Chapter 62

Chapter 62

The sound of firecrackers exploded outside the window for the New Year, and fireworks soared into the sky. The brilliant red, dazzling gold, and dazzling green lights illuminated the entire night sky, and the light shone faintly through the curtains, briefly illuminating the silhouettes of the people embracing on the bed.

A slender hand grasped the wild donkey doll hanging above the bed, turned it around, and the donkey's head faced the wall.

Lu Mingxiao took that hand back and kissed it.

"Concentrate a little..." His voice was low and hoarse, his ears burning red.

No, he felt his whole body burning up.

He hugged her tighter, hesitant to touch the pretty pink fish, afraid of hurting Jiang Huaiyu.

Her pajamas were damp, and one of Jiang Huaiyu's arms was getting a little sore. She bit her lip slightly and asked in a hoarse voice, "Can you hurry up?"

"No." Lu Mingxiao hugged her and gently stroked her with his hands. Jiang Huaiyu groaned in his arms and instinctively tried to back away.

Lu Mingxiao pressed on his waist, pulled him back, and finally his palm completely grasped the pretty little pink fish, gently stroking it.

A low whimper escaped Jiang Huaiyu's throat, and he trembled even more violently. He tried to pull his hand back, but Lu Mingxiao wouldn't allow it. His wet, hot hand rubbed against Jiang Huaiyu's delicate palm, and he lowered his head to bite Jiang Huaiyu's ear: "What are you doing? Didn't we agree to help each other? Jiang Xiaoyu, why are you dodging me?"

It's too hot.

Jiang Huaiyu turned her head away, closed her eyes briefly, and after a moment made up her mind, placed her other hand on top as well.

Lu Mingxiao sighed softly, a hint of satisfaction in his voice. His pajamas were slightly damp, clinging to his body and outlining the lean, muscular waist of an adult.

The sound of firecrackers outside the window perfectly masked the almost inaudible ambiguity.

Lu Mingxiao's palms were warm. He was bolder. After enduring the buzzing sensation, he was even able to move his wrists while slowing his breathing and looking at Jiang Huaiyu's porcelain-like face.

The once delicate and beautiful white porcelain now showed a translucent pink hue. There were a few tiny beads of sweat on the tip of his nose. His eyes were half-closed, his eyelashes trembled, and the redness at the corners of his eyes spread out, leaving wet streaks.

"Do you like it?" Lu Mingxiao kissed the corner of his eye, the boy's voice filled with burning emotion, falling into Jiang Huaiyu's ears like violin chords.

Jiang Huaiyu moved her lips and gave a soft "hmm," which was so soft that it might be hard to hear if you weren't paying attention.

But Lu Mingxiao heard him, and he chuckled softly, his eyes gentle yet burning: "You can't just think about your own comfort, little fish baby. Why are you slacking off on my end?"

Jiang Huaiyu casually flexed her wrists: "Tired."

Lu Mingxiao thought for a moment and then hugged the person even tighter.

Their bodies were pressed intimately together. Jiang Huaiyu opened his eyes, not daring to look down at Lu Mingxiao, who was holding his hand.

We can solve two problems at once this time.

Jiang Huaiyu could barely hold on, biting his lip hard to suppress the soft sounds. Lu Mingxiao leaned in and kissed him gently, patiently soothing his soft lips.

The fireworks outside the window reached their peak, the scattered sparks obscuring the few stars, and after their dazzling display, they slowly fell.

Jiang Huaiyu pressed her forehead against Lu Mingxiao's neck, her free hand crumpling Lu Mingxiao's damp clothes.

Neither of them spoke for a moment, they simply embraced, their warm breaths mingling, their scents indistinguishable.

A moment later, Lu Mingxiao moved first. He hurriedly put on his pants, which hung loosely on his hips. He was still carrying two people's belongings in his hands. His face was red as he reached for the wet wipes on the bedside table. He wiped his hands first, then took the wet wipes and held them over.

"Wipe your hands, Jiang Xiaoyu."

Jiang Huaiyu groggily handed him her hand. The cool, wet wipe cleaned his palm, and he suddenly snapped back to reality, pulling the blanket over the little fish that had just finished blowing bubbles.

Lu Mingxiao felt like a crab on a hot plate, so hot it was about to steam. He held Jiang Huaiyu's beautiful, slender hand, carefully wiped it clean, and then threw the wet wipe into the trash can.

"Um..." Lu Mingxiao stammered, "That little fish... should we wipe it?"

"No." Jiang Huaiyu pulled the blanket over herself and buried her face in it. "Go back to your room."

"I'll go back in a bit." Lu Mingxiao reached out and picked up the small fish-shaped crepe from the bed.

Jiang Huaiyu peeked half her face out from under the blanket, squinting at him: "What are you doing?"

Lu Mingxiao didn't know where to look. He carried the person in his arms and first placed him on the recliner by the French windows. He then lowered his head and kissed Jiang Huaiyu's sweaty forehead.

"I changed the sheets. I'll rush to the laundry room first thing tomorrow morning to destroy the evidence. Otherwise, you'll be so embarrassed if they find out."

Lu Mingxiao pulled the blanket down a bit, and the two blushing faces stared at each other for a moment before looking away together, steam rising from their heads.

Lu Mingxiao quickly changed the sheets and put on new ones. The bed was clean now, and Jiang Huaiyu really didn't want to lie in the clean blankets, so she wrapped herself in a blanket and took a shower.

When he came out, Lu Mingxiao closed the open window a little, and the stale air in the room had been carried away by the night wind, bringing in some of the gunpowder smell from outside.

His short-sleeved shirt was too trendy, so Lu Mingxiao simply took it off, leaving him in only long pants. He waved to Jiang Huaiyu with a hairdryer in hand: "Come here, dry your hair before you go to sleep."

Feeling a bit sleepy after indulging, Jiang Huaiyu yawned, walked over and sat down. Lu Mingxiao stood in front of him and dried his hair. Jiang Huaiyu had just recovered a little and felt less embarrassed. Looking down, he saw that Lu Mingxiao's waistband was loosely hanging on his hips. The boy's waist and abdomen were firm, and two beautiful V-lines extended into his waistband.

Very...

Jiang Huaiyu's ears immediately heated up again. He snatched the hair dryer from Lu Mingxiao's hand and said, "I can do it myself. You go take a shower."

Lu Mingxiao didn't understand why Jiang Xiaoyu was throwing a tantrum again, but he obediently went to take a shower.

The hum of the hairdryer drowned out the patter of water, but Jiang Huaiyu's ears grew hotter and hotter under the hot air. When they were half-dry, he lost patience, put away the hairdryer, and crawled into bed feeling refreshed.

A moment later, the sound of water stopped, and Lu Mingxiao came out.

It was already past 1 a.m., and Jiang Huaiyu thought Lu Mingxiao should have gone back to his room, but instead, he went into his walk-in closet, probably to find some clean pajamas...

etc……

There's also a signboard inside the cabinet; it's a bit startling when you open the door for the first time.

Jiang Huaiyu opened her eyes, sat up and got out of bed, not daring to raise her voice to remind him, she hurriedly whispered: "Lu Mingxiao..."

It seemed too late. There was a flurry of activity in the dressing room. Lu Mingxiao remembered that the two of them were having an affair. He didn't dare to shout, but he was startled and took a big step back. As a result, the bath towel wrapped around his waist fell off and tripped him.

When Jiang Huaiyu ran in, Lu Mingxiao hurriedly grabbed a bath towel to cover himself, still shaken: "Oh my god... Jiang Xiaoyu, do you know how terrifying it is to open a closet and face yourself? I almost fainted..."

His disheveled appearance amused Jiang Huaiyu: "I can only leave this thing you gave me here. Blame yourself."

“Okay, it’s my own fault…” Lu Mingxiao’s face turned red from his ears to his neck: “Then go out for a bit, I’ll find you some pajamas…”

He felt embarrassed, but Jiang Huaiyu wanted to tease him instead. He coughed and looked Lu Mingxiao up and down, who was trying to hide his embarrassment.

"We've already met, what's the point of keeping it a secret?"

Lu Mingxiao looked like he was about to get used to it and really wanted to crawl into the closet and hide with the standee. He looked at that damn little fish, gritted his teeth, and said, "You're not leaving, are you? If you're not leaving, I'm letting go! I'm really letting go!"

Jiang Huaiyu's ears turned red, and she ran away in a flash.

After Lu Mingxiao changed into his pajamas, he didn't go back to his own room. Instead, he lifted the covers and lay down. Jiang Huaiyu reached out and pulled him into his arms, burying his face in the back of Jiang Huaiyu's neck and taking a deep breath.

"Aren't you going back?" Jiang Huaiyu remained unmoved, seemingly lazy.

“I’ve set an alarm. I’ll definitely be back an hour before Dad gets up.” Lu Mingxiao reached out and pinched Jiang Huaiyu’s still pink earlobe. “Why are you being so bold today? You don’t know, I was stunned when you told me I didn’t have to go back.”

"Is that bold?" Jiang Huaiyu turned over and looked up at him. In the hazy moonlight, his eyes were cunning: "I just think that adults should do adult things."

Lu Mingxiao laughed and reached out to ruffle his hair: "Hmm, a bold adult, little Jiang Xiaoyu."

Jiang Huaiyu grabbed his mischievous hand and they intertwined their fingers.

“And another thing…” He gazed at Lu Mingxiao, from his eyebrows to his lips, “I was thinking that after this, I don’t know when we’ll be able to see each other again, so I wanted to give each other a little treat.”

“That’s sweet enough.” Lu Mingxiao squeezed his hand: “I can dilute this sweetness with water and drink it for four years.”

...

At five in the morning, Lu Mingxiao gently pulled his arm out from under Jiang Huaiyu's head. He covered Jiang Huaiyu with the blanket, but did not get up immediately. Instead, he lay on his side and looked at the sleeping Jiang Huaiyu.

He raised his hand, his fingers tracing Jiang Huaiyu's features in a vague manner, imagining what this person would look like four years from now.

Although he already had that magical photo album, it was just a makeup effect. What would Jiang Huaiyu really look like four years later?

Lu Mingxiao had indeed resented Song Jingliang. After all, only a few years in a person's life can be called youth, and how many four-year periods are there in youth?

But he could also understand his father.

Both sons are gay and have gotten together. Most families would be considering moving the ancestral graves by now, and might even resort to crying, making a scene, or threatening suicide to force the two to separate.

The parents were relatively calm. Even though Song Jingliang reacted the most, he didn't treat them as oddballs or crazy people.

This is already a rare act of understanding.

We should always be considerate of each other.

Let's give parents a four-year buffer period.

He kissed Jiang Huaiyu's forehead again before gently getting out of bed, carrying his slippers, and carefully opening the door to go out barefoot.

Standing at one end of the corridor, he looked towards Song Jingliang and Jiang Lan's room.

The door was still closed, it was still dark, and the two of them hadn't gotten up yet.

Last night, he took a shower and used a hairdryer. It's really hard to say that Song Jingliang and Jiang Lan didn't notice.

It's already something to be grateful that Song Jingliang didn't rush into Jiang Huaiyu's bedroom and drag him out.

After last night, Lu Mingxiao felt he could forgive the whole world.

So he didn't push Song Jingliang's limits any further. After eating dumplings on New Year's Eve, he asked to return to Ancheng.

"Grandpa said he'd take me to some banquet on the third day of the Lunar New Year, but I don't want to go." Lu Mingxiao shrugged. "Besides, I have my parents waiting for me to come home for the New Year."

He didn't linger and refuse to leave, which surprised Song Jingliang.

Lu Mingxiao grinned and leaned closer, extending his hand: "Dad, Happy New Year! In the new year, may all your efforts be worthwhile!"

Song Jingliang slapped his palm with his chopsticks: "I think you're asking for a beating!"

...

The night before Lu Mingxiao returned to Ancheng, Song Jingliang knocked on his door. The little rascal poked his head out from the other side, his lips wet: "Dad, did you need something?"

Song Jingliang felt a wave of dizziness and even wanted to pinch his philtrum.

He glared at Lu Mingxiao: "Come here, I have something to say."

Lu Mingxiao turned to Jiang Huaiyu, who seemed a little uneasy, and gestured to him to relax. Then he gently closed the door and followed Song Jingliang to the small balcony on the second floor.

The villa that Song Jingliang bought occupies a very advantageous location. The community is built in a prime area where land is extremely valuable, and this tranquility amidst the hustle and bustle is the greatest luxury. The distance between the two villas is large, which greatly protects the privacy of the residents.

The property management hung small lanterns in the community, and in the distance, firecrackers crackled and fireworks rose into the sky.

The father and son stood amidst the festive atmosphere of the New Year. Song Jingliang opened a bottle of red wine, poured it into a wine glass, and handed it to Lu Mingxiao: "You're an adult now, have a drink?"

Lu Mingxiao smiled: "Okay, I'll have a drink with you."

Song Jingliang swirled the cup in his hand, looking at the twinkling lanterns on the tree, and asked Lu Mingxiao, "Do you resent me?"

“No complaints.” Lu Mingxiao said decisively, his eyes shining with an open and honest light as the lamplight illuminated them: “You all hope that Jiang Huaiyu and I can live a good life, that we can take the easiest path, find a girlfriend, get married, have children, and that there will be no strange looks or gossip on this path, only applause and blessings. As parents, we certainly hope that we can take the smoothest path and avoid any hardship.”

“Yes.” Song Jingliang did not deny it, and slowly exhaled: “You and Xiaobao, one is a child we lost, so we feel indebted to you, and the other is a child we raised and nurtured with our own hands. In the future, no matter which of you gets hurt, your mother will be very sad. So I hope you can separate for the time being…”

"I will not object to you being together when you can truly take responsibility for your choices and face any slander from others without fear."

Lu Mingxiao nodded, then suddenly stepped forward and patted Song Jingliang on the shoulder.

The boy was already about the same size as his father, and his hands were quite strong.

Song Jingliang: "...Are you asking for a beating?"

Lu Mingxiao laughed: "Fatherly love is like a mountain, Lao Song. Are you afraid that we're too naive, that we'll mistake a niche sexual orientation for a trend, and make a big fuss about it, only to find out when we grow up that we're not gay at all, and that it will be hard to clean up the mess in the end?"

Song Jingliang snorted: "It's good that you know."

“I know…” Lu Mingxiao rested his chin on his hand, his elbow on the balcony railing. “Dad, I know that right now, in your eyes, I’m just an empty bottle, unable to bear any pressure. But I will study hard, I will move forward step by step, and one day the bottle will be full, and then…”

Thinking he was about to say something grand and impressive, Song Jingliang couldn't help but take it seriously.

The result was that this brat spoke with great conviction:

"At that time, you can rest assured to hand your son over to your son."

Song Jingliang sneered: "...Little wild boar, you'd better go to sleep. You'll find all sorts of cabbages in your dreams."
