Chapter 479: Is your relationship...really normal?
Lu Shiman was led up the stairs by Qin Jiaojiao.
When she reached the corner, she suddenly stopped and looked back.
A smug smile instantly bloomed on the delicate face.
The smile as bright as the sun was dazzling under the gorgeous crystal lights, and it was accurately cast at Huo Beiyan, whose face was as black as the bottom of a pot, downstairs.
At this moment, Lu Shiman was like a little fox who had successfully stolen something and was showing off openly.
Huo Beiyan clearly understood all the messages in that smile: Your wife belongs to me tonight.
An evil spirit rushed straight to the top of his head, and in the end he could only watch the two women disappear from his sight.
He unbuttoned his shirt irritably, turned and headed towards the study, trying to numb himself with work.
Huo Beiyan couldn't concentrate on the cold charts and dense data on the computer screen.
My mind was filled with anger at having my wife robbed and then being mocked with my face covered.
"Fuck!" Huo Beiyan cursed softly, pushed the keyboard, grabbed the phone and dialed Ji Linshen's number.
If he is not happy, Ji Linshen will have no peace either.
The phone rang for a long time before it was answered.
Ji Linshen's voice was cold and hoarse, and he spoke with obvious displeasure at disturbing Qing Meng's dream: "Huo Beiyan? You're calling me in the middle of the night, don't you have a nightlife?"
These words were like gasoline poured on Huo Beiyan's already burning anger.
He held the phone in his hand and growled back with gritted teeth: "Why don't I have a nightlife? Shouldn't I ask you? Mr. Ji!" The last two words were drawn out, and each word was filled with anger.
There was a rustling sound of clothes on the other end of the receiver. It seemed that Ji Linshen sat up. The sleepiness in his voice faded a little, but the doubts were even stronger: "Why are you asking me? I'm not your wife."
It was taken for granted, but there was also a hint of confusion.
"Heh." Huo Beiyan sneered coldly, his tone sarcastic: "You are the fiancé, Ji's fiancé."
"Your dear wife, you are now in my wife's bed, occupying my wife. Shouldn't you give me an explanation?" He finished his accusation, took a breath, and waited for the other party's reaction.
There was silence on the other end of the phone for several seconds.
Then Ji Linshen cursed in disgust: "Are you sick?"
But after cursing, the voice on the phone softened a bit: "...Let's go out for a couple of drinks?"
Huo Beiyan was just looking for an outlet to vent the anger in his chest, and this suggestion was like sending a pillow to someone while he was sleeping.
Without a second thought, he said, "Meet at the old place."
He hung up the phone, grabbed his coat and walked out.
When I passed by Luman's room, I heard laughter from inside, it was so lively.
That’s right, Qin Jiaojiao specially prepared a room for Lu Shiman at home.
When we first did it, he said that we could just stay in the guest room, why bother with all this trouble.
Qin Jiaojiao put her hands on her hips and said, "That's different. I think she's not here to stay in the guest room as a guest, but to go home. Wherever I am, that's her home."
Then they made a big fuss and set up a room exclusively for Lu Shiman, the kind that he couldn't enter.
"If you want to enter my Manman's room, you must get my Manman's consent."
Huo Beiyan snorted lightly. Lu Shiman was her true love, and he was just a fucking accident.
......
Ji Linshen hung up the phone quickly, got out of bed, went to the cloakroom to change into casual clothes, and just as he opened the bedroom door with his coat in his arms, he bumped into Lu Jianheng head-on.
Lu Jianheng came out of the elevator wearing a silk nightgown, looking tired, with wine in one hand and a wine glass in the other. It was obvious that he was also tormented by his many worries and had no desire to sleep.
"It's the middle of the night." Lu Jianheng raised his eyelids and asked in a scrutinizing tone, "Where are you going to fool around?"
Ji Linshen paused and said, "Go out and have a drink with Huo Beiyan."
"Huo Beiyan?"
Ji Lin nodded and invited: "Third brother, would you like to join us?"
Lu Jianheng looked at the wine that had just been taken out of the wine cellar and was silent for a moment: "Okay."
The black sedan glided into the night.
The carriage was silent.
The neon lights outside the window cast flickering shadows on Ji Linshen's profile.
He was concentrating on driving, while Lu Jianheng leaned on the passenger seat, closed his eyes, and pressed his temples with his fingers impatiently.
The suffocating silence seemed to freeze the air.
It wasn't until the car drove into a sparsely lit riverside road that Lu Jianheng suddenly opened his eyes.
He tilted his head, his eyes flickering intricately in the darkness, and after a long moment of deliberation, he broke the silence.
"Ji Linshen, can I ask you a question?"
Ji Lin stared at the wide road ahead, and upon hearing that, he blurted out a word reflexively: "Love."
The words are clear and the tone is decisive.
Lu Jianheng: “…”
He turned his head suddenly and stared at Ji Linshen as if he was a lunatic. The heavy expression on his face instantly cracked, replaced by undisguised disgust and speechlessness. He blurted out: "Fuck, idiot, who the hell asked you that? I want to ask about serious matters."
He was so angry at this sudden turn of events that he almost had a myocardial infarction. The heavy emotions that had been brewing all the way were instantly shattered.
Ji Linshen was obviously embarrassed by his own thoughtless answer.
He coughed lightly, touched the bridge of his nose to cover it up, and his voice returned to his usual calmness: "Ahem... Then ask Third Brother."
Lu Jianheng was interrupted by him and instantly forgot the question he had just thought of.
The only word left in my mind is "love" repeating endlessly.
He opened his mouth, then opened it again with force, and finally leaned back in his chair in frustration, rubbing his hair irritably: "...I forgot!" His tone was a little angry and embarrassed.
Ji Linshen didn't say anything else. The corners of his mouth unconsciously curled up, and then he returned to his cold expression.
The carriage fell silent again.
The car stopped in front of a high-end private membership club in the city center, and the waiter respectfully opened the door.
Ji Linshen and Lu Jianheng got out of the car one after another and walked straight to the exclusive box on the top floor.
When I opened the door, Huo Beiyan was already there.
He lazily sank into the sofa, with several opened bottles of fine wine and wine glasses on the coffee table in front of him.
Seeing them come in, Huo Beiyan raised his eyelids and paused for a moment on Lu Jianheng: "Third brother."
Ji Linshen took off his coat and handed it to the waiter. He raised his eyebrows when he heard this, walked over to the sofa opposite Huo Beiyan and sat down, his tone teasing: "Didn't you call me Third Master Lu before? Why did you change your name?"
He deliberately pointed out Huo Beiyan's subtle change in attitude.
Huo Beiyan picked up the wine glass and took a sip. Hearing this, he raised the corners of his lips and revealed a frivolous smile.
His eyes swept back and forth between Ji Linshen and Lu Jianheng, and he drew out his tone: "Shouldn't this be... called like fiancé? Ji, fiancée, fiancée!"
Lu Jianheng had just sat down next to Ji Linshen. When he heard Huo Beiyan's words, he tilted his head slightly and frowned.
He took the wine poured by the waiter and took a big sip. The spicy liquid passed through his throat, bringing a slight burning sensation.
He put down the cup and glanced back and forth between Ji Linshen and Huo Beiyan with complicated eyes.
Finally, I couldn't help but speak: "I say, you two should tell me the truth."
Lu Jianheng paused, as if weighing his words: "Is your relationship...really normal?"
