boyang, or do you want me to be a good boy and learn from Ji Linshen?"

Lu Yannan frowned and took a step forward: "Threatening me?"

With her elder brother's permission, Lu Shiman left the company directly and asked the driver to take her to the mall. She rubbed her hands and prepared to do something big.
Before I even went in, the phone rang.
It was an unfamiliar number with no caller ID.
Lu Shiman watched her phone ring for a long time, and only picked it up when it was about to hang up. But for the sake of caution, she didn't say anything.
On the other end of the phone, Qin Jiaojiao, who had just evaded the bodyguards' search and was hiding in the airport restroom, breathed rapidly: "Man, you once said you would go through fire and water for me. Do you still mean it?"
"Who are you?" Lu Shiman was a little confused when he heard the female voice inside.
"Lu Shiman, you have no heart." Qin Jiaojiao was broken by her three words: "After all, I was wrong all these years."

Lu Shiman suddenly realized and said that the voice sounded familiar. It turned out to be the original owner's only best friend in her life.
Qin Jiaojiao, the daughter of the Qin family, was forced by her family to marry and go abroad to beg.
Qin Jiaojiao lived next door to her when she was a child. She had a cousin who lived under the care of others and she and Lu Shiman could be said to have the same fate.
However, the direction of Qin Jiaojiao and her cousin is different from that of Lu Shiman and Lin Yanxin.
Her cousin is dedicated to fighting for everything that belongs to Qin Jiaojiao, and now she is directly adopted by Qin Jiaojiao's parents.
Life was already difficult, and she was forced to accept a marriage that her cousin didn't want.
"Jiaojiao, why are you calling me from this number?" Lu Shiman interrupted her mumbling and changed the subject.
"Can you come to the airport to pick me up and hide me?" Qin Jiaojiao said weakly.
"I'm not driving, you can ask the driver at home to pick you up."
"No, my family picked me up and packed me up and sent me directly to that family."
"Also, the marriage partner of the Huo family heard about my return from somewhere and sent a lot of bodyguards to arrest me."
"Manman, Sister Man, Mom, please, take me away. The bathroom is so cold, as cold as my heart." Qin Jiaojiao was about to cry.
Lu Shiman sighed: "Okay, eat in the bathroom and wait for me, I'll be there now."
I looked reluctantly at the luxury stores that I had not yet had time to visit, and took a taxi back to Howard Johnson with tears in my eyes.

He didn't ask any more questions and asked his assistant to send the car keys to the parking lot.
After saying thank you, she drove away.
Qin Jiaojiao existed in almost half of the original owner's memories.
They got into trouble together, hid in the corner and cried together when they were bullied, then wiped each other's tears and vowed to make their cousin pay the price.
Forty minutes later, the car stopped at the airport parking lot. She walked out while calling Qin Jiaojiao.
"I'm here. Where shall I wait for you?"
"Go buy me some clothes first and let me change into them so I won't get caught."
"You are filming a movie, why did the Huo family arrest you?" Although Lu Shiman complained, he still went to buy clothes for her obediently.
"He said I was the first woman who dared to reject him."
Lu Shiman: “Isn’t your cousin the first one?”
"Who knows? There's something wrong. Hurry up, my phone is almost out of battery." Qin Jiaojiao had been in the toilet cubicle for almost an hour.
There are no cheap clothes at the airport.
Lu Shiman picked out a set at random, and didn't forget to choose a hat and sunglasses.
The two of them turned on location sharing.
Lu Shiman successfully connected with Qin Jiaojiao.
"Man, I almost thought we would be separated forever." Qin Jiaojiao hugged Lu Shiman, crying.
"Heaven and man are forever separated?" Lu Shiman snorted softly: "Who is heaven and who is man?"
"You are a celestial being." Qin Jiaojiao's eyes were filled with tears. "I am Brother Yong."
